Can't believe it's almost the new year already!

I hope that everyone had a goodnight and are happy and safe and ready to bring in the new year! 2022! I am hoping that this year will turn our luck around
Being stuck in a motel/hotel in a small room with all four of my family members, loosing my dad, my Grandmother and my Dog has been really really tough. We're scraping by, paycheck to paycheck but here's to holding out hope something good will happen for us and we will be able to find some housing.

One of my wonderful boyfriends () bought me a tablet for my birthday, so I will finally be able to do art again! I am hoping to practice my own art more and do more base adopts. Very excited, very happy lol

I feel blessed to be able to have a roof over our heads, and not out in the streets but fingers crossed we get into a home of sorts soon. I need some privacy!! lol

Things haven't been easy. Still homeless, despite trying our hardest to get back on our feet and staying with Kya mother, things didn't work out. Her husband tried to fight Kya so we had to leave, ended up at his father's house just to get the news that night that my father passed away in his sleep.
It has left me feeling devastated and lost. This year has been so hard and it just keeps getting worse. I have no idea what happens next, we're struggling just to stay afloat.
My dad and I didn't have the best relationship but when it came down to it, I loved him. He was my hero. He always put us first, even though he had his flaws. I'll never get to see him again and it feels like my heart has been torn out.

I understand that times are hard for everyone but if you can help my mother raise the funds for his funeral expenses it would mean the world. Anything helps, even if it's just to pass the word.

Not sure when I will be able to return. Our landlord decided instead of extending our lease, he would give the house over to friends of his. The housing market at the moment is very messy and a bit hard to get into a home that's big enough for our family, but also where we can keep our pets. We have to leave on Friday, and not entirely sure where I'll be ending up but hopefully things will be okay. We will most likely be staying in a hotel as long as funds hold out, but we all know it's been a rough time with covid 'n such. :(
