WOW!

I have had a post from the local cinema.
They have seen me, in my Godzilla air-blown costume, at a local comic con. If I promote the film, by going there, with it, I get a FREE TICKET to see the film!
And it need not be on the same day.

Just lost my cat Stripey. Heard a meow while sorting breakfast. Got back to my bedroom, to find him warm, but dead on my bed.

A very sad day for all UK members. As the Queen died this afternoon.

Just read on Facebook, the original Godzilla suit actor, Haruo Nakajima has died.
I plan on wearing my inflatable Godzilla, with a black armband, in tribute, this Saturday.
It will be at a small con I'm going to.

Dragon should go into production NEXT WEEK. Have to send IW.de an E-mail at the end of Aug, so they will send me pics of the finished production version.

Yesterday was, as the saying goes "One of those days".
I managed to have a kite land in a tree. Thing is it was my best lifting kite. (In the right winds one like it has lifted 16 440ml drink cans, or 15.5 pounds in weight!). Managed to get it out of the tree, but when I got it home I tripped on the lines and broke one of the spars. :( Need to get it fixed, so I can test stuff out, before the kite festival I go to, over the 6-7th June.

I have had an E-mail from I.W.de, saying the dragon will be ready for sale in Sept/Oct. I hope to have some pictures of the final version before then. Hopefully sometime around the end of June, early July.

Looks like the dragon won't be ready till 2015. As they say production is likely to be then. Although they might have the finished version prototype, for me to look at, in just over a month.

Why Plunderbird, for a name.

Well one of my hobbies, is robot combat. Many years ago the BBC had a show 'Robot Wars'. One of the teams was called plunderbird. They hardly ever did well, in all the series they took part in. At an event in London, I managed to get a team shirt. One of very few they sold. So along with the blue camo trousers, hat, plus mirror sunglasses, (Although they had dark ones). I managed to get in to events held by another group, that did a traveling event, for free!! A bit of a cheat I know. I have had to replace the hat, with one I've painted. But otherwise i still have the shirt, and trousers. I plan on putting up a picture of myself in the 'gear' soon.
