I’ve been kinda MIA for a little while there. A lot has been happening.

I had a severe burnout that lasted a while and then we moved cross country.

Pretty much everything has been settled down which is super nice! I do have a ton of new artwork I can share however:

During my hiatus I kinda got super into Steven Universe, I made my own little multiverse AU and kinda fell in love with my new boys. A lot of my new art work is of them.

What happened to my normal babes?
I still have them, think of them as on vacation. I’ve had them for well over 15 years so it’s kinda nice to play around with a new story. Don’t worry, they’re not going anywhere!

As you noticed, my activities still been pretty slow on here. I still greatly apologize and I am still very thankful to those who stuck around. I have actually been pretty active on twitter if you want to give me a follow on there.

Why haven't I been more active on here? ...I don't know honestly. I haven't abandoned the site or anything, I still pop on and check things. I just haven't been uploading much.

Annoyingly, my wacom shit out on me, luckily around that time I actually bought the I pad pro 11 so it didn't slow me down, just a lot of my files are on there and I can't get them off yet. I tell ya, I friggen love working on the I pad! Honestly, maybe even more than my wacom! Love it love it love it!

I actually have been doing a shit ton of art lately, I just don't know if it's something you all would want to see.


And that leads me to my kind of big news.

First, I want to stress that I have NOT abandoned my babies! I adore Kezhon and the rest, they are and will forever will be my babes! I put my heart and soul into those guys!

However, I have had them for well over 15 years now. I drew them constantly for so long, I adore them so much! But I think I just kind of... needed a break. I know their world, it's still in development sure but it's a world I played a lot in. My characters are pretty set, again there are things here and there that I am working out but you get what I mean?

I decided to take a break from them and play with some new babes. I've been doing a lot of art of them because they've given me a chance to explore other ideas I'm interested in that I can't explore much with my regular cast. That and I'm less fussy with them so I've gotten a chance to play around with my art more, discover what my style exactly is and all that.

I would love to share are of these new babes, however, they are more Fan based characters and I don't know how everyone would feel about that.

Detail:

Pretty much, I made a Steven Universe AU. I call it the Garden AU. It's basically this pocket dimension where all these different types of Stevens live. Some go to visit, others decide to live there.

The main three I play with are:

Kitten: A Steven who's naivety led him to get involved in a severely abusive relationship. So bad it stunted his growth (he felt small so became small and just got stuck like that) and messed up his powers so he can't heal right.
Sunny: A Steven who never healed right after his break down and is now stuck between 3 forms, his regular form, diamond form, and his corrupted form.
Zero: The most unusual Steven. In his universe, he is Death, one of the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse, around since before the beginning of time. He doesn't function like the other Stevens and doesn't understand humanity but he is trying. He's just very very awkward about it.

Kitten and Zero develop a romantic relationship, and Sunny is basically everyone's big brother.

I do have a little comic plus mini comics I do of these boys if anyone would like to see. Or see any art of them. I've been having fun with them, it's nice to just get ridiculous with these 3 (as well as have a eldritch horror I can play with <3)

I have some art and stories of them already of them on twitter, I can post here if people seem to be into it.

I may post one or two pictures of them on here. Ones I'm particularly proud of *Good bit of them are of Zero, I crush on Zero not gonna lie*

It's mostly just all for fun. It's something I needed to get a nice break in.

Again, all I can do at this point is just apologize for just being so inactive, I'm trying to improve on that, I'm not kidding when I say it's ben a really rough year or so *course... I think that's the way it's been for everyone! Sad but true*

I talked to my Mom and she was mentioning how she just got out of a several year depression which kinda makes me wonder if that's what was happening to me. I dunno, as I stated before my last job burned me out so bad, several people pointed out just how much better I looked since I left that place, if that says anything. Another HUGE concern of mine is a little before I left my old job I collapsed and had a sezuire and I'm half afraid it did something to my brain, could just be me being paranoid but I dunno.

I still am drawing, but mostly I have just been taking a break and going easy on things, doing crochet work and writing.

A big thing I have done lately is just step back from my stuff for a little and do fanfics and fanart, something I never really done before and I gotta say, it's really nice! Been experimenting and just kinda playing around with things.

My personal stuff is still being worked on and is still very near and dear to my heart but it has been nice to step back a little. Sometimes it's just something you gotta do and it had been a while since I had done that ^^

Hello hello!

I see a fair bit of new people here so I decided to do a little journal to give a nice "Hi, how are ya"

FIrst and formost, I'm gonna be upfront with the lot of ya, in case you couldn't tell I haven't posted much of anything lately. I actually just recently made a post about that, which I'll link here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9479385/

I have been feeling 97% better since then, I've been gradually gaining motivation back, still not gonna full on say what's going to happen anytime soon as honestly, just waiting until this blows over seems to be the best solution.


Honestly, I think what caused it in the first place was my last job. It burned me out SO bad! And the stress levels where insanely high! I don't think I realized it was hitting me that hard until recently. Think I'm still recovering from it, I was at that place for 2 years XD


I do have more than enough stuff to share with you lot so don't you worry about that :P

One concern I have is a good bit of it is traditional art as I really just wanted to focus on that for a bit. Right now I'm just trying to find a way to post that will do the pics justice. I know traditional isn't overly popular so we shall see.

Alrighty, let's have a discussion!

1. What can you expect of me?

I love to draw my babes, especially my main man XD he is my baby

2. Can you draw anthros?

Yes! I just don't draw them often as I don't have many fully anthro characters myself. However with some designs I've been working on lately I do have more to share.

3. Do you do commissions?

Yes and no. I do plan on offering them at some point but once I feel like I'm at my all and I can offer my best to my client in a timely manner. I just don't feel like I can offer that right now.

4. What plans do you have for the future?

My main goal is working on my comic. I've been working on it for quite sometime, some of the issues I have run into were quite frankly... me just being an idiot and jumping into things when they were just not ready! I have been slowing myself down, working on scripts, designs and just going at a steadier pace to really think things through. I actually overcame a lot of previous issues I've had by doing this so yay!

I will be sharing some studies and such that I have been doing for this story however, I won't be opening up any kind of donations, or release dates, advertisements, so on and so forth until I get to my goal.

My goal currently is once I write out at least 10 chapters I'm going to start drawing out pages. And once I get so many of those done, I will announce release dates, donations and yadda yadda. It is my FIRM belief that if you are going to give me money, I want a product to give you. I want to be worth it. So for now, enjoy the art, and keep me company!


Other goals is some merch (just some fun stuff I hope everyone enjoys) maybe some zines (currently I'm planning one fore Mer-may if it's not too late. Got really into mermaids lately XD) and of course commissions.

I really just want to make art my job, young me was an idiot and had no clue how or what I wanted to do, but clearer thinking is a blessing!

5. What is your comic about?

It's a psychological slice of life. Kezhon rejoining society after 10 years away and trying to work his way back into it and his little sister trying to regain a connection with someone she was once close to, but is now nothing more than a complete stranger.

6. Will you ever stream?

Absolutely! I actually used to do it a bit and enjoyed it, it didn't run so well on my computer and I don't think I was the best at it. I want to work through the kinks and start it up again though, would be fun ^^

Hey all!

It's been a while, which I apologize for. I have 100% Still been doing art and working on comic stuff *mostly redesigning/designing some characters and script writing* which I do plan on uploading at some point.

Honestly, I'm not sure or even gonna say when that'll be, I have been just in a weird mood where the thought of it feels exhausting. I plan on coming back but I'm going to go with when I just get that drive back, Right now, I'm just gonna focus on art, writing, and well... me haha

Hey all! It's been a rough few months, the hit to my mental health was a bit harder than I first thought. Kinda had a lot of highs and lows there for a bit, still am but not to the same degree.

I did do a lot of art in the mean time, I hope to upload a few things here today, one being a group of adoptables I'm quite proud of!

A lot of the work I've done recently is mostly traditional, I'm concerned about posting that cause people just don't seem to care much for traditional and I can't seem to scan or get pictures that I feel do them justice. Any suggestions?


While I was out I have bee working on trying to add more environments and generally improve. I actually found a new set up and style I quite like! So have been doing that lately.

Hey all!

So, I quit my job of two years, finally had a mental break and walked out. It's not the best decision I've ever made in my life but I just couldn't do it anymore.

I will be looking for another job but I am thinking I'm just gonna take a little break in the mean time. God knows I need it

Hey all! I'm trying to branch out a little more and refire some of my inspiration.

I know I have been kinda on and off of FA lately, frankly, a lot of it may be I'm just kind of... disenchanted with FA? I've been very busy art wise however I can't really finish anything becaaause I lost my wacom pen >3< I'm hoping I can find it while cleaning the house however it may take me too long.

I may just buy a new one, admittedly I kinda chewed the crap out of it.

I do plan on opening commissions soon, I'm taking my time to do a proper relaunch and working on a schedule for myself. I am thinking that if I decide to just buy a new one I'll open up some chibi commissions to help get a new one.

Hey all!

As the title says I'm gonna work on re-opening commissions. I want a completely new price sheet, one more professional looking and I actually need to have a TOS.

I can actually focus on working on artwork now since I have been moved to dayshift *even though my work schedule still sucks and is random as hell* and I have actually finally gotten my house mostly set up *you know how bad it is when you move but you work so much you never have the time to unpack or properly clean? It kinda sucks* I also finally know how I want to price myself for the moment.

It won't be for probably another month or... half a month depending on a few factors. I really want to take the time to make sure everything is set up just the way I want it, and make some plans for some adopts and YCHs *I do have more adopts in the works, gonna quickly fix up Kezhon's ref, finish up Liam, then I will work on them*


I would really like to bring in some income with commission work, especially since my boyfriend and I are making plans to move in the semi-near future *anywhere from a year to two* And if I could eventually make a somewhat steady income from it, that would be great! But I don't expect that for a while yet.


I also plan on making some merch, prints, keychains, pins, fun things like that.

I think that is all I have to say on that for now. A quick status of my comic work, I have been working on the script though and once I get to the sketch stage I'll start working on some side character refs and such! I do plan on opening a patreon but I am NOT going to do that until I officially have about 2 to 3 chapters completely drawn and inked out!

Hey all! As you can see or.... hope you see haha, I have been trying to become more active. The fact that the majority of my schedule is 7-3 really helps!


I do have quite a bit to upload, one I just uploaded today, and another I have to wait on as it's a gift to somebody, gotta wait till they get it in the mail ;3

A few others are actual illustrations I've done while I was out, they are traditional so as soon as I get them scanned and adjusted I'll be getting those up.

I have a few things in the works, next month I am hoping to do a kink prompt list so that should be fun!

I don't know how active I'll be next week as I'm working 8 days straight so I may be a bit burnt out, I know when I finally get my days off I'm gonna go outta town haha, I'll be needing it!

I'm also going to work at trying to get my art schedule worked out. I would absolutely LOVE to be able to make a living from my art, I know it will be a while before that can happen but I want to try and work towards that :) any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I saw someone do some aesthetic adopts and it looked super fun! I was thinking I may do that myself as I'm kinda mentally drained from work and focusing on illustration type work for myself is kind of a struggle at the moment, mostly why I have just been putting up new refs and such.

It might make for a nice challenge for myself, get those creative juices flowing!


How it will work is that you'll see a little setup of what will be going into the new babe, the animal I'll be using and some items that I will use to create the design. And the rest will be a surprise! What I may do is have one you'll see fully designed up. So that everyone can see that I can do anthros XD (I kinda realized the majority of my account is mos-is entirely humanoids >3>) so this will be a good show of my abilities as an artist as well

Hello all!


It's been a while since I made a journal, and as you probably have seen lately I have been attempting to be more active on here! And actually a few other places. I'm making an art only instagram, reopening a new deviant art, and starting up a tumblr. I MAY try twitter, but twitter pisses me off so we shall see XD (actually tumblr does too but twitter likes to blow up my phone with stupid shit)



Art: While on my hiatus I have been working more with my art, trying to figure out why I don't pump out as much as I used to. What I pretty much learned is that I seriously need to stop trying to do what everyone else is doing. My brain does not work like everyone else's and I keep trying to force myself to work how everyone else works, kinda screwed me over .3.

I kind of went completely back to basics, rereading all my old art books, watching some art videos and just kind of refreshing myself on things. Really helped! Like a lot! Also giving my babes a makeover helped quite a bit, as well as experimenting with an incredibly non-canon idea. Really helped me jolt back into art like I used to be!

So lately I tried a process I feel comfortable with that just works for me.

First, I decided to just stop trying to force myself to be more of a digital artist. At least when it comes to drawing and line art. It doesn't feel natural to me. Coloring? Is perfect! I love coloring digitally cause I can change it up however I want without ruining my lines! I still love my markers but it's nice to color to my heart's content and not ruin my favorite line art.

My new process is pretty much this, it may seem a bit tedious but it actually works perfectly for me given how I work.



1. Traditional sketch: Sketching before I had such a problem with, mostly because I am a huge perfectionist so if I don't get it right after a few tries I will get frustrated and kind just be like "Ugh, screw it!" I don't like ruining good sketchbooks with fail sketches so it kind of halted me quite a bit. This new process actually helps me out of that and makes it more enjoyable for me. Now for a full illustration type piece or for ref sheets, I will sketch out on cheap computer paper

2. Scan and adjust: This is what I mean, I do a quick sketch, get it to a certain point, then make any adjustments I need on photoshop and then-

3. Print and sketch over: I print out the adjusted image and sketch in any detail I need

4. Lightbox and line art: Put the computer paper on the lightbox, and put some nice cardstock over it to do my line art! Super clean lines, love it! No risk of erasing and damaging my lines or paper!

5. Scan for color: I like this cause I can do both digital coloring, AND marker coloring! Also, I can just save my original lines, either cause I just want the lines or if I decide to do something else with them later.

6. Finish! I really love this new way of doing things, mostly cause it combines digital stuff with traditional and I can make my art stronger by doing a process I work best with. Maybe someday I'll find another that works even better, but I sincerely love this as it combines the best of both worlds!


Oh, also, I am thinking about finding a new way to shade, either practice in my own time, or just keep my style as being simplistic with little to no shading. I do have a new creature hallucination I was designing, and hyper detailing that one might make it creepier against a simplistic world.



Comic stuff: I have still been working on my comic, simply staying to doing script stuff. As soon as I get 10 chapters written out, I will start putting ink to paper! I pretty much figured all the things I needed to figure out, like genre, comic or manga, blank and white or colored. So now it's a matter of getting it written which I do have a lovely person helping me out with that! So it should speed it up a lot more


Work: First, I finally got a raise! And a very good one too! It's about time -_- however, my hours still are horrid and my schedule is bipolar as all get out! Last week worked a 13 hr day, this week several people kept calling off so instead of 9 or so hours I was working 10 (I'm only supposed to work 8 dammit! TTmTT) Honestly, those horrible hours and needing to actually have a chance to clean the house is pretty much what has been slowing down my art. Balancing relationships, me time, work, and cleaning gets kind of exhausting. Slowly starting to work it out, hopefully, after all the vacations are over and done with it won't be so bad! Supposedly they are working on hiring more people!



Plus side, I have a vacation to Newport, Oregon coming up! Like, leaving this Friday coming up! I plan to do some cute little drawings on the beach while I'm there ^^ Man I need this! Also, with the nice paychecks, it'll help fund me and my boyfriend's move. Don't know exactly where we are going yet, have some ideas but nothing concrete. We just want to get outta here

I actually got a normal work week! Horry sheet! It's only been 4-5 months!

Also, I don't have to close anymore and will be working mid shift until I'm finally moved to days! Woohoo! So things are going better, actually still working on art so don't worry about that! Just haven't gotten around to uploading anything. I will here soonish, still need to finish unpacking and also hooking up my computer. Doing everything on the phone is kind of a pain in the ass

I'm making more of an effort to draw more illustrations and such. Mostly with traditional medium as that's what I do best. I am working on some new refs that I'll post soon. Gonna be more simple in style as I'm gonna use that new ref site to keep track of things.

Sooo I've had this idea I was toying with for a while now, mostly because I found the dynamic interesting and had fun playing around with it. And just recently I decided to commission a drawing of it, probably the only time I'll ever do it unless the mood strikes again.

Originally, I was wanting to keep it private, as part of my concern is people would lose respect for the characters or expect it to be the norm when it's not.

I have done uncanon stuff before, nothing I've ever shown anyone but have done in roleplays with friends. One of those being Kezhon and Liam being in a relationship *Kezhon used to be bisexual ages ago and was with both O'neice and a male named Benny but the idea was scrapped as it just did not fit his personality and it was uncharacteristic of him*

This new idea, however, is not something I explore ever, but as I said, I found the dynamic kind of fun to play around with, and kind of an idea I want to see drawn out. I'll more than likely not post it on either of my accounts but I am debating if I want to allow the artist to post it on their account. I want to respect the artist's wishes to post things they are proud of but on the other hand, I don't want people getting the wrong idea about my characters that I have had for ages.

The idea I want to stress is just something I just want to explore a little but will never do anything with. It's probably just gonna be this one-time thing and unless a mood strikes, it'll never be brought up again

So I guess what I'm asking is:

If you saw something that was severely uncanon and uncharacteristic of a character, would it harshly change your views on them or would you simply say "Oh well this is neat!" or "I don't like this, but it's a one-time thing" and move on?

Hey hey hey!

Sooo yeah, tried to be more active on here but we kinda seen how that ended up .3. I mean I am still on here, commissions, favoriting things and little stuff like that but not much else. *Zombie if you are reading this I still need to send you a note!*

So what have I been up to?


Job:

I finally got the position I wanted! I moved from hostess to line cook! And it started out super awesome, make good money, love the work, a good people that I worked with I liked. But then the sucky people quit, and like 3 more people followed them. So we were severely short staffed and as a result, I kind of ended up working 6-7 days straight with one day off. *by the way my schedule changed about 5 times now ;m;* We finally hired some people and my schedule went back to 5 days with 2 off, it was peachy keen, the one lady was friggen annoying, "I had 10 years restaurant experience! I have a culinary degree!" Ok great... now get back to work. Things looked up a little bit then we lost 2 people. The one guy who called off and left early all the time then complained about not having a big paycheck. Then miss culinary degree left. She was there barely a week then found it too stressful! The two days she was on swing, the first being a VIP party, which was hands down the easiest night any of us had (seriously, I looked over and she was standing there most of the time) and the second night was hell but it didn't have to be. She was just being stupid, a lot of the problems we had that night could very easily be avoided. Anyway, I'm back to the 6-7 days with one day off again >_< joy. Well, on the plus side it'll be a good paycheck! Especially with us moving next month, which brings us too-

Moving:

We are moving to a larger apartment in January. We live in a small 2 bedroom with 4 people. I am really surprised no one has gotten stabbed yet! And we keep getting screwed over by our landlord. 3 months he has never given us our heating bill and then just this month he has slammed us with a 139 dollar heating bill plus two other heating bills that total up to about 200 something. If we rack up a heating bill that high on our own that's on us. But when it's because of him being lazy? No, I'm sorry but that just rubs me the wrong way. And reason number 3 why we are moving-

I swear to God they like to act like they own the place, they take up all the parking with their cars, scream at their dog *which they are not supposed to have* to go pee outside our window each morning *they are SO much louder than we are!* Friend, family or co-workers coming to give us a ride or visit don't like coming over that much because when they do they come over and bother them for rides or money. The last two instances of them being dicks were pretty much the final straw for us. *Before I forget we live in a duplex type place, four buildings in one, they are right under us*

Night 1: If they came up around 11-12 and yelled at us, I would have understood. We were decorating the tree, had music on, and were getting a little rowdy. So I would understand us getting yelled at. But no, around 2-3 am, my boyfriend was sleeping, the same for my one friend, as they both go to work before everyone else. I was on my computer watching a show, loud enough that only I could here it. My roommate and our one friend were sitting on the couch just talking quietly to each other, and after a while, I decided I was getting tired and decided to get up to get my pjs out of my room and get a shower. I'd like to point out I am the softest walker, especially since I like to wear very plushy socks around the house. Anyway, I was in the shower when I heard pounding on what sounded like our other neighbor's door, then pounding on our door followed by yelling. After I was done I went out to ask my roommates if that was the neighbor and they said "yeah, he was yelling at us to quit walking around so fucking much"

Night 2: This one pissed me off the most. 8 pm I was sitting on my computer, my friend on her's, and we were discussing what kind of pizza we wanted for dinner. My other roommate and friend were again sitting on the couch talking and my boyfriend was at work. My roommate got up from the couch and came into the kitchen for some water *our living room and kitchen are right next to each other and again we are in a small apartment so the walk from our couch to our sink is not that far. And like clockwork, here comes the neighbor, pounding on our door so hard it popped open and he started screaming at us not to walk around so damn much and why can't we just sit down? Like motherfucker... this is our house we pay to live here, you can not come up here and tell us not to live in our own damn house. Especially all the one guy was doing was getting water!


Honestly, half the reason I haven't been active on here all that much, is because I am just so damn burnt out. I have still been drawing when I get the chance but just not uploading anything. I look at my computer and kind of just have the urge to throw on youtube or something, not much else. I can't promise I'll be more active but I really am gonna try! Once we move and my schedule evens out *pleeease let it even out!* then I'll be more active! Just right now, I'm kind of just stressed and tired out.

Hey all, sooo it's been a while... I apologize for that. I was hoping to be more active after FWA but I kinda dropped the ball again. Didn't help that we were heading right into finals after that and doing house hunting so that was fun.


The last few weeks I was just stressed out, tired and fighting off depression. Would break down crying for no reason, I fucking hate crying with a burning passion! Which lead to me getting angry and upset with myself and the whole system starting over again, weee!


I was also fixing my work schedule up for the summer *now have Monday and Tuesday off so far* and moving into our new place. A lot of unpacking still needs to be done but I'm not too worried about that mainly cause unpacking isn't so bad, it's just finding a home for everything that's annoying.



I'm feeling a lot better now so I'm jumping back into drawing and trying to avoid watching too many shows XD sometimes they get a liiittle distracting. I'm hoping that this summer I can get into comic work, focus on just drawing and experiment more. Maybe fill out a sketchbook. That'd make me happy! I also really want to try streaming again. I need to work on my set up by I have kind of the stuff I need (Need to figure out if the webcam will work for showing when I do traditional work, which I do a lot of >3>)



I am planning on opening up summer commissions. I'm going to probably put something up mid week or next week. Need to make sure my schedule isn't going to go all wonky again. It shouldn't but you never know, ya know?



Also trying to find a better job, that's my other goal for the summer. Maybe bank or post office. I've decided that if I can get those jobs on just a high school degree, I might as well not worry about school, the whole reason I want to go is to get a good job with decent pay and hours that'll also allow enough time for art. So again, if I can get that without going into more debt, then that's what I'll do.
