Posted 10 years agoSo I just got the letter yesterday that I wasn't accepted into SCAD. It's actually quite upsetting, this is about the second time now I was denied from a school. I honestly have a feeling it has to do with my math grade. Which for an art school kind of pisses me off, I'm going for comic art not, architecture seriously. It made sense for me not to be able to go to Reno it wasn't really an art school, anything art related wasn't much of a focus. I dunno, I could be wrong, there is also the possibility that they just filled all the "slots" they are rolling admissions and they didn't really explain why I was not accepted.
Letter basically said: "Due to the information you have provided we can not accept you at this time" it's... basically just a form letter. When I was not accepted into the Reno school they said I wasn't accepted due to low math scores and was welcome to reapply after a year I believe. I dunno, I just hate it when things are so vague.
I sent a letter to my admissions advisor hoping to hear about why exactly and if I would be able to reapply or what's going on. I tried to be as honest as possible about why things did not work out with my first attempt at AIP and was hoping that I shown them that I at least matured and was ready go back. I mean it's bee about... 4-5 years since AIP
Who knows, maybe I'd be better off at another school, I hear good things about SCAD yet also very bad things. The big reason I want to go there is because I really want to go for sequential arts. I heard it was a good one for it. Is there any other schools out there that are good ones for comic art? I'd like to know.
Maybe I'll move back east and apply for the local school out there. They have an art program I believe, I can't say it's the greatest of schools but it may be a good little temp. school to get some grades up and what not.
*sigh* Well I'm still pretty upset about this, I'm trying not to get my hopes up yet again that this was due to me just applying in late *which I did*. So I'm gonna watch some stuff and work more on the upcoming comic.

More detail: This doesn't have a script, most of my slice of life styles stuff will not have one as I see it as well... your looking directly into their lives, it feels more authentic for it not to have a script. Pretty much is a wing it type of comic where what happens happens. I am also taking this chance to work with how heats work in their world. You'll probably notice when I finally post it that Kezhon will not have any dialogue, just animal type noises and facial expressions. This is because they enter an animal-like feral state where the "civilized" part of their brain shuts down.
Includes noises such as:
"Predatorial purr": A very low and deep rumbling growl like sound. Can be vocal, where you can hear it, or a strong vibration in the throat. It's very soothing to hear/feel
Purpose:
"Puffing": This one is a little more humorous. At least I think it is :3 It's basically like a loud huff, almost like a snort. Used to express irritation, frustration or displeasure.
Kezhon's heats are dangerous for O'neice, as he isn't as aware of his strength in his normal state of mind. As an example, he loves to give her little love bites but will stop when he gets to a certain point as there runs a risk of him clenching his jaws and snapping her neck, very very easily! I really feel like showing the difference in his strength when he's is and isn't aware of his actions (after this I may do another adult comic where its just them having fun to really show it. As well as one where he gets pissed off at some random).
I think that's all I shall say for now on this comic, it should be ready for beginning upload here very shortly ^^ I'll be going marker shopping tomorrow ;3

So I was thinking of looking into hiring an artist to help me out with some things, such as info sheets for the Info. Dropbox. World building as well as other things (even as a confidante if I am struggling with an idea. A lot of the time what takes me so long is trying to figure out where to go with something or if I like an idea or not). Depends on what I feel like I am struggling with. It will be paying, I don't expect anyone to work for free.
The big thing I am looking for along with skill is that the person is great with feedback and are completely honest. I do not like people to sugar coat things, if something isn't working, or it needs fixed, LET ME KNOW! It won't hurt my feelings, I may be a little aggravated that something isn't working out the way I'd like but I'll get over it, I want my comic to be the best that it can be but it won't be if I can't fix what I don't know is wrong with it.
Welp, I'm off! :D I am going to work more on comic stuff while watching some American Horror Story, think I'll also work more on info stuff. I'm also planning to upload some FWA commissions I got either today or tomorrow!

Hey sims players! Question for you!

With Get to work now coming out I was thinking about sharing some of the sims I play!
1. Doctor alien: An alien becomes a doctor to secretly study the sims in hopes of learning about, understanding them, appreciating them, finding out about their weaknesses so that she may slowly invade, perhaps start by impregnating all sims to start a master alien race
2. Jill the Ripper: She is a personal favorite of mine! As you can guess... she is a serial killer, sadist, and sociopath. In sims 3 she lived in a small town, inviting her neighbors over for parties and trapping them in her dungeon like basement where she slowly tortures and kills them all. And as a bit of side fun, with sleep with all of her victims adding drama for her pleasure. Now, in sims 4 she has become a cop, covering her tracks and taking advantage of some of the information she know acquires.
Those are just two of them, as you can tell the doctor alien is a newbie, she doesn't quite have a name or a really set story. And I apologize in advance but I just really love playing messed up sims! *Funny story, when I was buying sims 4 the cashier said "have fun playing your perfect family!" I just smiled thinking, "Oh buddy, that's not how I play at alll!"*
Optional:
I am very protective of my characters so I may not share the sims of them unless maybe you ask nicely, if you really really want to play them. Kezhon is a fun one to play on the sims because he's a down right lunatic! *Just the other day I got mad at him because even though O'neice was making dinner he kept trying to get at the cupcakes when I wasn't looking =3=*
Also Ravenna/Liam, Harlan/Servil, aaaand his other family members! Which are a bunch of mobsters so are always a treat to play! Expecially in sims 3 where his uncle Augustus owned over half the town and made people "Go missing" =w= I am less fussy about these ones.
So if you would like to try out some of my sims let me know! Who would you like to play?

Upload tomorrow! Work related rant
Posted 10 years agoHey guys! So for sure I will be uploading stuff tomorrow. I was planning on Friday or today but it turned out the schedule changed again so I am working 6 straight days but will have my normal Sunday and Mondays off.
What's really annoying about this is, SHE NEVER TELLS ANYONE! I'm sure my boss seems like she would be a good person but I just don't have much respect for her as a manager, she never feels like she knows what she's doing. Praises the laziest worker there and raves about how amazing he is when he does squat but criticizes all her good workers and if you forget one thing, she goes on and on and on about, it's like really? Look, we got everything else done, the thing you are throwing a fit about is pretty much small potatoes, your golden boy hardly ever gets any of his stuff done and day shift has to do it.
And regarding the schedule, true, it does irk me that my schedule was changed so suddenly, but I can get over it, I get over time, delicious, delicious over time. But I can't stand how indecisive it feels, I planned my vacation days the way I did because the last two days actually fell on my days off. So really, I would only be taking a few days off rather than about 5-7. And instead of leaving the schedule the way it was, she had me working on my days off, I told her I would not be back then, I can try coming in on Monday but it's sketchy, it's kind of like my pillow day in case something happens. I dunno, the whole schedule was butchered, and she didn't tell anyone about the changes! That's my biggest problem here, again, I can live with the changes, it's annoying but I'll get over it. It's when she says nothing about the changes and just expects everyone to know about them, even the ones who have no idea of knowing.
In both situations she is really lucky I checked the schedule, normally I don't because on a normal month it never ever changes, so I'm just used to not noticing it. And my co-worker Eric, was never told about them. Every time there is a schedule change he is on his days off and has no way of knowing about the changes because come on, who wants to come into work every single day to see if anything changed? And she never ever calls him! With the recent schedule change I suggested that she call him so that he knew that he didn't have to come into work that night because I would be in, and her response "Well he might be sleeping, I don't want to wake him up" ...really? He has the next two nights off! I'm pretty sure he won't be too upset if you wake him up!
I dunno, it just feels like she has no idea what she is doing. Welp, rant over! Sorry about that, had to get it out of my system.

Hows life poe? An all around update
Posted 10 years agoHey everybody! Ok so here's what's happening, as you can see I haven't uploaded anything in about a month and that's mainly because I have been severely busy. But the good news is, is that things are winding down and I can start completing the projects I've been wanting to complete! I tell you that trip to FWA is just what I needed!
I do have some stuff done that's on the list and ready to be uploaded, I have only a 4 day work week this week so Friday or Saturday I'll probably have some stuff to upload.
Now it is spring and there is an adult comic I have been wanting to do, I think I mentioned it before... hmm, but instead of digital I was thinking of giving it a try traditionally! Wooo! I finally worked out how I want it to go, my biggest problem with most of my ideas is figuring out how to start it, think one idea is good then decide "Huh.. maybe I should go more this route..." Bah
Anyway, I won't start uploading it until I have about 3 or 5 pages done, and upload a page each week. I'm trying to work out a system.
Also, I also decided that when I update my info dropbox (...I have no clue what else to call it) I'll upload a picture that kinda sums up what it will be about.
Right now (again, since it's spring) I'm gonna work out some Biology stuff! *Fun fact: Poe is a lover of Science and Biology*

and I found a set of 120 for about 500, pay up front or $86 for 6 months which is no big deal. But that I think is through paypal credit. I am always very skeptical when it comes to those types of things so does any one know about it? Is it worth it or should I just be wary?

How are you? An all around update!

So I haven't uploaded much lately as you can tell, which I find funny be cause I honestly have been doing a LOT of drawing lately! I think I will upload something today I'm not sure yet. Probably should.
Anyway, so here is what is happening so far:
Working on some comic stuff: Mainly script stuff for Dissociative, and sketches for other ideas. Some of them are going to be adult because I have been in a sexy mood. Also it's spring! Time for babeh makin' ho ho!
Character and story stuff: So a few weeks ago I threw up some links for character, world and story information. I have been working on that! Have a lot to add for it and once it's ready to read I'll post an update journal ^^
FWA: I've been working on some stuff for FWA, mainly making simple refs (yes I know I already did refs but these are extremely simple and easier to work with I feel, no text, just visual) And also just working on getting ready for the trip.
College stuff: This honestly has been the biggest focus lately. I've been writing up papers, working on some projects, making phone calls, all that jazz. So far it seems pretty promising but I'm still super nervous
Experimenting: So lately with the new simple refs, I have been trying out a new line type and some basic shading. And honestly, I really really like it! I want to post it as soon as possible because I'm just so damn proud of how it looks!
General drawings: So I really really need to get more background and character stuff worked on so I have been working on doing that. It's a little difficult to think of what to do but I do have some stuff that I am really found of how they turned out.
Um, I think that is all today. Sorry for the sketchy activity ^^; just been busy lately. I hope that on my trip I will have enough time to myself to do a lot of work and post something as soon as possible,

Discussion/questions/rant on making unique fur characters
Posted 10 years agoFirst off, I'll be attending FWA! Woohoo!! Probably later today or even tomorrow I'll post up a FWA meme! Ok, now on to the main topic!
So last night I was working on Maddy's ref. sheet, and later on at work I was thinking about this: How come with fur characters (I'm not going to say fursona's because those are made more for a specific individual) their design is almost always limited to the color or pattern of the fur? I'm mean you get different ear and tail types but, even those can be a little generic. Animals have just as many ways to be unique as a human can, it's not something that I see explored often. *I think I talked about this before but I wanna get a little more into it*
Now something to keep in mind when I have this discussion: I don't really explore FA that often. So I could be wrong and it's more common than I think it is, if that's true, then hurray! I'm wrong! XD
So looking around some of the anthros I have seen the majority seems to be generic types of cats and dogs. Like standard cats with pointy ears and the common face type. I have seen some Scottish folds, but I don't think there are many. And I hardly ever see the American Curl or a Cornish Rex, or even an Cymric. All three of those cats have very defining features and personalities that can be played with. Even my cat, who is pretty much a black and white cat has features that I can recognize immediately; Large eyes, round face, short snout, stubby legs, and a short tail (I'm kind of sticking with cats at the moment as I'm more of a cat person but the same applies to dogs as well). I just find it strange that a community that loves animals and prides itself on being unique, they don't truly explore the uniqueness animals can have.
Here are features that I'd love to see more of:
Snouts: Flat faced, short muzzles, long muzzles are a little more common, but not so much with feline chars.
Faces: Cats and dogs can have round faces, wedges, squared, very strong features, very soft delicate features
Noses: Some are broad some are small
Paws: This is actually what sparked it all, you don't see many chars with fur chars that have 6 or more toes do you? Maybe it's just me because personally that's something I've always found interesting on an animal, but I would kinda like to see that come up more. And not just a hybrid of one or more animals but like a full animal who just happens to have extra toes.
Ears: Even if they are just the standard pointy ears, maybe something like a little scar or nitch, perhaps one bends a funny way, whither because it's a birth defect or because it's just in the chars. personality.
Tails: I don't see many tail-less animals, then again I could have sworn I've seen a few... hmm...
If you've seen fur chars that have those things, link them to me! I'd love to see them ^^
**More Personal: Why don't I have more fur chars.? This is kind of a question I ask myself a lot... and honestly... I don't know why... maybe it's because I enjoy giving humans animal characteristics and personalities than I do giving animals human characteristics... I guess I feel like doing it that way takes out some of the personality of the animal itself... I dunno *shrug*

I thought it'd be fun to do that! It'd give me a chance to play more with manga studios and get me out of this art block, I got over it and then it just keeps coming back dammit! Get a chance to poke around in my babes' heads a little. Also I need to practice more with developing a good comic style or just practicing in general, can't hurt yah?

The comic thing can be anywhere from 1 to 3 pages or as I see fit. I will try to answer all questions in this fashion unless I feel it really can't be done, in which case I'll just answer you. But It's more of a challenge to try and comic it out ;3

So only two updates today,
1. I'm working more on doing a full information type journal that'll be posted mainly on my commissions account. I'm still working it out but when the time comes I will be doing a journal update there ^^ and I'll be sure to update here when that happens
2. Dissociative exclusive: I am not going to go much into this because if I say something I'll just jynx myself but it's a special comic I'm planning to do that's tied into my main comic and it's going to be on the sexy adult side of things :P. Currently I'm going through the sketching process, I'll do a full update once I get at least 5 pages done. I've decided that I really want to dive into more comic styles, something that's going to fit with my main story so I figured this will be a good chance to play around with it.
I think that's all I got for right now, hope you guys are having a good 'en :D

AVG being a dick, help? Better virus programs?
Posted 10 years agoSorry for this journal, I actually have a better journal in mind to post up later but I'm putting this one up now because I'm about ready to smack my head off of my desk until my brains are on the floor... and now that, that image is in your head I'll continue:
Ok, so lately as the title says, Avg is being a dick. Before it just happened with FA, every time I went to a new page it popped up saying it blocked a virus threat. And then it just stopped. I assumed that FA really did have issues or AVG wasn't as good as I originally thought it was. Someone who did work with computers has told me that AVG has had a reputation of putting small viruses onto your computer so you would keep buying and updating from them or something. Not sure how true that actually is but anyway.
This problem came back again just today. Only this time it's with EVERY site! Every time I go to a new page it pops up! And it doesn't do it any other time UNLESS I am going to another page. I did a virus scan to see just what the issue was and it came up with nothing, which is pretty fishy if you ask me. I'm starting to wonder if what that guy said was true and AVG is junk. If it is, does anyone have any suggestions as to better virus protections? Other than Norton, cause F Norton. Or at least away to stop it from popping up?
Sorry about the computer issue journals XD I promise later today to have a better journal up and hopefully some art if my scanner cooperates. It's just it's annoying as hell reading this one comic and every time I go into the next page I have AVG popping up going "DINK!"

Posted 10 years agoHey all! First off, I should apologize for the spotty activity on here, I have tons to upload, about 30 things of art work, traditional and I think one digital. But in all honesty I have had such a hard time when it comes to sleep. I just always feel tired, even when I get a LOT of sleep! I don't know what it is, I just don't feel like I have the energy to do anything, and it sucks! Feels like all I'm doing is sleeping and working anymore. Ah well, I'm going through and situating some things so it should clear up soon. I think a lot of it has to do with the weather, it's like spring then cold hits then my body doesn't know WHAT to do! Haha, ah well. It'll pass, anyway, on to what I am asking:
Ok, As you all know or, as I have mentioned, I just got me Cintiq Companion 2! And so far I am really loving it! The only problem is:
So far the only program I can use is Manga Studio 5. I can't find PS 5 as a trail anywhere so I can put in my serial number from my disk, and Sai has had this really weird ass thing where when I am trying to draw, my line is like 2 inches from my pen. How the hell do I fix that?
Any help will be greatly appreciated, I can do without PS for a while, I just need to find a way to get the trial (if anyone has a link that would be helpful) But I'm not familiar with Manga studio yet to depend on it and I prefer Sai a lot more, so please please help me out here!

Update! Bodies, work, and art
Posted 10 years agoHi all! First off, sorry it's been a bit, I don't know what it is but I have been sooo tired lately! Like can hardly keep my eyes open. So here is an update! So you at least know what's going on:
Art:
I have a LOT of art to upload! Including a Valentine's day pic. (way to be late POE!) There all traditional peices that I am severely proud of. Half the reason I am so late with it is because I don't want to mess with my scanner, but dammit I gotta! And I shall! So wish me luck... I've also been working on KJ's ref. sheet. I've just been in the mood to draw him lately, man's just fun! Though I have been debating on changing his name to Seamus but keeping his nickname. Here is the story I came up for that, tell me what you guys think:
So what do you all think? Works or no? Feel free to ask questions! Kj has been Kj for so long that I really don't want to change it, but I feel like I should so if I do I'm trying to find a way to keep him still Kj.
I also JUST got my new cintiq the other day! Wooo! I'm still setting it up and fiddling around with it, may work on it more during my days off but, nnnph! So damn excited!!! So far despite a few issues I need to figure out yet I am really loving it! It does have a very natural feel to it, my old cintiq has a glassy surface while this one seems to feel a little rougher, almost like paper which I love!
Bodies:
Well body, pretty much my Mom found a body almost frozen to death on the road a few days ago back home. Severe hypothermia, he was like an iceberg when she found him! She almost ran him over because she didn't see him, he was laying half way on the road, his head right where her tires would have been. He's in the hospital right now, from what I know, it sounds like he's going to come through. We're really not certain, but we're hoping he's going to be ok. My brother was with her but thankfully he was asleep during the whole thing.
Work:
...Why is my work so damn weird? We've been having drug addicts and drama the past few weeks! One time it was a domestic disturbance, a husband pushed his wife into a door and busted her head open *well not exactly pushed into it, he shoved her and she fell into the door which still is a no no* so police had to be called and he had to be arrested. Then last week we had this one drug addict come in, he was obviously on something, he shuffled about, sat at one of the machines flapping his hands and talking to himself, had to boot him out because he was freaking everyone out. He came in the night after, this time he seemed a little more sober... meaning he was less weird. This time he came in with some friends. They sat at the one table drinking all night, playing some pool, no big deal, nothing wrong with that. Around 3 o'clock am I went and sat over with the count team and eat my lunch with them. It's pretty much a break time for all of us because nothing really goes on at 3 am. And it freaked the guy and his friends out! His one friend came over and asked if they wanted to play pool, no biggie, I've been asked that before, pretty much just say "sorry but I'm on the clock I'm not allowed." They say "aww that sucks!" We chat a bit, sometimes offer to play a song you want on the jukebox and that's that. But these guys started to get paranoid, wanted to know what we were doing there, how we were killing them for not telling them. Even though the security guard that came with the count team told them, that they were on break and just relaxing a little before they had to go into the count room. But apparently that was too hard to believe.
Eventually count team got annoyed and went to sign out the keys, which I went with them but came back when the security guard got up to go buy something from the store next door. I really didn't trust these people around our stuff. The two guys went to talk to my bartender while the girl got up and started to circle the table where I was sitting and all of the count teams coats and stuff were laying. I wanted to get up and tell Tiny about it but again, really didn't want to leave anything alone. Then she pulls out her camera and starts snapping pictures, like what the fuck lady?! Apparently they though the count team and I were a surveillance team watching them, because the one guy was saying that he was in Special Ops and knows how surveillance teams work. Which if that's the case, the count team is one of the worse surveillance teams ever because half of them were sleeping! They finally left when Tiny told them: "You know it's weird that your worried about them because this place is covered with cameras in every nook and cranny..." Which is true, we work in a casino, it's littered with cameras, they left immediately after hearing that!
And just this week, the start of my week, we had this other drug addict come in, and my God was she a weird one! First she didn't do much, she got a drink, and moved around, sitting at different machines and staring at them. Freaky, but not really doing anything, which we had to kick her out soon anyway because you can't be in there unless you are doing something, loitering like that is not allowed. At one point I even saw her standing in the back corner of the pool room muttering to herself. At one point she tried to get into the ATM but said that she forgot her card in her car so she went out of the casino. It was 3 so as usual I went to eat my lunch and Eric, my other bartender when Tiny has off, went to check the doors because the last two times she left and came back in she FORCED HER WAY IN! That door was locked and she pushed on it so hard you could hear the lock pop! So he went to check it and right at that moment I heard a loud bang on the wall and looked up to him "She just jumped into the trash can!" Me: "What?!" Eric: "She just threw open the trash lid and half her body is in the trash can!"
Apparently she saw him looking at her and she tried to get back in but Eric told her she wasn't allowed. So she said she was going to call her mother. We didn't see much of her for an hour and a half before she barged her way in, AGAIN, and said that apparently someone attacked her and cut her hand, she was bleeding. Which we're both definitely certain she did herself because when Eric told her that if she didn't leave he would call the police and she got pissed off! Saying that her brother was a cop and something something something. Now if I was attacked by someone and the person I was talking to said they would call the police I would say "Good! Fucking call them!" Also, just across the road from us is the Sheriff's station, I would think that would be a better place to go. But now, she stormed out and went back to circling the building, walking, pacing around the hallways banging on the other doors wanting to get in. Eric got the phone and called up the police, they said they would send someone but no one ever came which makes me angry. Eventually I think she gave up because we didn't see her for the rest of the night. But as it Eric said, it was like a friggen horror movie! She circled around, banged on the side doors, forced her way in, I dunno, she was a strange one. My whole last few weeks were just strange! XD
Well that's all from me for now! Hopefully Sunday and Monday when I have off I can upload some stuff, there is going to be a LOT so sorry in advance for the spam XD I'll try to ration it out so it's not crazy. Take care all!

Eventually count team got annoyed and went to sign out the keys, which I went with them but came back when the security guard got up to go buy something from the store next door. I really didn't trust these people around our stuff. The two guys went to talk to my bartender while the girl got up and started to circle the table where I was sitting and all of the count teams coats and stuff were laying. I wanted to get up and tell Tiny about it but again, really didn't want to leave anything alone. Then she pulls out her camera and starts snapping pictures, like what the fuck lady?! Apparently they though the count team and I were a surveillance team watching them, because the one guy was saying that he was in Special Ops and knows how surveillance teams work. Which if that's the case, the count team is one of the worse surveillance teams ever because half of them were sleeping! They finally left when Tiny told them: "You know it's weird that your worried about them because this place is covered with cameras in every nook and cranny..." Which is true, we work in a casino, it's littered with cameras, they left immediately after hearing that!
And just this week, the start of my week, we had this other drug addict come in, and my God was she a weird one! First she didn't do much, she got a drink, and moved around, sitting at different machines and staring at them. Freaky, but not really doing anything, which we had to kick her out soon anyway because you can't be in there unless you are doing something, loitering like that is not allowed. At one point I even saw her standing in the back corner of the pool room muttering to herself. At one point she tried to get into the ATM but said that she forgot her card in her car so she went out of the casino. It was 3 so as usual I went to eat my lunch and Eric, my other bartender when Tiny has off, went to check the doors because the last two times she left and came back in she FORCED HER WAY IN! That door was locked and she pushed on it so hard you could hear the lock pop! So he went to check it and right at that moment I heard a loud bang on the wall and looked up to him "She just jumped into the trash can!" Me: "What?!" Eric: "She just threw open the trash lid and half her body is in the trash can!"
Apparently she saw him looking at her and she tried to get back in but Eric told her she wasn't allowed. So she said she was going to call her mother. We didn't see much of her for an hour and a half before she barged her way in, AGAIN, and said that apparently someone attacked her and cut her hand, she was bleeding. Which we're both definitely certain she did herself because when Eric told her that if she didn't leave he would call the police and she got pissed off! Saying that her brother was a cop and something something something. Now if I was attacked by someone and the person I was talking to said they would call the police I would say "Good! Fucking call them!" Also, just across the road from us is the Sheriff's station, I would think that would be a better place to go. But now, she stormed out and went back to circling the building, walking, pacing around the hallways banging on the other doors wanting to get in. Eric got the phone and called up the police, they said they would send someone but no one ever came which makes me angry. Eventually I think she gave up because we didn't see her for the rest of the night. But as it Eric said, it was like a friggen horror movie! She circled around, banged on the side doors, forced her way in, I dunno, she was a strange one. My whole last few weeks were just strange! XD

Finally bought my portable cintiq ;w; & small art update
Posted 11 years agoSo after months of saving I finally got to buy the new cintiq companion 2! Yaaay! And I got to get the 1999.00 one ;w; It was a good day! Though I kind of felt bad for the girls at the bank because I came in half asleep and excited XD Their questions didn't register very well with me, I probably looked like a crack head or something haha! Speaking of which, that reminded me of this weird guy that came into work to drink and gamble last night. He was... pretty strange... he was on something but we couldn't figure out what, he left after Eric told him he wouldn't serve him any more alcohol, which in this guys case needed to happen, he didn't need to be any worse than he already was!
Well that's all from me! OH! I also forgot to mention I finished up my portfolio stuff ^^ I just have to scan it and I should be uploading it in the next few days! I also will be working on a valentines day piece, hope you enjoy!

Posted 11 years agoHey all! So I was working on the newest mini comic and decided to take a break and draw something up and... my mind went blank... Maybe focusing on Portfolio work kind of put my mind in a stand still but I really could use a good brain jarring... so you guys got any ideas? I really want to try something illustrative with a background and something that will force me to try and shade, as most know I kind of stray away from shading quite a bit...

Honestly? I've also been working on some character stuff! So there will be some more refs up eventually with new information!
What kind of stuff?
Well first with Kezhon, recently I have been working on portfolio stuff (that's another thing I have been focusing on for a while, I will be uploading some of the stuff I have done once I get enough 10-20, I'm aiming for 20!) and I drew up my old wolf-dog Whya, and Whya had a feature on dogs that I actually really like, it kind of adds some character. And that's the black-ish spots on the tongue. I added this because, not only is it a favorite feature of mine, I also wanted to aim to make Kezhon more than just a guy with Ears and that. He is small part human but he is not human. So I'm aiming for a realistic blend that will fit with the story as well as make him more defined.
KJ, Kezhon's son, I recently decided had ADHD. I feel like being a hybrid he would have some issues, most do. From minor things to more extreme things. And I feel like that would be one of his issues, also, looking into the type of person he is, he has a LOT of energy and a big personality to him and can come off rather strange where he honestly makes no sense to anybody but himself (hurray for eccentric people!). And... I have a friend who fits that very definition, and yeah, she has ADHD *I have known her since 6th grade and I still can't figure her out!* He actually fits the definition of a few people I know with it haha. Anyway, I've been doing some research into it (big reason, I do NOT want to do the stereotypical route, AT ALL!) and I think it'll be an interesting add on to an already interesting guy ^^
Sandy's name change. Kezhon's second son Sandy is now named Iulian (Julian), after O'neice's father. I was thinking between Either Seamus (Kezhon's grandfather) or Iulian, and... I really think the respectable thing would be to name him after Iulian. Which brings me to my next thing:
I'm working on my Charahub, which I'll be throwing up as soon as I get more written out, I still have a lot of tweaking to do. And I'll also be throwing up a journal or submissions of things you may NOT know about them, things that may or may not be mentioned in story or even in another story (I really want to do a mini comic on O'neice's story, let people see what kind of person she is and why.)

...sorry bout that v3v anyways, as I've stated before, I am in script mode right now, I have a page I've been working on but I am still at this point in my work where, I feel like I can do better. This comic is my baby and it deserves my best. Most of you probably already know this but it bares mentioning again so you know that I have not forgotten about it! As I said I'm trying to get back into college, have been playing with different styles and techniques with my mini comics, and all of it is to make sure my story and characters get the best from me (wow that sounds insane... XD) So far I have been getting some amazing ideas for it, and it makes me pretty happy that I went back to just taking my time on it, I will be posting up doodles of like house lay outs, some other character designs, things of that nature! And maybe even the script for "Little Fish" the little comic within the comic!
**ps. Also I want to save my bigger works or when I get my new Wacom Cintiq. As I said the wires are wonky yet so it's a little difficult to work with and it gets frustrating**
Um... yeah I'm going to end it hear for now because I yapped enough and I'm hungry sooo...

Update number 2! Where am I going? Art and life!
Posted 11 years agoHi friends! So, now that things are starting to settle down I got to do a little thinking, and here is where I am at right now:
Personal news:
My bouts of depression and exhaustion is starting to wear down. I'm getting to a point where I am figuring out what I want to do with my life, and it feels pretty good. I'm getting things paid off, my grandparents are helping with my student loans, getting them to a point where they are not intimidating to pay off. I know I have to pay them off but that school just... was so much trouble, and was just a bad time in my life, I ended up failing out because of math and honestly, just having to acknowledge their existence and have to give them my money is upsetting, but it's almost gone! Woowoo!!!
The other day my Gram was hanging up pictuers and the ladder broke and she ended up falling on some stuff, thankfully she only broke some ribs (I say thankfully because she has trouble with her blood, bruises very easy and can get internal bleeding) She's doing just fine now, she's still achy, but can walk around. Right now she's just upset her ladder broke XD
Gram: Ohh... my ladder broke...
Me: Gram we are more concerned about you breaking
Gram: ... yeah but I like my ladder...
She's a tough ol' bird XD
I meant to get some drawing done these days off but pretty much just wanted to relax, it's one of those, just want to spend it doing nothing except horror movies!
I also want to try and get some weeks off, possibly in February but that's iffy. I just really could use a nice long break right now! Go back east and visit some relatives :D I may change it to spring time because then I can at least go when it's warm!
Art news:
First, the good news is, I am getting really really close to having enough to get my cintiq companion!! Though they are coming out with a new one so I don't know if I want to get that one or the "older" one... it doesn't really matter to me, as long as it can do what I want it too.
I still have some things I need to catch up on, it seems like that in the winter months things always go crazy on ya!
I want to try and start doing a chibi comic a week, since this weekend was a break weekend for me I think next week is when I will start (or even this week if I get lucky!) I've been feeling real good about my art work lately ^^
Art school:
After talking to some people I decided that I am going to try going back to art school, SCAD to be specific. I heard a lot of great things about it, and I really really think it could work out for me! And compared to the first time I went, I really feel like I am ready this time! *The first time I went I also rushed into it, wasn't sure of myself, didn't have a lot of experience in some things, my art needed a lot of work yet. Also there was a LOT of stress! Home life and school life, my already mental problems just got worse and I would black out, a LOT! omo I was constantly forgetting things and it was just the worse!. I feel confident now, a lot of my problems I learned to work with so, I think I'm ready now ^^*
I also think it's the best thing to do for my comic, as those of you know, it is my baby, I want to give it and my characters the best ^^ *Poe you sound seriously insane...* owo that's cause I am
I still really want to move to Oregon, but the way I see it is, Oregon will always be there, ...unless someone nukes it... So I can go to art school first then work my way up to moving to Oregon like I want!
I'm aiming to start in September I think, I can save up some money from work and have an easier start this time around.
What if you don't get in? ...Well then I'll just use my saved money and go to Oregan XD

I have been doing a lot of writing and sketching, I kind of slacked off on it because of all the shit going on recently, but I got my cintiq to cooperate with me for a bit, just have to be careful of how I move it. But it's going very well! I have a lot of great ideas for it, everyday I'm coming up with something even better :D
All in all:
All in all things are going pretty well for me! I'm starting to figure out where I am going in life, what I have to do to get there, and learning more about myself and how to appreciate who I am. I'm feeling confident this is what I want to do and that I can now do it, really think 2015 is going to be my year :3

Schedule finally going back to normal! And more
Posted 11 years agoHi all! Just a quick update, my work schedule is finally getting back to normal! My normal Sunday and Mondays off, thaaank GOD!
Things are finally starting to wind down so I'll be able to catch up on a few things that I kind of put off because I just was not in the mood.
I've also decided that with some of my more random fun comics I think I'm just going to do them in the chibi style like in my last comic, mainly because I really like how it looks and it's quick and too the point. Also can explore different ways to do things ^^ I'm going to attempt doing one every week or every other week, it's a nice warm-up and is just fun to do as well as just being very relaxing
Welp that's all from me! I'm going to get back into my arts, load up some youtube and get a yummy snack, take care all!
