After coming back from Eurofurence 19, I found myself suck into job and gaming. I spend most of my time in studio, my work isn't very consistent, I can't draw anything personal back at home but relax and play video games, so that I can sleep without having my work in my dream. Now, I will make a decision: after two months, I will terminate my full-time contract, and start work as freelance artist.

Many people thinks it's a dumb and wrong idea, for me there's no right or wrong decision, 'cos the person himself learn the consequences. Although I have plan for working personally, I might go back to studio someday for part-time. However I won't be working as full-time since my work rate is unstable, beside I prefer drawing cartoon illustration to cartoon animation.

It's been two weeks after Eurofurence 19, and I would like to give my honest opinion: I didn't enjoy this furry convention much...

SAY WAT?

Maybe it's our human nature that we wanna have more than what we have. Last year EF18 is my very first experience of furry convention, I feel fascinating to see fursuiters for the very first time and have a wonderful experience. However due to my passive social attitude, I can't found the community that I can join in, especially interact with the fursuiters. I still don't have the courage to meet and talk with many furries there...

But I did have some good memories about EF19. First, it's meeting with the Guests of Honor: the puppeteers of British puppet comedy Mongrels Andy Heath and Warrick Brownlow-Pike. I attend most of their classes about their experience of being a puppeteer, and learn a few moves of puppeteering. Second, I have my very first experience of staying in night bar party, until near the sun rises. Although alone, I enjoy listen to those '80 rock music and watching all the wild critters dancing, without getting drunk XD

Maybe it's time for me to attend a different furry convention, to find a better community and new experience. I will missed all the furiends I met on Germany, I hope we can meet again somewhere =3

31st Sep 2012 (Day 3) -->

After met with  draconder and had an art trade with him, my travel buddies and I went to Dealers' Den again and finally got into the long queue, I bought Nordguard - Book One - Across Thin Ice drawn by  blotch, a printed artwork of http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2452451/ drawn by  darknatasha and The Art of Brian Reynolds and Tracy Reynolds aka  Calicougar. After that I met up with  Blue and  rangarig, we had some conversations and art trade as well. Later evening it's time for the Fursuit Parade, which all the fursuiters walk across the city. Since Silver followed them with camcorder, I decided to stay at the hotel, which I feel totally regret for missing the fun...After had dinner with  rangarig,  greldon and  the_s, Silver and I wait for the Fursuit Gameshow where Alexia and Hiro took part at. However it was delayed for a long time, I was so tired of waiting so I went back to my room and slept...

1st September 2012 (Day 4) -->

This day Silver decided to have his fursuit on the whole day, and I had this crazy idea too: set up "Will Draw 4 Fur Hugs" on the lobby to draw for random furries in exchange for hugs. On afternoon both of us followed Hiro, Alexia and Aphinity to a shopping mall nearby, but I forgot to bring more Euro so I planned to come again the next day (which it's a huge mistake...) Later that night, we went to watch the biggest feature of EF - The Pawpet Show- Pompeii, a 2-hours puppet show which is a time-travel romance story about Marcus the fox and Vinnie the rat went back to 79 AD before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, met with two female slave foxes, Vesonia and Aurelia and fight against their cruel owner and nobleman Caius. I love the performances very much, and bought a large poster of the show.

2nd September 2012 (Day 5) -->

It's the last day of Eurofurence 18. Since there aren't any activities on daylight except some of furries checked out and went back home, after went online for a while, Silver and I went out for shopping. However, we found out that the city is too quiet, no traffic jam, and none of the shopping malls were opened. Later we learned that Germany is a Christian country, and the Christians will visit the church on Sunday morning. The government ban all shopping on Sunday, only some convenience stores and restaurants are allowed to open with license....For us Asian, Sunday is the perfect day for shopping, so we feel very awkward and disappointed...

However, things didn't get as bad as just now. I was suprised to met  Tabbiefox when we came back, and he asked us to join dinner with  Henrieke  Karpour  Diti  magrcon and  yotienpluche. I tried to hide my fanboy's enthusiasm while having dinner with my favourite cartoonists. Later I was invited to have a small art gathering with them again. Even though it's just for a short time, I'm very glad to stay and chat with them, it was a night to remember =3

3rd September 2012 (Day 6) -->

Eurofurence 18 is over, and we have to go back home. Lots of furries checked out, and everyone said farewell and gave goodbye hugs to each others before departure. I looked around the lobby and started to have flashbacks of all the events on EF, it feels like it was just yesterday. It was a epic, wonderful event that I will never forget. I will probably attend EF next year again if my finance allowed so...hopefully I will have my own fursuit by the time and meet more furries in the future =3

This journal is about my epic trip to Eurofurence 18, I will separate into two journals 'cos it will be quite long for y'all to read, so here we go:

28th Sep 2012 (Day before EF) -->

After 12 hours of airplane flight from Kuala Lumpur to Amsterdam, 45 minutes of another flight to Hannover and 2 hours of train ride, I finally arrived at Maritim Hotel in Magdeburg with  hirohusky  drgnalexia and  silverfox5213. I was excited like a fans and extremely curious like a kitten since this is my first furry convention, and I don't know most of the furries (because most of them are from Germany, UK and other European countries). There's nothing much to do before the first day of EF, we just went for a dinner after wait for long queue of registration and I had first introduce with super friendly  karmakat and his wife  zura_rozier, we slept very early because of exhaustion...

29th Sep 2012 (Day 1) -->

This day is the first day of Eurofurence 18, but nothing was held yet until evening, so we had our breakfast in the lobby, and wait for opening ceremony. During this I finally met with  blue and  rangarig, although just a brief conversation. After attended the opening ceremony, I helped  silverfox5213 to suit up and walk around the lobby, where all the fursuiters gathered. Later that night we had dinner with  aphinity and  haix2a at House of Steaks Ortega. After that Silver and I went to the Artists' Lounge where everyone can draw and have do art trades, but it's too noisy and we decided to go back to our room and sleep...

30th Sep 2012 (Day 2) -->

After having breakfast, we went to the Art Show and Dealers' Den, but it was too crowdy that we forced to visit the next day. Later we attend the "Your First Furry Convention" hosted by Uncle Kage (Chairman of AnthroCon), Dhary Montecore and Gyroplast (Security Staffs) which they talked about things we need to know when attending our first furry convention. After that Silver went fursuiting and we waited at the Fursuit Lounge for the Fursuiter Group Photo, but I was chased out by security because I was carrying a camera, despite being Silver's assistant XD

After finished an animated feature, I was looking forward to involve another cartoon project. However, my leader told me tat I will move to a cutout animation project, which I have no experience at all...At first I was very frustrated and eventually broke down this few days 'cos I don't think tat can't handle the job very well...
