Posted 14 years agoI'm very slowly coming out of it.
Now I'm just trying to get all of my commissions organized, there are quite a few but I know several people changed their infos and when people do that, things always get confusing for me because I'm trying to decipher which one is the correct one and which one is the old one lol.
Gosh, I really should get a secretary to do this for me. xD <3
If anyone has good organization skills and is willing to help me out on this, leave me a comment or note or something. :3
And thank you all so much for being patient with me. Things are always crazy and hectic for me whenever I move to a new place. Posted 14 years agoAlright, so I've had a sudden change in plans. And unfortunately, I will be moving some time by the end of this month.
Which means, I may not have too much time for art until then. I have a lot of things that need to be packed and organized, and some issues that need to be dealt with. As you should know, it's stressful enough having to worry about the move without worrying about commissions.
I'll be moving from Minnesota to Wisconsin, because my situation here is far too hectic. And even though I love my roommates, and I love this down, and I love the friends I've made here, I just can't afford to stay.
So I greatly appreciate the patience, and I will keep you guys updated on anything that's going on, and I will try my best to get to work on commissions as soon as I can.Commissions ~ STILL OPEN!

Posted 14 years agoAlright, well.
I've been stressing out the past week or so about not being able to afford to pay my rent in December. And I'm still stressing out, because I have a mountain of art I need to do but it's just very difficult to concentrate on these kinds of things when I'm feeling like this.
All I ask is for a little bit of patience and understanding with the commissions, I know that you want your art, and you want it as fast as possible, but I'm in a tough spot right now.
I need to take more commissions so I don't get kicked out and deserted out here in the middle of Minnesota, but I'm having a hard time staying on track with my current overwhelming list of commissions.
I know I know, I shouldn't be taking so many commissions if I can't handle them, but what can I do?
I've been trying to find a job, but my resources are limited, I can't drive and when the snow falls, I can't ride my bike. And we live quite a ways from down town where all the jobs are located.
Because of the current situation, I might even have to move back to Wisconsin. But I really really don't want to have to do that, because I love this place, and I love the people I'm living with.Cheap Commissions ~ OPEN!

has just informed me that raffles are against FA's ToS. (Which is weird, because I see people do raffles all the time.)
So because of this I will still offer free bust sketches to those who did participate and I can offer refunds to those who want them.

Posted 14 years agoUnfortunately, I am in a bit of a rough spot money-wise and I haven't even got enough money to eat at the time being. So I will be taking on more commissions as I'm finishing my set from October (which I believe I have sketched them all out aside from the ref sheets or more complicated pictures.)
So I will be accepting more commissions!
These commissions are expected to be finished by the end of November / Early December. (unless stated otherwise.)

Rough Spot ~ Please Read
Posted 14 years agoSo I am going to try to get as many commissions done as fast I can, but while I do so, I will be needing to take some more commissions very soon.
Unfortunately, the management that handles the rent for my apartment has decided to shaft me on my rent payments and I'm needing to make some emergency funds if I don't want to starve. x__x;
So I would like to thank you guys very much for being patient with me, I really do appreciate it! :3 Your patience has not gone unnoticed, and for that I am thankful.
I hope to finish the majority of my current commissions during this week, and I will be opening for more commissions that will hopefully be able to be completed by the end of November/ Early December.

My girlfriend, mavu, came to visit for a week during Halloween and I didn't have any time to work on art.
But within the next week or so, I'll be knocking down a few commissions and get back to work!

1. Refund - If you would like a refund, feel free to ask at any time. It may take me a while to return your funds, but I will try my best to do it within a timely fashion.
2. Reposting - You may repost your own commission anywhere on FA as long as you link back to this gallery. Please do not repost outside of FA without my permission.
3. Updates - All commission updates will be made to my journal. Usually if things are moving slowly, there will be a journal explaining why that is. So please, check my journals before contacting me about your commission.
4. Changes - I only accept major changes while the commission is in sketch stage. After it has progressed onwards, I can only offer small changes. Please be aware of this when I show you the sketch for approval.
5. Commission Details - This is probably the most important policy. Please keep all details neatly organized in one Email. I offer commission forms, fill those out and email them to me. Double check the email, just to be sure you got all your details!
Also, an added note, I appreciate artist freedom among all things! Long-winded descriptions are a pain, so refrain from complicated and disorganized details!
6. Maximum Characters - The maximum amount of characters allowed in one image at the moment is 2. Please keep this in mind before commissioning me. Any commissions with more than 2 characters is much more difficult than usual, and I prefer to steer clear of these!

Posted 14 years agoUnfortunately guys, I've lost all of my old art files and WIPs.
So any commissions that were saved as WIPs have been lost (meaning all partially done Digital Paints are lost. I will have to start over from scratch.)
They were saved on my External Hard Drive, but I can't seem to recover them. A lot of things got screwed up before I reformatted my computer, and unfortunately so did my External.
I'm sorry guys. Digital Paints might take a little longer than expected, and I apologize for this. D:
At least this is your chance to change anything you didn't like about the older versions before I go ahead and start over again!

Safe to say, I've learned my lesson and will be backing up my art files as often as possible in the future.Officially Full-Time Artist!

I really want to improve! So I greatly appreciate any kind of critique on anything! Any suggestions or advice, perhaps on how to improve my artwork, or my communication skills.

I've calculated that I would need to complete at least 10-15 commissions a month to pay for rent. Though this mainly depends on what kind of art people commission from me.
I'd need to earn at least 420$ a month alone for rent. Which I've managed to do so far.Full-Time Artist ~ Opinions or Advice?
Posted 14 years agoI've decided I would like to become a full-time artist. I know that there would be quite a few things that would need to change before I could really do this.
I know that my style would need some minor adjustments, and of course, my attitude would be a major adjustment.
I know that sometimes I can be a little snippy with my commissioners, and I would like any kind of advice to handle these situations better.
