Posted 6 years agoI looked back at my past journals before making this one and I'm realizing that summers aren't too kind to me LMAO
IT'S ALWAYS JUNE & JULY THAT KICKS ME IN THE SHINS!!!
Anywho, I just wanted to be transparent with you guys for a little bit and let you all know what's going on with me.
Around April we started therapy. And at first it was going really well, I did felt better for awhile.
But then we had to start trauma therapy.
I've been breaking down a lot recently and while it's good that I'm finally processing my trauma, it does leave me very physically and emotionally drained.
My energy would only be enough for maybe a little bit of work at a time (not as much as I was used to doing..)
It probably doesn't seem like I slowed down in posting but I have been postponing my commission openings and being quiet in terms of the Telegram group and such.
I've been trying to power through it but it has been taking a toll especially as of late.
And I can't even enjoy the fact that something VERY GOOD is about to happen to us soon.
Because that good thing will require a bit more money at first and while we can handle it even on our budget now
it makes me feel awful that I'm feeling this way. Because it's like I can't work to provide for us....
I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm sorry for being a bit flaky and slow on art owed.
And I'm also sorry if I seemed stand offish or quiet.
I'm going to spend my time this late summer & autumn, catching up on the stuff I have right now.
And getting better

Hey everyone! Just wanted to update you all that some of my commission prices will be increasing this month!
By some I mean refs will most likely stay the same.
These increases shouldn't be too much (approx. 5-10?) and adjusting some of the extra prices just so it is more fair for me.
I'm just realizing that my prices are a bit, off to me according to how much time I put into commission @ - @

I mentioned in this post that we've been scrambling to find a place to live while Shishi exits the military.
But we found out that we don't have to move out at all! Just renew our lease and we're good to go!
It's kind of..funny??? Because we assumed we were going to be kicked out by this weekend and was cleaning out the house for inspection.
But then the inspection lady is all like "if yall want, yall can just stay here, house looks good btw"
....we spent about two weeks cleaning and packing the house.. (,,꒪꒫꒪,,)
It is a relief though to know that we're staying here since I actually really like our place.
SO everything right now should be fine! I'm going to play catch up this month and continue like normal~
Since reorganizing we even got better internet so I can maybe start streaming again!!
There's so many things I can now think about doing in the future since I know we're going to be fine.
I'm pretty relieved and happy right now, how about you all? ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿

Toyhouse/Telegram Group for Adopts?

So lately I've been tossing around the idea of creating a group for my adoptables?
Maybe have a website to list all the species and stuff I have and link to a toyhouse group & a telegram group?
This would really help me and everyone who is interested in my adopts and buying/trading would be a lot easier and less stress on me~
I could also maybe announce when adopts are going to be posted and stuff like that!
What do you guys think about this idea? Let me know!

Just wanted to let you guys know that I'll be out for about 2 weeks because I'll be at FWA!
And then afterwards I'll be making my way back to South Carolina to go home for the rest of April!
So just letting y'all know that I'll be pretty sparse here and a bit slow on commissions! But I plan on hopping back into work as soon as I get back home!

Hello everyone and happy New Years!
I hope the holidays and just 2017 treated everyone here well!
My holidays went very well but it really did end up taking more of my time than I expected..I apologize for not putting a hiatus update before but I really thought I'd be able to work during the holidays ;;
I decided on visiting my family for the holidays & brought my laptop to work but it has been fighting with me ever since I got here. My laptop is pretty old too so I think it's on it's last leg.
So lately anything you guys have seen me upload has either been stuff I've already completed or halfway done pieces that i had before I left! Hence me kinda only being able to upload & run haha
Unfortunately I might still be kinda out a bit since I recently got a procedure done that'll take me out for approximately a week? Hopefully you all understand and I feel so bad for not doing a update journal like this in the first place!!

Unfortunately, since like june/july I've been dealing with problems in terms of my adopts.
So in turn I BLOCKED people that have been treating me & my adopts terribly :/
And I thought that would be it, just let it be, but this month has just been kind of especially hard on me
LIKE....if I do NOT want to interact with you...please do NOT continue to contact me.
That's fucking disrespectful of my personal space. Like yes, online is a public place, but to go around & just be dishonest and forcing me to interact with you is kind of fucked up & shady!! It also kind of scares me! Like I already have social anxiety and to deal with this has been HELL
I don't care how small the issue is that I blocked for, if I choose that I do not want to interact or work with you, it is within MY RIGHT TO DO SO.
It's been really frustrating getting notes about this situation for the past couple of months and not getting a solution.
Like FA admins have been pretty much ignoring me about this. Even though this is a OBVIOUS RULE BREAKING.
it's exhausting that I'm afraid everything I post will somehow end up with the people on my blocklist and I can't really do anything.
I honestly do like to see my adopts go to good homes or something..and to see someone take advantage of them & my work is really disheartening. I thought blocking at least would solve SOMETHING.
I just want to be left alone and design @ - @

In my last journal about this I said I'll probably be doing auctions still, but after the frankencat auction ends, I will be stopping adopts altogether in the meantime.
THERE IS A SILVER LINING THOUGH!! I'm thinking of ways sell elsewhere because I just do not feel like FA has my back otherwise.
Hopefully this new way will help with the entire adopt process in general & just will be easier on me because I do love doing them so much and I don't want to take them away FOREVER for a few really rotten eggs.
I'm trying my best to be positive about this so hopefully that'll get me through!

In my last journal about this I said I'll probably be doing auctions still, but after the frankencat auction ends, I will be stopping adopts altogether in the meantime.
THERE IS A SILVER LINING THOUGH!! I'm thinking of ways sell elsewhere because I just do not feel like FA has my back otherwise.
Hopefully this new way will help with the entire adopt process in general & just will be easier on me because I do love doing them so much and I don't want to take them away FOREVER for a few really rotten eggs.
I'm trying my best to be positive about this so hopefully that'll get me through!

BUT I really appreciate when you guys take the time out of your days to favorite, watch, & comment on my artwork ;;

So along with florida, the surrounding places are expected to get SOMETHING (we don't know yet)
So me and bigbadshishi decided that we are just going to leave early anyway :Y
We don't think it'll hit our area too bad, but you never know. Better safe than sorry I suppose. I mean we're pretty close to shore!!
I might be a bit spotty on communication here and just generally gone for probably a week or so lol

Alright, when it comes to the adoptables I sell, I'd like to think I don't ask for much. In terms of money or the TOS.
I just require that you all DO NOT sell for more than you paid ME for the adopt.
NO YOU CAN NOT AUCTION ADOPTS YOU BOUGHT FROM ME. YOU CAN NOT CHARGE MORE THAN YOU PAID!! I DON'T CARE HOW MUCH A PERSON OFFERS
YOU MAY ONLY RESALE FOR MORE IF THE ADOPT HAS EXTRA ART.
Because one, it's not fair to me. I'M the one whose coming up with the designs and working hours just to be able to sell to you all and I'm the one making less money than the people just being a middle man pretty much? hmmm
And two! It's really not fair to the people who really just want a adopt from me! It's extremely unfair to take a adopt if you're just going to use it for profit for yourself. Like I REALLY hope you enjoy that money too! Because you're officially getting fucking BLOCKED if I see you doing this shit!
Like damn I aint asking for much here!! I'd like to think I'm not!
Adoptables are starting to be more trouble than it's worth at this point! No matter how fair I try to make it. I honestly REALLY like designing characters its fun and almost therapeutic for me. But when I start to post I get nervous to be honest because I'm like "oh no I wonder whose going to be mad" or something like that. Raffles were a mess to deal with personally and doing first come first serve always ended up like that lmao
Like its definitely fine to resale adopts, I don't mind when it comes to that if you're being honest about how much you paid.
Heck, I WANT you guys to resale if you aren't feeling the adopt anymore! And give someone else a chance with the character!
But doing stuff like this, purposely buying just to sell for more than you paid gotta stop.
SO! I'm just going to stop adopt batches for awhile :)
I'll do character auctions every now and then but besides that nah I'm good lol
I got other things I want to do like shleep

EDIT AGAIN; HEY UH GUYS it is not okay to harass people on my behalf? I didn't think I'd have to say that BUT HERE I AM. Please just if this happens in the future and you see it just notify me about the person and I'll deal with it. This was a PSA to past and future people who have done this to me & people who support me. And I am NOT taking the journal down because I want people to know this.
But please even if you think you know who it is they don't deserve that kind of treatment.
