Posted 10 years agoI sell jewelry at the mall now! My first real job! Maybe I can buy my own groceries now. ;u;
Also! Most of my little plants are alive! My pumpkin and sweet potato vine died, but I got 2 little middle-finger sized sweet potatoes from it. :3 They tasted good!
Struggling a little in college math, but I'm loving my Biology Human Values Class. We're going through the book "The Third Chimpanzee" by Jared Diamond. Pretty intense to keep up with, but it's great. :3
I'm also basically doing "Pay What You Want" Artwork for whatever you want. I like challenges and need some more stuff to keep me busy at night. ^u^

Gyah! I'm back!
Posted 10 years agoSorry I've been MIA these past two weeks! Got ready for school and school started! I'm now officially president of the art club in the college and lots of stuff has been going on, especially these last 3 days. I'll make a rant journal about how I'm losing my faith in humanity sometime soon, but for now I'll let you in on all the good!
I HAVE BIG PLANT BABIES! Okay, well my biggest one, the pumpkin, isn't even a foot long yet, but still! I must show you pictures (if anyone is actually interested). I'm happy with my classes! And my man has been the most supportive amazing mate I could ever dream of. I gave my first speech in Public Speaking today and got an A! :D And Human Values prof is kicking my soft butt into shape.
I still owe people art, I'm sorry! I've partly avoided the computer because I haven't been able to find my tablet pen for the past week. Please forgive me. ;n;
I hope everyone is doing well!

PLANT BABIES!
Posted 10 years agoSOMETHING SPROUTED! I'M SO EXCITED BUT I CANT TELL WHAT IT IS!
I woke up this morning and saw 2 green dots in one of the teacups where I planted something! Now I count 5! They're growing fast! I just wish I could remember what I planted there. ;u;
And My new roommates get here tomorrow. I wrote a whole bunch of rules and plastered them around the apartment since I'll be away tonight with Man. If I don't get back tomorrow before they do then my words will have already been said for the most part. XD My apartment is so clean!

Posted 10 years agoI'm home now. Went with my roommate to her hair stylist to offer support while she got her highlights. They look so good! I'm a little jelly. I 've never dyed my hair before, but maybe I'll do it. I need to get a haircut before school starts next week but it'll probably have to wait.
My foot feels a lot better. Unless it's a spider or ant bite, I seem to heal really quickly. I'm glad for that- now I'm back to my silly antics in the apartment~
Maintenance guys came over today to change some inspect some stuff in the apartment and one of them has the face of a gladiator. I wish I could touch it. Just once. JUST. ONCE. Every time I see his chiseled face I'm suspicious enough to wonder if it's real.
I'm still hoping to see some sprouting in my garden. I imagine it's like waiting to know if the baby's a boy or girl...because I forgot where I planted what. ;u;)
I should have labelled my little containers.
I decorated the living room with mardi gras beads and my roommate was surprised by how not-tacky it was! All my hard work gets to stay up!
It's also been super cloudy and rainy with scattered storms all day. After my roommate got her hair done, we went to a local Italian restaurant and I nearly peed myself when lightning hit right down the street. We were outside and it was super loud flashy and scary. ;n;)
I also can't forgive myself for the whole calzone I ate.
Now I'm working on stuff for and and .
And now I excitedly wait for Man to get home.

On another note, my foot hurts mush less today. I may go to the pool with my roommate.
Also waiting for my seeds to germinate, I'm so excited! It feels weird to get excited over plants, but I want to grow something! I want to put something on my plate and taste it and think to myself "I made this happen! I made a plant baby!". XD
Man and I had fun watching old comedy movies and anime last night. I had to show him Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. He now claims he knows where I get my anti-joke humor from. He showed me a black and white film, Young Frankenstein by Mel Brooks. It was definitely old-time humor. XD But I did crack up a few times. Then we chilled and watched Akame Ga Kill. It's pretty okay as far as new anime go. I'd recommend it if you'd got free time.
I'm almost out of tea! D:

Chocolate Coated Pretzels are Good!
Posted 10 years agoWhite fudge + Pretzel = Holiness.
So I stubbed my foot on a broken piece of metal yesterday and profusely bled for a few minutes. Man and I were going to go to Home Depot to get some soil and pots for the garden today, but I'm not too keen on limping around so we're putting it off until i can walk well. In the meantime I'm using ceramic bowls from the kitchen to start planting since it's already pretty late in the season.
I also noticed wasps coming back to try and claim the balcony. It's been a few months since I used wasp killer on the nests they started building in the upper corners, but I'm wondering if they could possibly pollinate my plants once they start growing- does anyone know if wasps do that?
So the tiny demons get to live for now.
Started talking to one of my new roommates via text last night. She seems pretty nice.
Maybe I'll adopt a cat.
I'm bored at home and open for simple requests! Just comment here and I'll note you!

On another note, I'm getting two new roommates on the 19th! Wowee, I hope they're good people. My current roommate and I recently painted the living room walls and set out some nice frames.
I'm also starting a garden on my third floor balcony with my man. Bought a bunch of clearance seeds from a local plant nursery that should be 80% viable. Maybe in a few months I'll have some cilantro, sugar peas, squash, and chives! If anyone has some pointers on how to grow a potted garden, I'm all ears. I'm new to it and just hope I have enough sun at this point. It's been raining almost every day. ;u;

Summer Is Almost Over!
Posted 10 years agoI'm getting ready for school!
Hope everyone's had a wonderful Summer! For once I'm glad to say I've had a lot to do! I got to see my family and go to Disney World, I went with my mom to New Orleans, and helped friends out!
Now I'm back to my apartment, cleaning out the old and bringing in the new for a fresh start to the school year. The only thing I'm missing now is a reliable job. Also have to finish the Mexican restaurant hop with my mate. We plan to try every burrito stand in the city before Summer is over!
