General | Posted 16 years agoChristopher Walken, furry?
General | Posted 16 years agoI mentioned this a while back over on LJ, but if you've not seen it before, it's worth checking out. Here's Christopher Walken on Conan, in September 2006, talking just as a furry might, lamenting the lack of tails on humans, and how much expressivity they'd bring us. ^_^

Time machine
General | Posted 18 years agoIf you were given access to a time machine, when would you go, and why?
One thing I think I'd enjoy is heading back to investigate the early days of the world's religions - does the appearance of flooding myths in various religions speak of a genuine event, or was it merely a parable? Were these accounts independent, or do they have their origins in the same writer?
Seeing the real Buddha, Jesus, Mohammad, and Lao-Tsu might be quite interesting, as well. (I subscribe to no religion or gods, but the evolution of religions through time, as they spread from their origins, sometimes being co-opted by others, or serving as inspiration for newer civilisations, as with the Egyptian pantheon inspiring that of Ancient Greece, and then, more directly, Rome)

Flickr into life
General | Posted 18 years agoWell, it only took me eleven months to get around to it, but I've finally started using my Flickr account:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/porsupah/
(Slightly annoying the way they limit free accounts - only three sets permitted? :-P I'll have to rethink which ones I'm likely to use.. Travel, Furry, and Second Life, maybe. Still, it's a pretty good deal for free)

A flickering of journalism
General | Posted 18 years ago[A] - Available?
mm.. I suppose so. One fur has my heart, but that's as far as it goes.
- birthday?
nope. =:)
[C] - crushing?
very, very rarely.
[D] - drink you had last ?
Балтика
[E] - easiest person to talk to?
Not something I can answer in public, but that comes to maybe around four or five people in all.
[F] - fav. color(s)?
But there are so many to choose from! White, blue so deep it's falling off the spectrum, hot pink..
[G] - gummy bears or gummy worms?
Pepper and black truffle parfait. Nyah. ^_^
[H] - hometown?
Hey, over there! It's Elvis!
- ill?
Almost never.
[J] - juggle?
Nope. Not really something that appeals to me, but the video for Fatboy Slim's "That Old Pair of Jeans" was damn neat.
[K] - killed someone?
WTF?
[L] - longest car ride?
Depends.. in one go, not counting brief stops, about eleven hours. Allowing overnight stops, probably either four days or five weeks.
[M] - milkshake flavor?
Banananana!
[N] -number of sibilings?
Could be 1, 4, 7, or 9, depending on definition. It's been a weird family. ^_^;
[O] - one wish?
One person in particular to say "I love you".
[P] - person you called last?
No idea. I don't use phones more than a couple times a year.
[Q] - queer?
If you don't know the answer to that, you've really not been paying attention. ^_^
[R] - reasons to smile?
That I have some absolutely wonderful friends, from furrydom, and from previous jobs.
- song you last heard?
Banco de Gaia - We All Know the Truth
[T] - time you woke up this morning?
What is this "morning" thing of which you speak?
- underwear?
Nope. ^_^
[V] - vegetarian?
I appreciate the arguments for it, certainly. But, no.
[W] - worst habit?
Procrastination.
[X] - xrays you had?
One. (Hint: if you get a fracture, try not to let a nerve get trapped there)
[Y] - your number of friends on myspace?
I probably know some people who have a presence there, but I've no interest in being there myself.
[Z] - zodiac sign?
On the cusp of Scorpio and Sagittarius, so I've never been quite sure which. Not that it has any validity at all, but the mythology behind it all is interesting.

I've finally been able to treat myself to ordering an Intuos3 tablet, so maybe I'll actually have some new work to show off in the coming weeks. ^_^
