Keep an eye out for further updates in the coming week from me because these might open up quicker than before. I'll still be starting on these on Saturday, but I got so many notes as it is.

SCU Fan Art Drive - 2 WEEKS LEFT +Important Notice
Posted 10 years agoHey everybody! I'm just in here with a reminder that the SCU Fan Art Drive is still going on for two more weeks and so far there have been ZERO entries!!! D:
Raphael is understandably discouraged about it and he will be withdrawing the cash prices if there aren't at least 3 entries for there to be at least some kind of competition, so if you plan to participate be sure to let us know and see if you can get your friends in on this too lol It's no fun to just let this chance to win some moneys doing fan art go by!
Hope any of you guys plan to participate and can make the deadline!
Here's the original post about the rules and such:
Raphael is hosting an SCU Fan Art Drive and has asked me to advertise it on here, I thought it sounds like a fun idea and I'll also be helping him with the judging once the deadline is up!
Just to let everyone know, he will be including all art submissions from both Deviantart and Furaffinity watchers.
Submission dead line closes on 12/31/15 at midnight CST. If you have an art piece you would like to submit, just send him a note with it included. If your art piece was done by someone else, make sure you state that that so as to give credit where it's due. I will also be posting all art submissions on this journal as I receive them.
I hope everyone has fun and who knows? Maybe something YOU submit might be possibly featured in a future SCU project?
Contest rules:
· Art drive starts 11/23/15 and ends on 12/31/15 at midnight. I will be announcing the winners afterwards.
· First place wins $75 and second place wins $50.
· Only one art piece per person.

Anthrosaurs: The SCU Gang Q&A Session!

I'm sure most of you are familiar with the SCU Gang comics I've posted here over the years and raphael (The creator/writer of the comic) and I thought it would be fun to host a Q&A session with the main characters of the comic: Mark, Amber, Matilda and Andy!
You can check out their character profiles here if you wanna catch up with them
raphael will be answering all the questions in-character to the best of his abilities but he just asks that you guys try to not get too ridiculous with the questions lol
So, go ahead and ask!!

Posted 11 years agoHey all! By now, I'm sure you folks have heard of Patreon, a site where creators can continue to share their work and for fans to continue to support them!
So Patreon has become a thing it actually opened up things for me from a creator standpoint. I really want to do more with my own properties, such as Hotshot Hunters, STING and the Anthrosaurs Project). And I do want to continue working on my comics in my spare time, but I just can't as that time has to go towards freelance work and commission work to keep the bread on the table.
So that's where Patreon comes in! If I reach my first goal, I can actually get back to working on Hotshot Hunters in a webcomic form! I can do a page a week (or 2 pgs a week at times, depending on my schedule). This also means that only the folks who support the webcomic will have exclusivity; only they will be able to read the comic in its entirety before anyone else does. And all I'm asking for in return is $1 per Month to join in the fun. And if you want some more good stuff, $5 a Month to see high-resolution versions of the sketches, layout, inks, and extra things like concept art and such. It's sort of a no-brainer.
And for only $10 per Month you can get all of the above plus entrance into a "Monthly Commission Pool" in which patrons cast their ideas for a commission into the pool, and then each month I pick one at random and draw it!
I can't do this for free. It's just not happening with today's economy. But I really would like to get back to HSH so bad, and I've felt my work/content has become stale since I don't have much to show besides random fanart and commissions.
So you can check out my Patreon page to go pitch in and help me finally make this another thing!
