This happens with regularity, it seems. I guess the bill isn't being paid in a timely fashion. I wonder how long it will be unavailable this time.

It seems to be down for good this time. It was an interesting place to visit one upon a time with its heavy moderation and willingness to accommodate artists with a Do Not Post list but it clearly lost relevance in the last few years. I contributed to the /ah/ board on and off for some years, and the art I posted there took off on it's own, re-posted to e621 and various other chans and boorus to this day, so I owe it something for getting my art known once I dared to share any of it.

Every couple of weeks I'll log in to FA and do a keyword search on "gore", uploaded by date, seeking any depictions of gutting, disembowelment and evisceration that have both a certain proficiency of anatomical detail and a certain spirit of horror, and add the ones that meet those criteria to my favorites gallery. I'm pretty picky about that, and find only a few that meet my satisfaction.

The Goretober thing tends to flood the uploads that come up with that keyword search with a much higher ratio of images to skip over than to add to favorites. I wish it hadn't become a thing, candy gore, other flavors of gore drawn by people who might otherwise not even care to draw gore were it not Goretober and feel the need to add to the theme. I'll be happier when it passes.

Besides me, of course. (Too bad I rarely come up with new things. I am open to commissions, gore fans.) I have a watch list of artists that presented something in the right spirit or with enough detail to get me interested, and passed on others who haven't struck me with quite the right spirit or attention to detail.
