Still around
Posted 7 years agoFigured I'd give a sign of life. Last two years have been pretty busy working on my house but that has finally paid off. I moved in 3 weeks ago. The down side is, I hurt my knee moving in, so had to take a break from moving or working on the house, and even took a break from work to let my knee heal. Lukas moved in with me and his allergies are doing better but no improvement for him otherwise. The cats love the new house too and i'm loving the new utility bills. Just feels a bit empty. Still don't have any new furniture just what we have moved from the old house, and still have some more to move, but still leaves my bed feeling empty with no mate. Job hasn't changed but I have a new truck about to come out of the shop and get ready to start using it.
Still around, not much has changed, just another year single
Posted 10 years agoWell, year got off to an interesting start, leading up to surgery but nothing much has happened since.
Works been busy but that means good money, and got picked for a panel of the best of the company so feel kinda honored even if it is more work.
Still have pras hanging around but he keeps to himself. No luck finding a mate or even a date this year, and I have been looking.. Had interest in one guy, but he screwed that up.. and don't even care that he went back to his ex with all the drama, i'm done with him.
The only big change his year, finding an offroad club, and putting more money into my FJ Cruiser. Been fairly active with them, and my FJ is becoming more of the beast I want it to be. Though this week, had an un-expected expense of a new alternator and battery, but I was able to take that expense. Also given it a lighting package, new shocks, and a 2" lift this year, and a few accessories. It has already come to stand out, and not just look like another stock SUV on the road.
In the year ahead, not so certain on Furry Fiesta, but definitely will try to be at wild nights. I may try for Rocky Mountain Fur con. Outside the fandom, trying to snag a ticket for the FJ Summit, and will probably make the Texas Toyota Summit. Nothing is set in stone yet.

Recovering at home, Surgery went well
Posted 10 years agoSurgery went as planned, was less then an hour. Feel like I got hit in the gut by a car but that will get better.
I took just over a week off work to recover, per doctor's orders, and won't be doing much or going out the first few days but later in the week, I'll get to moving around more and getting out some.

Surgery pending. Not gonna make wildnights
Posted 10 years agoAs much as I wanted to make wild nights, I won't be able to be there. Need the vacation (and more) set aside for that to recover.
Instead, i'll be working that weekend and two days after, on April 30th will be going in for surgery.
The surgery should be short and I should be out of the hospital the same day, minus a faulty gall bladder full of gall stones.. but should end the occasional pain and frequent digestive discomfort I currently am dealing with.
Unfortunately, this has delayed the remodel and may kill any con attempts this year.
Edit: For clarification, it's gallbladder surgery for gall stones. It is not slowing me from work as long as I really watch what I eat.I was messed up the day of my first (and hopefully last) gall stone attach that put me in the ER but I have been doing well since.

Still hanging around.. and no birthday plans
Posted 11 years agoYeah.. I'm still here.. still single and looking.. and still working my ass off in the real world. Not much has changed in the last year. Still find myself depressingly single (and yes I am looking >.<) and that is getting me more depressed in the fact, friday I turn 30.. but more so, I'm months away from buying and remodeling a house. As much as I look forward to having a house of my own.. I feel alone going into it.. I know I have my room mate pras, but he isn't much more then that, my room mate.. not my mate.. and making my own home is something I really want to share with someone who will enjoy it with me for a long time.. So many I know have mates.. feel like i'm one of the only ones who can't seem to find a boyfriend.. hell.. hardly seem to hang out with anyone as it is.
As for birthday plans well I was trying to get a group to hang out at Logan's road house some time this weekend, before watching the first two Hobbit movies at my place this weekend (the 13th or 14th) but at this point don't even know if that will happen. For those going to the Christmas party, have fun, I will not go there. Don't even invite me.
Figured I'd give an update.. so to sum it up.. still here.. still single.. no changes this year..

Also, on 7/8/2004, I created ProGen on Furcadia, a green and blue tiger, and about a week later created a deviantart account. Hard to believe it has been 10 years since I found my way into this kinky little corner of the web. Followed some art, stumbled into a rabbit hole, and loved what I found.
I may not have a mate, I may not get to hang out with friends as often as I like, but I have enjoyed my time and the few friends I have made in the fandom. I have a few nest mates that I am very close to, both current and past and I am grateful for getting to know them.

My 28th 12/12, and it is 12/12/12
Posted 13 years ago28 years ago today, I took my first breaths. Now I an adult. Work has consumed most of my time and my life, but it is the start of a career I ventured in to a year and a half ago and I don't regret it. Still single, just have Pras as my house pet, but no boyfriend to cuddle with tonight. A few months ago, I traded in my old 4runner. I was a good SUV for years but had become run down, so I traded up for a Toyota FJ.
In other news, I have moved away from Second Life. It consumed much of my time and money in the past but felt I was no longer getting the pleasure I used to out of it and i was no longer worth my time. Now that time may get put to better use, and put the money toward my debt.
Winter has finally arrived and with vengeance. I took the week off for work, and Monday, I got called in to work because 8 of the sites we service had frozen.

New wheels and still alive and single
Posted 13 years agoFigured I'd throw out an update. Still running around, mostly work and hardly no social life. Still have Pras as my house pet, and still working full time.
Still have pras around as my house pet. he's still working part time at the photo lab at Walgreens. I'm still working full time at MarkVII equipment fixing car washes. Still looking for a boyfriend.. can't even say i've had a date in the last year.
My old '99 toyota 4runner had some major issues. I may have been able to fix it but didn't want to. I traded it in for a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. 4x4 with full off road package. Voodoo blue and fully loaded for an '07. Only took me two days after I bought it before i did some body damage off-roading. the secondary skid plate, which was intended more for protection against rocks and branches, got bent up in some really deep mud. I am looking for some buddies to go off-roading with semi-regularly.
No cons planned at this point, but my budget and plans are changing quite a bit not that I have a reliable vehicle, but also have a vehicle loan. At least I have vacation time I can use

been some time
Posted 13 years agoBeen awhile since I said anything, so figured I'd let you know I'm still here. Work has been busy but still have some time. Never have anyone to hang out with it seems, just me and pras.
I am free most evenings and every other weekend.. no mate either..looking for a local boyfriend. really wish I could have planned better to hit furry fiesta but oh well.
So any Oklahoma furs, if you want to hang out, say something.

In Lubbock for a week
Posted 14 years agoWell, I arrived safely in Lubbock today. I'll be here till the 10th. If you or anyone you know is in Lubbock, let me know.. Would be nice to do more then work and sit around in this hotel room.
Attention North Texas furs, Taking a trip to Lubbock
Posted 14 years agoI am taking a trip to lubbock, though not for pleasure. Work is sending me to Lubbock for nearly two weeks to cover for the tech in that area. I will have plenty of free time. So anyone in or near Lubbock, if you want to hang out or know of anything going on, let me know.
Also, if anyone knows any furs in Lubbock, let me know. I am hoping to either have a new laptop or hope this one lasts.. but if not, I may be on my smart phones only for the trip as this laptop is on it's last leg.

Visiting lubbock and work update
Posted 14 years agoMy new job is going great. Had my company truck for a few weeks, and I'm enjoying the work. Besides some mistakes on my time sheet, which I'm still trying to figure out what they want, they seem to like my work as well. So much so, they company is sending me to Lubbock, Texas, for the 10th, 11th, and 12th, to cover for the tech down there. For the most part, all expenses paid. They cover all the gas, like every day for the truck, I even get paid for the time driving to and from. Company will pay for the hotel, and reimburse my food expenses, so as long as it isn't busy, it will be a nice, paid trip.
So anyone watching me in the Lubbock area, Give me a shout.

I may have a job
Posted 14 years agoI am so excited, I just had to share it. Today, my instructor gave me contact information for a company looking for technicians.. Not 4 hours after that, I had a first interview with the guy that may be my supervisor. I now have a second interview scheduled for Thursday afternoon with the regional manager who is calling it a formality and paperwork. So in a week or two, I may be a repair technician for MarkVII servicing car wash systems all over the state with a company truck and company cellphone. It is a technical job, in a specialty field, but not as an electrician. The work sounds fun and I am going to give it a try. I will give another update if I do officaly have the job.
Time for great changes
Posted 15 years agoFigured I'd give an update so anyone who cares knows I'm still alive. On one front, I'm doing quite well. Getting ready to move into a house, though first gotta get it fixed up. On the downside, I'm looking for a new job. Sick and tired of the job I have, both because of the economy being down, tips are not good, and just bad management, and bad employees. I'm ready for change, and seeking it out. I want a new job.
Pras has been living with me for over a year. Tends to be quite lazy but gets the chores done before getting spanked, normally. Pras is looking for a new job as well, and looking forward to the move, and getting away from allergens causing problems.
At this point, cons are out of the question. My income is barely paying the bills, so there is no way I can currently afford any cons, despite the fact I really want to go. Art isn't happening either. Still around SL when I'm free for those who care.

Another year gone by... well, in a few more weeks..
Posted 16 years agoAnother year gone by, and I'm still doing the same thing. I've enjoyed having Pras live with me, and won't be long till he will ah been here for a year. School is still going well at Metrotech and I will soon be looking for a job as an Electricians apprentice. I am hoping to stay with the pedicabs for some time, but I am getting quite tired of some of the BS I put up with... friggen wanna be bureaucrats who don't put in the time.. working with bureaucrats who want to cut down a whole forest for papers just so you can get one check.. tired of taking two weeks to make a purchase.. and another two weeks waiting to get a check back..
On an up note, My birthday, is as always, December 12th. I will be 25, and legally independent in all regards.. The downside to that is I am being dropped off my mother's health insurance... but they haven't been a help since march when they started giving me the run around and not filling prescriptions.
Birthday and Christmas wish list:
1: LCDTV.
2: PS3.
3: New tires for my truck.
4: Blueray drive for my computer (I can't use my blue ray copy of Star Trek >.<)
and the one from here,
5: Artwork, would love a piece of Pras and myself snuggling, or just a new piece of myself.

I'm still alive
Posted 16 years agoAnd the cake is a lie..
Old but true. Loved that game.
Anyways, back to reality. Yes, I am still alive and well down here in Oklahoma. Praskovya, my pet on SL and now Real life moved down a few months ago, and things have gone well since, besides a few illnesses and not as much luck with a job as we where hoping. I am posting this after packing for my only vacation this year unless things pick up, and that is going to get Pras's car from his family in Michigan. We will be gone from July 28th to August 6th.
If football season picks up well, and I can catch up on other expenses, We will hopefully make it to Midwest Furfest in Chicago. I will be able to take the weekend off this year, just a matter of money and school.
School is going extremely well. I love the electrical technology program at Metrotech. I have fun in class and I'm making a lot of progress, even got a 4.0 for last semester. Next summer I am hoping to start a full time job.
I am still riding a pedicab.. but just like most places, with the economy, the tips have been low and business slow so i've dropped down to about half the income I had when I started in 2006... with any luck the trend for football games will prevail and I will make even more this football season, and then basketball season should do well as well. Once Pras has his car down here, he should be able to start working a steady job farther from my apartment, and we may find a new place as my landlord has started to charge me rent and I'm covering the water bill, so now in the summer time it isn't worth living here anymore.
Keep up the great artwork, and with any luck might get some soon.

Happy Birthday to... Me..
Posted 18 years agoWell, another year has gone by. No too spectacular but not too bad either.
I'm not a year older.. one year down on my auto loan but another year of student loans added on. And looks like a few turbulent months to come but hopefully will become easier after that.

Three weeks to MFF
Posted 18 years agoJust figured I'd see, to those of you who will be at Midwest Furfest, hope to see you there. I'll be buying a bus ticket this week since it seems like either no one else from the state is going or they are just to clueless to make good plans and will be on their own.
Now just to save up enough from work to cover the bus ticket, hotel room, and food, as well as my bills.. with any luck have some money to spare for art and such O.O Now to just find a place to park my car near the bus station I'll be leaving from since I can't get back home in time to catch the bus there. >.<
