We had one month to enter this contest, and it seemed only 7 or so people were interested, and 4 people entered....
I'm just very disappointed here..

General | Posted 14 years agoLast contest: Tools of the trade. Is canceled for now: maniacwulf showed intrest in it, and so kind of by default will be given the spot in our gallery... Once he finishes the picture.
Now this new one will go on till February 15th.

This time its tools of our trade. As a guardian we all have our trade tool. Its always amazing when we can protect another with just the sound of our voice, but that sometimes isn't enough. And so for that we are going to ask that you show off what you use as your tool of the trade.
Examples of pictures we want to enter are:
Scars Tools of Choice.
The premise of this contest is NOT the use of your tools but the showing off of your tools. Now remember these can be blades, guns, hammers, and other types of weapons.
NOW This isn't the showing off of your battle outfits.... I'm going to hold that contest soon. THis is just for the weapons and your character together.
Entries are the same as last time:
Simply post a LIMIT of up to 3 images.
And our last 3 winners can't enter this time:

General | Posted 14 years agoGood day everyone. I want to share a personal story with you all since its pretty close to the date.
On January 7th of 2007 my son was born early in the morning. For the first year of his life he was under heavy watch of the local DFS, and county protective services. Cause my family was not normal. his mother was married to another man, and I lived with them. [if you want to know the story not me, and I'll give you a link.] To this small town this was very backwards, and wrong. So I had to always watch for my son, the house, and family.
Near the start of 2008 things begin to go sour with the relationships, and it effected my son. I was working full time, and was also watching him, and his sister as soon as I got off work. I woke up and feed them both, took them to day care, and went to work. To get off, and pick them up, feed them, bath them. etc...
Well on July 18th of 08 I decided I had enough, and was taking my son way from there. Things... Went bad. Fights broke out, and police were called.... That was basically the last day I saw my son.
I made the tough choice of giving up my own son, because he needed to be protected from his mother. He needed what was right for him.... A parent must think of what is the most improtant thing for a child... If it hurts you the most.... its still whats right.
Remember no matter what you must protect the ones you care for the most. Even if its the most painful thing for you.
I know this.. seems like a odd thing to put this here. But I want everyone know that sometimes being one who protects another is a physical attack, or a fight. But sometimes it comes in other ways.
Also A Older Guardian image has been updated so you'll need to f5 it.
After the 7th... I'll post the image winner of our last contest. And I'll be announcing our newest one.

Due this is a actual picture of someone protecting another. This is what we are going to be looking for in our group pictures from here on out please. So here is a better journal:
As the lack of any updating to Art here on Protective Furs, we are holding a contest to feature your character here on our pages.
What this contest will be is that everyone who wants will post 3 images here on this page. Labeled: Image 1, 2, 3 with links to YOUR chacater. After we have figured there is enought images we will open voting. The top 3 votes will be featured here.
Also scarskitsune and Arygwen will pick one we like the most out of them. And they will be added. Once a month we will hold this contest. Winners From the past 3 months can't enter, but are welcome to vote. After 3 months your welcome to join in once again.
Basic rules:
Nothing Pornographic.
Nothing that can be considered Adult or Mature [for our younger viewers]
MUST be your chacater. Can be artwork by others, but must be your character.
As said: Winnners will be featured, but can't rejoin for 3 months.
Must be somehow showing that your a Guardian or protecting others.
Now I know that some of you think you don't have a amazing art style or feel your art isn't that great, but I promise you here... That I will once a week pick one picture.
