Posted 11 months agoUPDATE:
Winners were announced: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0j0.....orldofMONSTERS

Websites back up on new Host
Posted a year agoJust an FYI that both my vore.net and gapingmaws.com websites are back up and running on a new Host.
(NOTE: You may need to refresh your browser cache with CTRL-F5 if you are still seeing an account suspended message.)
It was time to leave the old Host service.
Having never received any response from their support team, it was obvious they don't want my business, despite having been subscribed to their highest, Premium service.
If anyone who reads this ever desires to create their own web page, I recommend avoiding websupport.se as the host at all cost.
It was not my choice to have been on them, but my previous host service, servage.net, had some type of merger with them, and I was forced into websupport.se's service.
18 1/2 years of good will and high satisfaction, all destroyed in 2 short weeks, because nobody there could take 2 minutes to email me that they were at least looking into the problem.
Let this be a reminder to everyone who performs some type of service for another, that Customer Service is still the most important aspect of doing business.

vore.net website is not suspended
Posted a year agoTo anyone who has tried to hit my vore.net or gapingmaws.com websites over the past few days, the account is not suspended.
This is an issue with the host provider, who was performing server migrations and messed things up, without a proper roll-back plan if things went wrong.
So, they now have dozens of customers who are without their website, some of which are going on 2 weeks (based on the negative feedback I've read online).
Although the message is signed as 'servage', they are no longer the host company. They have partnered up with websupport.se, who is responsible for messing everything up.
To say the least, I am not happy about this. I had been with servage.com for 18 1/2 years without any problems, and within 2 months of partnering with websupport.se, everything went to crap.
Not to mention that there was no warning that this might happen, nor any type of notification to their customers once the problems started.
They have not even replied to any emails to their support account to explain what has happened, nor as to why the message they put up on everyone's websites makes it sound like it is the website owner who is at fault. They have also disabled their phone support and live chat support, presumably to focus on getting things working; but more likely to not have to deal with angry customers.
I had hoped that things would have been resolved by now, but there is still no word from them regarding this situation, so I am in the process of looking for another hosting company.

Godzilla Stomps
Posted 2 years agoI know others here enjoy seeing giant monsters stomping civilians, and it seems as if we'll actually get a bit of that in Toho's upcoming Godzilla Minus One movie.
Check out the 34 second mark of the new trailer that just dropped today.
I'm really excited about this movie, as it looks like it's going to bring Godzilla back to his roots as a true monster.
Although I enjoy some of Legendary's Monsterverse movies, they really can't compare to the way Japan does Godzilla.

More Vore Clips Uploaded to Website
Posted 3 years agoHey everyone,
Just a little update that since my last journal, 4 months ago, I've uploaded another 400 clips to my Vore Videos website:
http://vore.net/rodent/videos/
While I try to include a little of everything, from Live Action to Animated, and Movies to Television, a lot of these recent uploads have mostly been Live Action Movies, with the bulk of those being from Chinese movies released over the past few years.
Also note that a lot of the scenes have off-screen or hard vore, which are flagged beneath each video.
I really wish these studios would learn that when we see giant snakes, dragons, dinosaurs, etc... we want to see people get eaten on screen.
Anyway, enjoy the latest updates and hopefully there's some stuff there for everyone to enjoy.

Breaking the 1000 vore clips barrier
Posted 3 years agoHello to everyone who loves vore clips from RL documentaries, or live action and animated TV Shows and Movies.
Since the start of this year, I've been working on updating all of my old MPG video files into MP4 format (which will now allow direct streaming on the web page), and revamping my Vore Videos page to include these files, as well as make it easier for me to do updates.
Not only am I going with the new format, but I am also up-scaling them from the old 320x240 file size, to 640x480 (which is the resolution of the old VHS tapes these were all captured on, 15+ years ago).
Most of the updates have been completed, so I have started adding new (old) clips from the huge backlog I had never gotten to.
I have 19 VHS tapes at 2 hours each of vore video clips I had captured from TV, yet I had only gotten up to tape 12 in the past. So, I still have a lot to add.
These are being added to the "New Clips" tab on my video page, with the latest additions bringing me up to 1012 clips; breaking the 1000 mark.
While most of these new additions are clips from my old VHS tapes, there are also some brand new clips sprinkled in (like an awesome blob-like creature in the 2020 Chinese movie, "Alien Invasion".
Anyway, enjoy the Updates and I hope to keep adding more on a fairly regular basis.
Rodent's Vore Video Page
PS: I know most people would prefer I put these on Youtube, but I personally want to have total control over what I upload and share, without the need to worry about removals and strikes (which has happened to me in the past).
I love that there are people uploading such material to Youtube and I follow a number of them myself, but it's simply not for me.

Posted 4 years agoThe new Snake Eyes movie has a nice, surprise vore scene in it, involving a giant snake.
The initial strike is quick, but what follows that is really nice.
My thanks to
Achilles4 for letting me know about this scene.
*** Spoiler Alert ***
This occurs toward the end of the movie, so if you intend to see the movie, you may not want watch this clip until after you have done so.

Suicide Squad - King Shark Vore
Posted 4 years agoHappy Vore Day, everyone.
The new Suicide Squad movie is great (in my opinion), and of course it's made even better by having a vore scene in it.
This isn't really a spoiler to the movie, since the trailer hinted at it by showing the start of scene, but if you intend to see the movie and don't want to see anything beyond what the trailer showed, then you may want to skip this clip.
But I do love the way they treated King Shark in this movie and it was wonderful to see him get some nom-noms.
(I do not post to youtube, so you'll have to use the link)

Yum Chat will not be closing down
Posted 4 years agoHello everyone,
For those who may not know, I have been running the Yum Chat vore chat room for 20 years, and was planning on closing it down.
However, the wonderful lion, Malken, will be taking over as the new owner.
Malken has been a member of Yum Chat since the day it opened, and I trust him to keep it running in the same friendly and welcoming manner which it has always been run.
I want to thank everyone who has used the chat room over the last 20 years for all of the fun times I had and all of the friends I had made.
Yum Chat started at a time when the vore community was shunned by everyone, including the majority of the furry community.
It was such a pleasure to have a place which allowed us to gather without the hatred and drama being cast upon those of us in the vore community.
While I still see vore being looked at negatively by a lot of people, it is nowhere near where it was at the turn of the century and it delights me to see how much progress has been made over the past two decades. I have seen so many people grow up over these years, and hope that Yum Chat has helped in some way by being accepting and welcoming to everyone, at a time when they felt nervous and shy online.
Thank you all once again for bringing me friendship and joy over these past 20 years, and while I will no longer be running Yum Chat, I will still be around and hope to continue making new friends over the years to come.

Writers Digest - 25 ways to start a story
Posted 5 years agoAn interesting article from Writer's Digest on helping writers get a jumping off point to start their stories from:
https://www.writersdigest.com/be-in.....WiT4UejeWOY8VNKLUuGVqd9VN9qGxUceppmc_wBkaA7QPp9bLQNtl0veotwjE7LnOpU3VGy_NkyUcUXYSTYg&utm_content=90343905&utm_source=hs_email
I'm sure all of these can be used for fun vore stories as well. ^_^
I guess the main point is to think of a 1-line sentence that has some mystery and intrigue built into it, to make your readers want to see what happens next.
25 Ways to Start a Story
1. Man is running from someone or something in the moonlight.
2. Woman is searching for someone or something in a thick fog.
3. A loud noise startles a person awake.
4. Narrator confesses something outrageous.
5. An unmarked package is left on someone's porch.
6. Two lovers explore an abandoned island.
7. A woman wakes up in a ditch.
8. Children playing at a park make a grisly discovery.
9. A person observes a car go off the road.
10. Someone hears a faint noise and—against their better judgment—goes to investigate.
11. A man hangs off a rooftop several stories in the air.
12. Narrator reveals a long hidden regret.
13. An elderly woman finds a letter she'd forgotten she had.
14. A child accepts a dare.
15. Two people searching for a geocache find something they never expected.
16. A student notices something in the hallway that everyone else fails to see.
17. Someone fishing alone sees something no one is likely to believe.
18. Narrator reveals his or her greatest fear.
19. An elderly man goes into the attic to make sure something he hid is still there.
20. Two people meet at a science fiction and fantasy convention.
21. Narrator explains why someone else can't be trusted.
22. Someone appears to be trying to avoid detection but is doing a lousy job of it.
23. Two people meet at a place that they thought was only known to them.
24. Narrator says he or she is in love.
25. Narrator says he or she will never love again.

Wonderful Text-based A.I. online game (with Vore)
Posted 5 years agoFirst, a big thanks to
Kelvin_Shadewing for his journal alerting me to this game.
https://play.aidungeon.io/
( I advise anyone to go to the 'About / Help' page (or the '?' in the upper right once you start a game) the first time in, to see what the few buttons in the game do.)
If you love to RP, but don't always have someone to RP with, I can't recommend this game more.
I say game, but it is so much more.
It runs on an A.I. engine that really does an amazing job with the depth and details to the responses it gives to your actions and dialog.
Just be warned that A.I. requires coherent input by you for it to respond appropriately, so proper spelling and good grammar helps a lot.
What I love most is the freedom it provides and how readily it picks up on what you're looking for.
Keep in mind that there is a story-line that the game is trying to draw you down, so you can just play the story out and try to reach the end goal.
However, it is also so much more. You can easily divert from the story and go off on your own adventure, and the A.I. adapts to your actions.
In most cases. I do my best to simply provide my own actions and dialog, to allow the A.I. to respond accordingly.
However, it is possible to force things to happen.
For example, in one instance I was traveling with another human. As far as the main game was concerned, he was just a human. All I did was then then make a post like:
> You ask. "So Jim, what's it like being a werewolf?"
And immediately the A.I. adjust accordingly. Sometimes the human might deny that he's a werewolf, and other times he admits to it.
Another example was climbing to the top of a tower, where a cloaked figure was seated behind a desk. Playing things out normally, the figure is a human. But if you make a simple post such as:
> You see the cloaked figure seated behind the desk and as you approach, you realize that it's a lizard man.
and bam... just like that, the A.I. turns the figure into a lizard man that you now interact with.
Again, the most fun is just allowing the A.I. to respond accordingly, but it's fun to force some prompts to move the story in the direction you desire.
And if you like vore or transformation, you can definitely have a lot of fun with this.
While some monsters will gladly devour you and some wizards will eagerly blast you with lightning, I love encountering those who are reluctant to do so, and you have to try to convince them.
Note that I have only played so far as the prey or victim, so I don't know how well the A.I. responds if you are more of the dominant, predatory type.
Dragons and Griffins are easy for a vore scene, but you can also get horses, cows and elephants to eat you, if you try hard enough.
Plus you can basically 'create' your own monsters. I went out seeking a basilisk which the game originally described as a plant, yet with simple prompts of trying to find a reptilian basilisk whose gaze can petrify you to stone, the A.I. created such a basilisk, which ended up turning me to stone.
I've alto gotten the game to create a radioactive sludge monster in the 'apocalyptic' setting; a zombie bear in the 'zombie' setting; and a psychotic robot in the 'cyberpunk' setting.
Though I still prefer the 'fantasy' setting the most myself.
Of course, it's certainly not perfect and will often give a confusing reply or keep throwing elements of the original story-line back in to put you back on that track.
Fortunately, there are 3 very useful buttons.
1. Undo last action: If things seem to be going off-track too far, you can undo previous posts and try again.
2. Retry the A.I. response: The first response by the A.I. might be nonsensical to your actions or dialog, and the Retry button will cause the A.I. to offer up a different response.
3. Edit the last post: The A.I. will sometimes get confused with 'you' and 'me', or 'he' and 'she', etc... So the Edit option allows you to correct a response from the A.I., so that it will make more sense or react accordingly the next time. If you use the Undo and Edit buttons, you can even go back and edit your own post. This is particularly useful when you make a misspelling or typo that causes an odd response from the A.I.
Also, if you use the Undo button at the start of the game, you can replace the opening description of who and where you are.
Anyway, I've been rambling long enough, instead of allowing you to go have fun in the game, instead of reading any more from me.
EDIT:
Oh. One last comment. Under the main Menu is an "Explore" option. This gives other settings to try out. I had some fun with the T-Shark game (a combination of T-Rex and Shark). :)
EDIT 2:
Almost forgot to mention, if you're not sure what to type next, or if the A.I. stops in mid-sentence, just hit Enter without putting any text into the dialog box and the A.I. will try to continue with more of the story.

Pure HTML and CSS art that's amazing
Posted 5 years agoThis is pretty amazing.
The following image (and others) were created using nothing more than HTML and CSS.
No expensive art program required. Just months of time and a deep understanding of web coding.

Because it's generated by your web browser, you can't actually save the image without using a screen capture.

More Covid-19 Advice: Be wary of home-made face masks
Posted 5 years agoHere's a twitter video that shows how only approved masks should be used.
(check the reply, and not the main post's video)

Most home-made masks will not actually protect you or others from sneezing or coughing.
The material is simply too porous.
So, no matter how easy and comfortable those how-to videos make it look for making your own face mask, be sure to test it, that it will actually stop sprays from getting through.

Info about the Coronavirus from John Hopkins Hospital
Posted 5 years agoFor those who don't already know this, here is some very helpful information about the virus from Johns Hopkins Hospital.
* The virus is not a living organism, but a protein molecule (DNA) covered by a protective layer of lipid (fat), which, when absorbed by the cells of the ocular, nasal or buccal mucosa, changes their genetic code. (mutation) and convert them into aggressor and multiplier cells.
* Since the virus is not a living organism but a protein molecule, it is not killed, but decays on its own. The disintegration time depends on the temperature, humidity and type of material where it lies.
* The virus is very fragile; the only thing that protects it is a thin outer layer of fat. That is why any soap or detergent is the best remedy, because the foam CUTS the FAT (that is why you have to rub so much: for 20 seconds or more, to make a lot of foam).
By dissolving the fat layer, the protein molecule disperses and breaks down on its own.
* HEAT melts fat; this is why it is so good to use water above 77 degrees Fahrenheit for washing hands, clothes and everything. In addition, hot water makes more foam and that makes it even more useful.
* Alcohol or any mixture with alcohol over 65% DISSOLVES ANY FAT, especially the external lipid layer of the virus.
* Any mix with 1 part bleach and 5 parts water directly dissolves the protein, breaks it down from the inside.
* Oxygenated water helps long after soap, alcohol and chlorine, because peroxide dissolves the virus protein, but you have to use it pure and it hurts your skin.
* NO BACTERICIDE OR ANTIBIOTIC SERVES. The virus is not a living organism like bacteria; antibodies cannot kill what is not alive.
* NEVER shake used or unused clothing, sheets or cloth. While it is glued to a porous surface, it is very inert and disintegrates only:
- between 3 hours (fabric and porous),
- 4 hours (copper and wood)
- 24 hours (cardboard),
- 42 hours (metal) and
- 72 hours (plastic).
But if you shake it or use a feather duster, the virus molecules float in the air for up to 3 hours, and can lodge in your nose.
* The virus molecules remain very stable in external cold, or artificial as air conditioners in houses and cars.
They also need moisture to stay stable, and especially darkness. Therefore, dehumidified, dry, warm and bright environments will degrade it faster.
* UV LIGHT on any object that may contain it breaks down the virus protein. For example, to disinfect and reuse a mask is perfect. Be careful, it also breaks down collagen (which is protein) in the skin.
* The virus CANNOT go through healthy skin.
* Vinegar is NOT useful because it does not break down the protective layer of fat.
* NO SPIRITS, NOR VODKA, serve. The strongest vodka is 40% alcohol, and you need 65%.
Edit: there are a few alcohols more than 65%, and Vodka does come in 50%, but still not strong enough to kill the virus.
* LISTERINE IF IT SERVES! It is 65% alcohol.
* The more confined the space, the more concentration of the virus there can be. The more open or naturally ventilated, the less.
* You have to wash your hands before and after touching mucosa, food, locks, knobs, switches, remote control, cell phone, watches, computers, desks, TV, etc. And when using the bathroom.
* You have to Moisturize dry hands from so much washing them, because the molecules can hide in the micro cracks. The thicker the moisturizer, the better.
* Also keep your NAILS SHORT so that the virus does not hide there.
