Well looks like I haven't updated this darn thing in ages, but I have been full steam ahead on getting pages of Hunter's Romp done. Hope everyone one is enjoying the comic so far, please share and tell your friends!

That aside it's gonna be a few days before I get another page out. With Mother's day coming up my attention is going to be shifting towards breaking out the paint and canvas and doing some "real" art.

Commissions are still open though and my wait list is pretty low so now is still a great time to get some work done!

I'd give up anything just to feel better at this point...

Good news! The blood pressure medication and diet changes are working! My numbers have dropped from 170-150 to 130-150 without the drugs, 110-130 with them. The goal is to get into the 120 range without the drugs, a line I'm trying to reach badly because of...

Bad News! The allergy drugs I take that don't make me sleepy... raise my blood pressure. So I'm stuck with nothing and feeling sick or... taking stuff that doesn't effect my blood pressure and being sleepy as hell and unable to wake up before noon.

Since we're in the wet season my allergies have been kicking me in the ass so sorry for being slow. Trying to solve this stuff has been a rocky road but progress is being made.

So... after the appointment I'm stuck with two kinds of blood pressure medication and some ativan to help with the panic attacks. No quick bullet solution to helping me get over this funk, it's gonna be slow going which pisses me off... I want to get back to working 12 hours a day at breakneck speed!

I am working my way through commissions and getting stuff knocked out slower than I'd like but I'm still on it. Feeling depressed and helpless though...

Still waiting to see my doctor again, and talk about everything that's gone wrong in the past few months. I'm really eager for more answers to try and get myself feeling whole again.

Good/bad news however... is that the results of my bloodwork came in and on top of being allergic to nearly every freaking mold and pollen in the world... I have food allergies to top it off.

Lately I've been dieting and exercising trying to lose weight too see if it helps me feel better... but got the dick punch that I'm allergic to a lot of the food I got to help help me out. I'm allergic to freaking milk, eggs, sesame seeds and *wheat*.

Turns out wheat is in almost every-freaking-thing. So all of the whole wheat high fiber stuff that I got to get my daily calorie intake up... I can't eat. Even imitation crab has wheat in it....

Thanks to the gluten free craze finding wheat free stuff is a little easier... but honestly I can't afford most of it. Hopefully I can get well enough now that I know what to avoid to be able to get commissions done faster so I can even afford to feed myself -_-.

Well I've been feeling a bit better lately, as you may have noticed me actually posting stuff again. Getting back up to speed is going to be a little on the slow side, but I'm trying to get caught up on commissions. We're still trying to figure out what's wrong with me, and I got 3 freaking vials of blood taken today for tests and feel weak and tired.

At the behest of some of my friends, I've also been playing with the idea of streaming art. So for those who like seeing work done live, look forward to it.

So... I went to Urgent Care which sent me to the ER... They wanted to make sure I didn't have a stroke.

Was the most terrifying 8 hours of my life but the CT scan and MRI came back clean, but my blood pressure is freaking nuts.

So... I'm left with no answers, except for that my brain is clean, my blood pressure drops and rises insanely with my stress level...

And I'm still weak as hell, get numbness and pain in my fingers and arms and in general feel sick as hell. I don't know if I'm less scared finding out it was nothing serious in my head, or more scared that we have no idea what is wrong with me now and am back to square one.

Trying to get an appointment with my assigned doctor is a trial and I just want to lay down and cry... All I want to do is get back to work and be useful again.

Things finally got bad enough that I had to go to the doctor and got antibiotics, but I feel even worse on them than I did before. What prompted me to go was that my left arm and hand went numb and prickly so I got a bit scared. He didn't seem interested in that at all and was more concerned about my blood pressure than anything else.

Right now my stomach's all torn up from the antibiotics, I still have the horrific headaches and my body feels weaker than ever. holding my arms up for any length of time makes them shake and twitch. I might end up going in again soon even if we can't afford it... I've never been this sick this long and it's starting to scare me...

Man this year has had the shittiest start ever for me. If I didn't have so many people waiting on me I'd be on the edge of just giving up on life as a whole.

The miserable thing about having severe allergies and chronic sinusitis is that people don't really take allergies as an excuse for being sick and expect you to show up at friend and family gatherings since you're not contagious. Feverish, infection in both my ears and sinuses yes, but not contagious.

With being dragged around all over and my illness being made MUCH worse... I lost my drawing tablet.

I have no idea where or with who I might of left it but it's gone... I was in too much of a haze to even begin tracking around where I had it last...

Spent several days crying, everyone telling me "Oh it'll show up! It's no big deal." Well it is a big deal, it was my only way to get work done lying down when I'm too sick to sit upright for more than two hours without getting a migraine.

So I'll be back to work tonight... trying to work in two hour shifts followed by laying down. I need to be able to replace the damn thing so I will need to make it through my backlog before running some kind of emergency commissions to replace it.

Well the worst did happen and the meds I was on weren't enough to prevent another sinus infection so I am once again back at the drawing board scrambling to find a combination of meds that will help enough to keep me from getting sick at the drop of a hat during winter while still keeping me alert enough to work.

Lying in bed with a fever over new years while everyone else was having fun sucked, and I'm still at the point that when I blow my nose there's almost as much blood as mucus.

I'm really really sorry for the delays, I will get to everyone's work as soon as I can. We're trying a different combination of things now to try and get me up and running again. It's a crappy situation and I'm trying very hard to find something that will work since I can't afford to get on allergy shots again to help vs the 50 things I'm allergic to...

Apologies for going radio silent on everyone I have been swamped doing stuff for the holidays as well as just being sick as a dog in general. The new meds I am on have been leaving me sleepy as hell, although I haven't been in my usual amount of migrainey-agony since I have started taking them.

So I get to choose between being productive but in pain or sleepy and a little slower on my work.

I will be starting again on the commissions asap, and sorry again for the delays, Happy Holidays to everyone!

Seems like I only get around to posting journals when I'm sick, and well... I am sick. Again. Thank you allergies that make a simple cold into a sinus/ear infection and make me feel like I'm dying.

Annoys the snot (harhar) out of me, since I was on a roll doing some pretty fun work and have a few people that have open tabs, but I plan to feverishly cling to my digital sketchbook and get some singles done.

In other news, I've been waffling back and forth on which project I should focus on when I'm not art slaving away for anyone with a few bucks to spare~

Whew this past month has been something else. I have been swamped with all kinds of odd stuff. Such as-

1. I got married.
Yup, my partner and I hit the courthouse after being engaged 17 years so I could get on his insurance through his new job. So many new and different things to deal with there and my head is still spinning.

2. I "moved"
Not physical a physical home so much as a spiritual and professional one. Although there was a lot of physical heavy lifting with this one. Before my computer was out in the living room to make it easier to play games with my partner. Unfortunately this also led to all kinds of distraction, him playing movies while I'm working and having to work on NSFW commissions in stealth mode like a teenager whacking it trying to hide what I'm drawing from the kid.

I have one room of the house I use as an art studio where my massive drafting table, easel, and all my physical media is stored so I have a room to paint in with a *door.* So we had the pain in the ass task of making room for my computer desk, moving it and all my equipment into the room. To top it off we had to run a new cat6 line through the house to the room, but luckily we found some cheap white flat cable that blends into the wall well enough. So now I have my own office with a fine are station on one side and a digital one on the other.

Time to get to work~

I am finally going balls to the wall with development for River of Rust, so have been getting the web presence all set up and ready for people to get involved and watch the game develop~

With things being so rough lately, I finally got a chance to get away from it all. My partner is going to be starting a new job this week, so last week we decided it was now or never... and we took the 4 hour drive to Bodie for the weekend, and spent time camping and taking reference materials.

Those who know me, know I have been working on "River of Rust" a wasteland/post-apocalyptic dating sim and I have been dying to go to Bodie for a good half a year now to get material to use to craft the game setting. It's an amazing ghost town up in the mountains with an enormous amount of buildings standing and propped up in various states of decay.

Good reference material being the basis for good design was a point harped on to no end in some of the concept art classes I took, so now armed with over 700 pictures of buildings, landscapes and random bits of metal I feel pumped and ready to really get on the art and design of this game.

But of course with my luck things aren't always good and I am burned to all hell and back from wandering around taking pictures for three days with no sun screen. So I'll be a bit slower to get work out while dealing with the pain.

I also want to announce that with my partners new job, if all goes well my income from commissions won't be needed as much for food and bills, which means I'll be able to invest it into getting this game done sooner! I'm hoping to get the Patreon details updated as well as get a blog going for progress.

I will eventually go to Kickstart this thing... But only after I have a playable demo ready.

Welp I’m back from vanishing again, but for once it wasn’t me getting sick. This time it was my partner being rushed from work to the hospital because he was light-headed with bad dizzy spells and threw up stomach acid 5+ times so hard his ribs still feel bruised. No idea what happened, one doctor said ear infection and gave him antibiotics, the other said there was no sign of infection and thought it was just an inner ear imbalance of some kind. He’s feeling better now, but I was super freaked for a while there… We’ve been together for 17 years now and I still freak whenever there’s something wrong with him. Which is actually kind of funny because he’s the generally healthy one and I’m the one with chronic pain and health issues.

I’m back at it again and looking through the list of what work I need to. Hard to focus while worrying about him being back at work, but me sitting around making my ulcers worse with worry isn’t helping anyone xD.

Just wanted to post an update that I managed to get a dental appointment on the 23rd so I'll be living off of pain killers until then.

Trying to focus on commissions and classwork while in searing pain wasn't happening, so I got my classwork knocked out, and am spending the day studying for my final at 8pm. Once that is through, the art will flow, promise! I've got one piece to ink and two roughs to knock out so look forward to it~

Wee, on top of trying to work though things... I now have an abscessed tooth that needs to be pulled and no insurance. Still trying to get work done, which is good because otherwise I'd be tempted to punch my own ticket the pain is so bad. But as long as people are relying one me I'm here to stay.

I know I haven't been around much or posted much lately, but my dad dying without a will has come back to bite me in the rear again and we found out we have even more financial stuff we have to straighten out for his "estate" *eye rolls*. Apparently we need to have an executor for the estate to get access to his etrade account to settle and they won't let us even know what's in it until we do. Fun fact- You need to have an assessment of how much is in the estate before you can get an executor declared, which is why it's usually done while a person is still alive.

Hoping we figured it out, waiting to here back, and in the mean time I am a twitchy, anxiety case trying to calm down enough to get back to work. Just when I finally feel like I'm at terms with the fact he's gone, something else has to pop up and stress me out...

Welp it's that time again, my one year closer to death day, I mean birthday. For some reason I've always gotten really bummed out on my birthday... maybe issues with my parents always forgetting when it was.

The cool thing is though... my partner was able to get a loan so I was able to snag an insanely cheap Monoprice 22HD with batteryless pen for under 400$. Right now I'm drawing on a 12" screen so the extra work space is gonna be nuts! Of course I'm gonna have to do a buttload of work to pay it back in a month or so (Yeah I have to pay off my own birthday present, life is weird).

So commissions are way, way open! Help me break in the new pen tablet when it gets here and get some awesome work done~!

As an aside, I've also been poked that I should start streaming. Is that a thing people actually would want to see? If so drop a comment.

Past few days I've been in bed in a feverish stupor so work has been a bit delayed for me. My fever finally broke last night and I'm starting to return a human state with my blood and mucus starting to stay in my body instead of deciding to flee.

I'll try to get on finishing stuff up tonight and tomorrow, apologies for all those effected, right now I would really, really rather be drawing then stuck another day in bed...

Turns out my last journal was overly optimistic... I managed to stumble and fall back into depression when I found out nothing is going to be done about the dog that killed mine. My dog was the second pet it's killed, first was a small stray kitten they adopted... and the third one he's attacked, first was a neighbor dog that needed stitches since he tore the dogs face up since it's head got stuck in a hole in the fence.

Apparently these were all accidents and it wouldn't be fair to him to hold it against him. I know shipping him off to somewhere where he can't hurt anything or putting him to sleep won't bring my dog back, but it's just... tearing me up that this is the third time, and who knows what the forth will be.

Apologies to those I owe work to, I know I'm a week late, and feel just terrible about it, but everything is finally settled and I'll be getting roughs out tonight. I'm one of those weird ass people that get along better with animals than people so the whole affair has me all kinds of twisted up.
