Apologies to all my watchers and my commissions for poofing for a bit there. Depression has been kicking me in the tail end bad, and I was useless off and on for a whole week now. Having work waiting for me and people needing art from me is a pretty nice motivator to not to punch my ticket early though, and I'm struggling onward.

Knocked out two commissions today, and the rest will be handled shortly! After I get through my current list I plan to hold a nice little sale on ref sheets for those needing some characters drawn out~

My dog was killed by my in laws dog last night and I keep going between crying and numb.

When my partner and I moved 10 years ago we left him with them because they had other dauchunds, and by the time we moved back 5 years ago he was really settled in so we let him stay. Three years back they got a bull terrier that's a pretty big boy. My partner went over to feed the dogs last night since his parents went to New York after Christmas and found him broken up with blood everywhere. Luckily I wasn't with him to see it, but he's still really shaken up and is the one that has to clean up all the blood.

Between losing so many of our heroes like Fisher, Bowie and Wiiliams and now the dog I got as a present on my 18th birthday because he was born one day before my birthday, 2016 can't get the hell out of here fast enough.

Just wanna say happy holidays to everyone out there and also say thank you to everyone who has supported me and my work by commissioning art from me. This has been a crazy year for me and I feel really pumped to make next year a better one.

I just did a tally and I have completed *75* commissions in the last 4 months, With a record of getting 6 done in a single day.

All I have ever dreamed of was making a living through creativity and art and thanks to everyone I feel like maybe I do have a shot at this thing after all.

Whew, after spending the last week stressing and working my butt off, I am *finally* done with school and finals! Managed to pull an A out of advanced figure drawing, which was the class that was making me nervous. Almost sad the class is over though, I'll miss having weekly access to a nice model to help push my anatomy skills further.

What this means however is that I have way more time for commissions, and only two people on my list!

Trying to work through my commissions and I see new tablet drivers are available. I installed without thinking about it and now touch input is completely fubared and the palm rejection is going nutso. It's enough to make me want to risk getting a credit card or something so I can get a better drawing screen and just pay it off slowly -_-;. Wacom needs to get their shit together.

Good news though is I'm managed to get A's for all my classwork and homework, so am pretty excited about that~

Holy crapoly I have no idea how time is going by so fast. Midterm portfolio review is up soon and I am panicking baaaaad. With all the family and personal drama, tension and deaths I have fallen badly behind on my homework and need to get it caught up post haste. Whelp I'm finally back at it full throttle again. Starting to feel better now that I have given myself a goal to focus on instead of the pain and stress. Instead of replacing my Wacom Cintiq Companion Hybrid stand that keeps splitting and slipping, I'm going to try to save up for a serious tablet (Aiming for a Ugee UG2150).

With that in mind I'm going to be trying to get rid of some old equipment. I've never used ebay before, but right now I'm trying to say good bye to my old Intuos~ Note me if you want a link to the listing. I feel terrible about my past few updates turning out to be so negative... but right now I feel like everything around me is piling up so bad I'm drowning. For the past while I've pushed my father's death into the back of my mind so I never had to face the fact it really happened, he really died in his 40s and I'm never going to get closure for everything that happened.

Living in denial is hard when you have to spend a weekend sorting through memories and have all that is left of a person, everything they owned and did sitting in a pile in the garage staring at you every time you go do laundry. Trying to carry on with your own life, when you have a tendency to want to take the easy way out and leave it all behind is so hard. Normally I have my depression under control but keeping stable through all this with life tossing even more curve balls has me fighting the urge to just check out.

On top of the emotional mess... I have been too busy cleaning up the fall out of my dog getting skunk attacked to do much work and the stand for my Cintiq hybrid broke. Damn thing costs 50$ and even if I do replace it will likely break again so I need to find a good alternative I can afford...

All that aside... I did get started again... Right now my mind's too clouded to feel anything but apathy for my work, but I hope some of them turn out the way people deserve.

Apologies to everyone waiting on their roughs, I was just hit with a really nasty bombshell.

My dad passed away two years ago, and we left the majority of the stuff where it was because his girlfriend was taking his death really, really hard since it was so unexpected (he was 48, she was much older). Last month she passed as well and her family wants everything out by the end of this weekend so they can rent the house out...

So now I'm swamped with that, dealing with the emotional fallout from it all again and remembering that he really is gone and how I haven't exactly come to terms with it yet...

We only have a few days to make room and arrangements to get it all done... hopefully without crying too much.

I'll try to get all the roughs done on monday, really hope I can get over this quickly... I want to get back to work and for things to be normal...

Okay so the whole days off thing never happened, I was able to rush through my homework and a few commissions and never slowed down all too much. Man I suck at giving myself a break... Oddly enough the list looks little different than before despite knocking more work out because people keep coming back for seconds~ Since the sale started I've whipped out almost *30* commissions. Whew.

So... I have been stuck in bed with an abscessed tooth in my lower jaw which means I have done no work at all for the past 4 days. To make things worse, turns out all the pain killers I had were expired which is why they were not doing jack to help. Really sorry for everyone waiting, I have fresh Advil now and have been hauling my corpse to the PC to work today~

I have managed to knock out 17 commissions since the sale started, and am still feeling pumped and ready to work.

But the PayPal fees were starting to take out a healthy chunk, so I decided to implement a tiny bump across the board.

I'd rather raise prices a tiny bit than do the shady thing and ask people to send money using friends and family because if something comes up and I end up dead, in the hospital or brain dead, it leaves customers with no way of getting money back for services not rendered.

So far I've completed 7 commissions during the sale~! Thanks a lot to everyone who's helped out, I really appreciate the support.

Unfortunately I still have a ways to go to be able to get all the materials I need to complete this school term successfully. My instructors know of my situation and one even offered to donate a sketchbook to me for assignments to help me stay in her class, so I am determined to get through it at all costs.

The sale is still ongoing, but due to classes my turn around will be a bit odd.

All commissions will still be completed within 24 hours of payment, with some done as quickly as 2 hours depending on communication with a few adjustments-

Tuesdays and Thursdays I cannot work on NSFW commissions.

I have breaks between classes where I can easily get work out, but I cannot put maximum effort into a nsfw piece while peaking over my shoulder to make sure no one is looking. I have tried, and it's just too tricky.

In a week or two I may end up revisiting sale prices since paypal has been taking out a larger chunk than I imagined, but if I do it will likely be a 1$ bump across the board.

Well it's finally come down to brass tacks, I have 18 days to come up with the 300$ I need in order to cover books and a parking pass for my classes. With that in mind I'm willing to do work for pennies an hour to earn what I need. I already sold some of my bad dragon toys and am trying to sell my medium Intuos 5 Touch so I don't have to drop out of college.

Well some people may have noticed I vanished for a bit and came back with some random arty bits~ Unfortunately things have been rough as hell, and I ended up losing my financial aid so may end up having to drop out of college if I cannot come up with the money for books and expenses next term on my own.

This of course led to a bit of a complete breakdown (super fun) since one of the classes I'm registered for is advanced figure drawing which is only offered once every two years.

So commissions still open and at this point I'm willing to negotiate lower rates for a shot at not having to drop out...

Well the big day happened today in Character Design... we had the critique of our final character turn around... not by the instructor, but the chair of the digital art department *gulp* He was fair but honest, brutally so in some cases and I have worked myself into a panic attack state in fear for this moment.

What happened I didn't really expect... From the one project he managed to cut to the bone and see all issues I struggle with. Most people got told they need to work on hands or anatomy or finishing their work... I got told I need to stop trying too hard and that I was screwing myself over. That I could make money with where my work is at, but I would likely get fired because I take too long to do it. I need to be fast and good, not slow and the best. It hurt in a way to learn as I am, (super detail oriented and so insecure I try to overachieve and put way more time and detail into things than I need to) I can't succeed. So something's got to give, and I *need* to learn to pick up the damn pace.

After mulling around on it, I have decided to boot camp myself in a way and force myself to do 20 minutes to an hour of exercises every day to push myself to where I want to be and where I can actually make some money.

I went to Michael's and got me a nice fat 100 page sketch pad for the undertaking, and set up a tumblr to post all the exercises, sketches and random work I do.

Since I haven't had as much time I as I would like to work on a long epic comic like I was trying with Faewards, I decided to start working on a series of naughty short stories instead. The first one, “Sweetened Dreams” has been scripted and laid out but I am missing something... what is that something?
