Posted 10 years agoNext weekend, I will be retiring my Quetzalcoatl and Flan the chocobo, as well as likely the goo kangaroo Guru.
I will be pulling down all my art of them and then putting them into a zip file for storage. Other gift art will also be pulled down as well.

I might be bringing back my coyote from a rather long time ago, though he never really got defined. Maybe mixed in with the snow leopard to make a hybrid?

What if, the divine could best be expressed as gravity?
You start your day laying down, then fight against this to stand up. Working and toiling before down you go at the end of the day.
Many people know that proper prayer position is on your knees, closer to the divine. (Falling to your knees is an emergency prayer session)
You are buried six feet down as a head start to the afterlife.
Gravity allows gases such as oxygen to remain around a planet, thus giving life.
In the absence of a strong localized gravity (such as in orbit), the body starts to rapidly break down.
Lost in space, alone forever, is one heck of a hell.
No one can explain the why of gravity, simply that it is a function of mass. Instead, it is the localized means of the divine to touch you. This also means there's a bit of the divine in every person.

Big News! Colorado LARP And GW2.
Posted 10 years agoWell, if people did not know, after FWA this year, I captured Varien, and drove him across the US back home to my home in Wyoming. For the foreseeable future, my mate will be living with me. Woo!
Also, as he used to do a bunch of SOLAR in Georgia, we found out there's a monthly LARP similar to it called Alliance in Denver. Which we will be trying to attend (Wooo! Gonna be half day fridays when they happen!). We both will be doing a little NPCing before making characters, but already looking at the Biata, and feathers!
Also, now his connection here isn't terribad, Varien is picking up Guild Wars 2 again with my. Anyone else still play? Any furry guilds that are, y'know, active? We're on Yak's bend, and I'm friendable at NagaJones.6943. if you add me, tell me who you are!

Posted 10 years agoThere's a place nearby, called Pacific rim. A little pricy, but they serve the best mini kaijus this side of Atlanta! Varien got the 7 spices kaijus, and I got the island style teriyaki kaijus. I'm nom nom vore.

Posted 10 years agoVarien came out to me today. All the intimate time we've spent together... And itt has come down to this. Varien has declared he has been taking Scientology classes for the last year and a half. Yes, /that/ fucking brainwashing cult. We were gonna meet up for fwa, but, with this I am putting our plans on hold for the time being. I'm not sure I can accept this development in our relationship. Sometimes it really is you and not me.
For the time being, I'm going to consider myself single again. Get some fresh perspective on things. I'm sorta available, but the rebound is fucking heart breaking.
Also, going to use my goo roo char, as he is uniquely mine, and try to start this new chapter of my life.

thoughts on new indiana 'Religious Freedom Restoration Act
Posted 10 years agoSo, let's start off that this law essentially makes 'religious freedom' a legal defense for not serving someone specific. And critics are calling it the anti LGBT discrimination law.
We will also state that I am happily in a gay relationship with my mate varien. Woo.
Various companies are lashing out at Indiana for it, but I think it would be better if people simply leave them as is. Why?
Simple economics. Restricting your customer base reduces the demand of whatever good you have, be it a service or food or anything. This in turn lowers your profit, which means it might be a matter of time before another company that didn't use that defense, runs it into the ground.
Even gen con shouldn't mind. A company that refuses service makes them less money and don't get invited back next year.
Woo economic Darwinism.

Friday, April 17th - Leaving Fairfax, VA and heading to Cincinatti, OH

Posted 10 years agoSo, Varien has decided he liked my original plan from way back when™, which would be me going to FWA, and then the two of us driving back. It's not too bad for me, and its about 24 hours drive time over 1600mi. Conservatively speaking, that should be easily doable in 2 days.
