First Furry Convention: Anthrocon Debrief

Now i know why people do this shit every year. I want to do this every year now.
I got to go to my first furry convention and it was absolutely worth it! I loved meeting friends for the first time in person and artists I've been following for a decade.
And
the
raves.
Oh man those were fun. Pounding EDM, jumping and dancing around in a crowd of furries was easily one of my favorite parts of the convention. (According to my fitbit, I burned over 1000 calories at each one.)
If my schedule and budget allow it, I might try for IFC or MFF.
Now i know why people do this shit every year. I want to do this every year now.

Getting back into drawing... again
Posted 7 years agoIt comes and goes, my desire to draw, but I've been wanting to get back into it like I used to and really "git gud" as they say. I've seen that I've gained some watches. So I can't sit and let my page go idle forever now, can I?

Posted 14 years agoI'm possibly asking for a tablet for Christmas but my family has rather limited resources to spend on things. I don't need anything fancy, just something I can use instead of the mouse on a basic program like GIMP. If possible under 80 USD. Can anyone suggest anything for me? Wacom looks too pricey but maybe I could get something used.

For those who don't 36 years ago today the Edmund Fitzgerald, an ore ship, went down during a storm near White Fish point in Lake superior. The ship was caught in the middle of a storm. The ship and 29 crew vanished into the lake. None of the bodies were ever recovered from the wreck.

Posted 15 years agoAs I was walking around ArtPrize here in Grand Rapids I couldn't help but think of how fitting a time and place this would be for a furry convention!
Think about it. You have tons of people downtown with the objective of seeing art and maybe meeting new people, imagine in the midst of all this a gathering of furries, showing the friendly, artistic side of the fandom.
A kid downtown with their parents looking at art gets to see a fuzzy 2 legged dog (or any species) that would make most any child's day.
The ideas are numberless and it would be great to have a Con in GR Michigan. Why not call it FurPrize after the event it would be in the middle of?
