Posted 5 months agoI am visiting friends and family in a remote location this weekend and I am hoping that I can escape and find a bit of stuff to muck around in!. I have A beautiful green sweater dress black thermal tights and my knee high western boots that I am hoping to break in! Keep yer fingers crossed everyone that the weather holds out for my adventure!!

Frustrated Mudscout
Posted 7 months agoWeeeeel, a ranger buddy of mine let me know that some of the roads I get down regularly to do my 'mudscouting' and other such videos will most likely be closed to all public access in the near future. (National Forests Area) Apparently due to some big changes at the top, mass lay-offs n' such, (frustrated) I'm gonna have to do more exploration to see if I can come up with other spots to explore and test for ground stability. (mud scouting)
Soooo what this means for me is, content from me may be a bit rough for a bit. I'm digging into some old footage that I came across on a camera memory card that I thought I already uploaded before. (more footage of past seasons)
In other news, I will also be starting a new YouTube Channel with a slightly different focus (less mud, more just furry content but out in nature doing bike rides and e-bike stuff and of course my photography. I love sharing the wilds with everyone! (It's safer than if I were to ever be caught doing my muddy stuff with less explaining to do). I'll still be doing my muddy things, but now with future challenges of trying to find a place to find mud, my muck-about-content is gonna be a bit of a struggle for a bit.

Soooo Cold!
Posted 7 months agoWell, it's cold to me at least. I like the heat, love some warmth and I generally sleep comfortably with the heat around the 70f or so 21c ish, so I like it warm.
Outside it's been in the 20f range -16 range. It's really been limiting of what I do outside. It's been absolutely beautiful, no rain/snow/sleet/hail nothing to hinder my muck-about-ability, but then there's the chill! Last season's 'dry' lake quicksand play I wore some luscious thermal tights, and thick warm sweaters (the Velma style outfit) or on warmer days the Mudscouts/Swampfox outfits which had the same thermal tights and a warm sweatshirt under the skirt/shirt combo so I'd be warmer.

Even the playing in the clay yellow swimsuit outfit had thermal tights and a sweatshirt. (this yellow swimsuit combo was actually what I was wearing for underwear under the mud scouts outfit) In fact, you can still see my socks with Mudscout tassels on while I go romping in the claypot

On my last camping trip up to the woods I got some more fashionable footage on a cold bright sunny day. I couldn't get down to the water to check out how far the water has receded just yet, but I did manage to get a quick little video of me exploring a mossy little wooded area.
I'm wearing the same tights that I've been seen wearing in my FA-ID picture, without the shorts over them. They're a happy thermal fleece lined pair of tights that are a dream to wear. Also rocking a wonderfully warm knit sweater and some riding boots. If any of you are wondering, yes, I do have a pair of jods to match with the boots, but they are skin tight, and practically as thin as a pair of pantyhose. Sooo, they aren't exactly something I'd wear out in the cold.

Where do you wander?
Posted 11 months agoWith FA's questionable future and recent pause (the hacking situation) I feel a bit of conflict as to where to go. I love FA and it has been a good hunk of my life/free time has been spent here, I would sorely miss it. But anyone going elsewhere? is there an elsewhere? I don't intend on pulling out of FA, but I want options for the future.

Moving soonish
Posted a year agoSoo, title says it all, I am moving soonish.
I have been living in the garage of family friends for the last several years, and have been saving/working a few jobs and this and that and the other thing.
It worked for me for all these years and it will still be sorta a backup plan for bad weather, but I will be more full-time in my van. I was able to trade in my old van for a spiffy new one (I will miss the old Savanna, but new van I can stand up in. My knees will thank me. No more crawling
Me and my family will be outfitting the basics and then taking it to a local Van-outfitter for the installation of various tanks and equipment.
Sorta doing that vanlife thing but I will still have a home base/workshop/studio when needed.

Posted a year agoOk, yeah, so about my health... So a few weeks ago I had some health screenings, and the Dr person had one of the screenings for a variety of Cancer. Wait Whut?! now because of the C word, the verdict/diagnosis is going to take forever, and get fished around to a variety of labs across the flippin' country. So I'm still waiting on that C word. Its a thing that has effected my family greatly, every relative I know has had it, or died from its complications, sooo, its kinda weighing hard on me. I feel as if I'm staring at a clock watching the seconds tick by in slow motion. Will I get a call today, hey, another appointment maybe, come on, I just want to know! Thats the long and the short of it,

Jones is a fursuit head I created years ago, on a whim with some leftover scrap fur. The head is wireframe with crochet mesh, and lots of packing tape then a little bit of foam and funfur glued on to that. It offers FAR better visibility than the Selah head, and a little better breathability and ventilation. None of my heads have fans currently installed, though I am working on a head design for a sorta Selah 2.0 upgrade eventually. It probably won't be ready this summer as I hoped, but someday. It will have an actual cooling chip and internal A/C built in to keep the wearer (me) cool and comfortable.
There is another head in a design phase that CB had laying around, it kinda fits me, and would allow me to get really deep and muddy, the head actually straps on and has a scuba tube that runs up a long bobcat ear-tip Soooo, techinically, I could sink over my head deep with just the ears poking up out, and still be able to breathe! Its a possibility for the future, need to scrounge and save up for some of these ideas, so they may be more future future.

Another quickie short thingy
Posted a year agoJust a snibbit I was testing a spot hoping for a little deeper muck instead I lost my balance and fell into the embankment. All good here, but you get to peek up my dress and I don't care! Haha, nothing to see here them's thermal tights! pbbt!
The one thing ya might notice, is that my tights have been tugged down a smidge, thats just the power of the mud on my lower legs weighing the tights down, trying to pull them off! Mud is a strong force, and has a strong desire to pull down clothing. I loose all manner of socks all the time to the mucky mucks!

Mudscouts!
Posted a year agoSo, I'm planning on getting all decked out in a Mudscout uniform, maybe with a friend (depends on things n stuff) and going on a little exploratory camping trip anyone have any suggestions on camp activities? or outfits besides our usual Mudscout uniforms???

I have two outfits in this video, the first pair is pretty much the same outfit;
I've got a comfy pair of fleece lined yoga tights, a skater skirt, and a warm black cardigan and for my shoes I've got a classic pair of Reebok aerobics high-tops
The second scene of that series I just opt for not wearing the skirt, just going for the tights and the cardigan.
Next up and next swamp.
I go for ballet tights and a leotard. This is a new-to you video and you'all haven't seen this one. I really debated posting this one as, well, the leo is skin tight and hides absolutely nothing. Back when I filmed this, I was a bit more out of shape and weight was an issue for me. I've gotten in better shape lately, but still have a some work to work on.
Anyway, Enjoy!!!

I know I wanted to put out a new video, but, we had an unforseen water/weather issue with the water heater, and guess where all my computer and editing area is at, yup, right in that general location. So my computer is all packed up and not on at the momment. I did put out a fresh new video over on youtube highlighting my wonderfull chilly weather though. Its chilly!

Posted a year agoAlrighty folks, I missed a week for my posting due to fowl weather and occasional power problems.
Its hit the cold part of the season for us and cold makes me just want to cuddle under the covers and sleep the season away.
Anyway, being productive around this time of the year is always a challenge for me. Good news though, next video after this one should be another muddy adventure for all you mud seekers out there. Videos from a season or two ago!
Anyway, here's the latest video:
A few videos with natural sights and sounds from this beautiful part of the world I live in. The prime focus points of this video are around Bellingham Bay, and the northern puget sound area of Skagit and Whatcom County.
