It's not the classwork, it's the 2 hour commute. it just sucks all the energy out of me x.x Thankfully I only need to get through two more weeks!

I got in touch with a counselor at my college to find out what classes of mine transferred from my other schools. So I at least know 3 of the classes I need to take next semester, but I still need to talk to the head of my department to find out whatever else I need to take x.x I'm hoping I can get into at least one drawing/art related class next semester, since the other three aren't really related to my major. I've been doing a lot of gen eds and other degree requirements which are interesting, but I don't get a lot of time to draw.

I've mostly been doing photography the last two semesters, though I don't feel confident sharing most of what I've done. ^^;; I'm a true beginner with that stuff. I've also been working on stuff for my illustration class, but it's the type of thing where I have to pour a lot of hours into work I'm not that interested in? So I dunno I haven't been posting any of that either >.> There's one piece I wanna post that I did this semester, but I wanna fix it up a bit first.

I really wanted to start doing streams last month too, but my student loans were late to be dispersed for myriad reasons, so I haven't been able to get reliable internet in my new place yet, but! That should happen next month when I get paid, and later next month I'd like to start kicking the dust off my youtube channel and start posting a few things. Recorded streams, speed paints, progress on my next fursuit and things of that nature.

Hey guys!

The fall semester started and I've had to take off running. I'm still working on my transfer to Uni, and finishing up my last classes at community college. Which has meant making a commute two hours each way once a week. X.x But I'm getting a handle on my schedule and getting ready to start a few art-related projects. But the thing I'm looking forward to most is the return to regular Art Streams! Starting in October, I'll be streaming commissions, requests, concept art for my ongoing projects, in addition to funky tunes and hanging out!

I'll post a week ahead of time before I start streaming, but I will likely go live on Monday evenings (5-7pm PST) starting likely the second week in October, but you can also subscribe to my Picarto channel to receive notifications about when I'll be streaming (picarto.tv/princeofbats). I hope you'll join me!

So, I've been doing some work with a good friend for her 3D printing, scanning, and modelling business and we now have an official FA!

I just put up a few of the products she's been working on today, and locals might recognize the "shrunken furry heads" we've been selling at the local furbowls. :P

It's spring break here, and I'm clearing up my commission back log for the week. So, there will be some new art forthcoming. But then I'll probably be going silent again. I'm going to be taking some time to do various digital painting studies with my new tools/program, and just in general trying to improve before I get back to personal work.

I've also been working on fursuit stuff, I had a finished partial fursuit in time for FC a few months back, but I haven't posted him here yet >.< oops.

FA and DA have been mostly quiet, but I am pretty active on my twitter! I also post progress shots of fursuit stuff, sketches, and art stuff that doesn't make it to my FA for anyone who's interested. Don't feel shy about talking to me either, I'd love to hear from you!

I know my art is not up to professional standards, and I know that I'm not where I want to be as far as skill and appeal, but, I feel like i've hit a wall. Like I know there's something lacking in my art, but I don't know how to work towards filling in that hole. Is it content? Is my art just not relatable enough to earn a following? Is it composition? Anatomy? Something else quantifiable?

I know there is no replacement for hard work in this field, but I do work hard and wonder if I'm not spinning my wheels for nothing. Or working hard in the wrong direction. Or not working hard enough. I wish I had some guidance. And I mean real honest judgement, not someone trying to make me feel better.

Hey, I'm out of practice drawing furries, and have lacked inspiration lately. So I figured I'd take some requests from my watchers. Some will be sketches, some will be color, it;s all based on how much I like an idea/character and how much time I have.

Whew I know I've posted a lot today. I'm finally getting onto the stuff that I've made this year. XD So, yeah, not much more now.

I have replaced my computer and have been making stuff, but most of it has been of the school work and oil painting variety and not much furry. But I'll be updating and uploading a bunch of stuff soon! Possibly a little today, possibly next week. So yeah. I'm gonna try to be more active here and on weasyl.

I'm still loafing around Second Life and tubmlr as well.

It's been having problems for over a month, and now it won't let me open any programs before it overheats and shuts down. That's why I haven't posted any art lately, I haven't been able to finish any. I'm hoping to be able to replace it with my next paycheck on the tenth, but we'll see how that goes.

If anyone is interested I could try to post some photos of my sketches, or just wait until I get a new computer and then I'll be back to posting finished stuff.
