Yup, I decided to finally bite the bullet and start a new profile. FA's been dragging their feet on the name change feature for years and I got tired of waiting.

I'm working with a drawing tablet these days and I'm still feeling things out.

I'm also gonna leave this account up as is and not repost anything on the new gallery. It's a fresh start with new content but still the same old wacky stuff you've come to expect from me.

Or maybe I shouldn't have substituted vermouth with unfiltered saki. Ah, well. It's not like I'm the only one with a hangover on New Year's Day. Nothing some greasy homemade chinese food and aspirin can't handle.

You ever get something year after year for Christmas and when you stop getting it it feels like a gift in and of itself? That's how I feel about wall calendars.

Almost two weeks now since work stopped. I'm still employed and getting paid mind you. For a little while at least. I've kept busy tending my plants, going on long walks and catching up on household projects. I remember freezing my butt off not too long ago and now I catch myself stopping under trees and waiting till a cloud passes in front of the sun to move on it's so hot, Spring here is fickle and brief. Only children with water balloons, hoses and pools dare brave the outside for more than a few moments.

Most of my less than hearty flowers have wilted or dried out completely. I took what little I could from the ground and repotted them to treat inside. My cactus is doing great though.

Baby cranes have started showing up around the neighborhood, fuzzy real live dinosaurs. They're classified as nuisance animals here but that doesn't stop the elderly masked horde from feeding and fawning over them. I'm on pretty neutral terms with the birds myself. They eat my yard pests and I give them their space.

I've been drawing more than I have in years to keep my mind off current events and pass the time. Seems to be working for the most part. I should look for some gimp tutorials.
