Hey guys, any of you from Ottawa? I'm having some major anxiety about leaving my dogs in a kennel for a few days in September while I go to my brothers wedding, everyone I'd normally leave the dogs with is going to be out of town ;__; haha. I have a male and female (both fixed), 55lbs each. I'm thinking if any of you are local and happen to be able to take care of two adorable babies for a few days in September, I'd be a lot more comfortable with that.

I'd of course want to get to know you a over the summer (plus new friends, why not?!) and see your place/meet any other pets you have to be sure everyone was a good fit, but I'm completely willing to pay for your time <3. I'd supply food/bowls/toys, they'd be bathed before you got em so that you can enjoy fresh durgs (they're always fresh though lol) and they're both kennel trained if you wanted me to bring kennels over too, they never go in them anymore though since they're both very well behaved. They're cat friendly and dog friendly, but they are bull terriers so they can be 'annoying' to other animals lol, as long as your dog isn't aggressive it wouldn't be a problem. They will sleep literally all day, they're not destructive, they're easy to walk, and they're just nice dogs in general. They are really people friendly but my male can be a little exuberant, and even my super calm female is still a bull terrier and can still knock a little kid over without even noticing, so ideally no children would be best.

Alternatively I think I'd be alright with you staying at my house to watch them, but we are going to have to be really comfortable with each other, and I live in the middle of nowhere outside ottawa so id feel better if you had a car and could drive so that I didn't have to worry about you being stuck with no grocery store or hospital or anything else you might need for too long. >.< if you did end up staying at my place you'd still get paid, and I'd make sure you had lots of food and snack :p

ANYWAYS, that's probably the oddest journal I ever wrote! Except that journal that said nothing but "dog dog dog dog" 50 million times, that was odd too. Let me know!

Ahhhh man I'm back at the computer today, I can finally sit upright without too much pain or pressure or pulling on all of my suture sites! Yesterday I was so swollen up from missing a med dose the night before that all I could do was recline or lay down like a lazy butt. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to go today, and I'll warn you that I mayyyy be under the influence of narcotics *winkity wonk* but I'm going to get straight to work on some owed art, I can't wait to get you guys your artwork and be back in the swing of things. This has been my longest bout of no drawing in forever I think xD

Hey guys!

If you've been following my journals then you know by now that I was in the hospital for emergency abdominal surgery a few days ago and am still recovering and getting back to doing basic things like dressing myself, getting out of bed on my own, and moving around through the house. I'm not able to be back at the computer yet, I was hoping I could be upright long enough today to get at some art but I just can't, fingers crossed for tomorrow!

In the meantime, I noticed I'm ONE WATCHER away from reaching 3000, you guys are amazing and it warms my heart to know that people appreciate my art, because I really enjoy making it <3. So, in case you haven't commented on my 3000 watched raffle, you should go do so! I'll be leaving it open until I'm back at my computer, so you have a day or two to go drop a comment :)

Hey guys! Just a little update on what went/is going down at the hospital. Like my last journal said I had to go to the ER and did end up getting admitted. I had emergency surgery yesterday first thing in the morning, so thankfully the worst of the pain is over! It was laparoscopic surgery, which basically means they didn't have to cut me wide open, so I've got 4 smallish incisions under my ribs and another not as smallish incision in my bellybutton. I'm still at the hospital for now but my pain levels are lowering quickly and if all is well I should be released later today (it's 5am right now). I'm going to be healing for a week or so (4-6 to fully heal) so in about a week I should be back to art with no more delays! It has really sucked feeling so sick and in pain for so many weeks and I'm really thankful to you guys for being patient and for all your well wishes <3

Hey guys, about to head to the ER so I figured I'd post a journal in case I'm admitted for a few days for surgery, there is a high probability that I will be. In doctors waiting room for the umpteenth time this month, if you're around and have a joke or funny story for me I welcome them! Stressed out and run down and I could go for a pick-me-up haha.

On the plus side, today I will hopefully be diagnosed with whatever is wrong with me that's making me sick, the blood tests already showed that my thyroid isn't working right so that explains having little energy through all this, but it's not the main problem. I was offered hormone to compensate but asked for a specialist to be sure what's going on so I need to cope with the low energy levels for now. This stuff is all why I've been slow to art lately but hopefully soon I'll be on the mend. Thanks for all the patience everyone! I intend to have my current queue cleared out over the course of the week since I should be done with appointments and tests for a week or two now. So, if you're waiting, you shouldn't be waiting long <3

Hey guys, wanted to give a heads-up as to why things have been delayed this week. I've been really sick off and on for the past week and it's kept me dizzy, nauseated, and for the most part pretty bedridden. I thought it was getting better over the weekend but last night was so bad that all I could do was focus on trying to breathe through the pain. So, at this point I'm about to head out to the ER because if it gets any worse I dunno how I'll manage lol :C

I'm hoping this doesn't keep me down for too much longer. I feel bad making you guys wait, I think I'm behind schedule about a week, but as soon as I'm able I'll be getting back to art. I'm hoping the hospital can offer some sort of relief/answers, especially since I'm so very reluctant to go in the first place.

EDIT: Hey guys, still sick and undergoing tests, awaiting the results of bloodwork and have some appointments scheduled for more tests. I've got some energy back now though (as of the 22nd) so I'm working away on stuff as best I can! Really sorry for the delays but thankfully things seem to be looking up at this point.

Anybody else have a dog with a ridiculous sense of humour?
Brewster just came up to me and bit my whole ear, not rough, just... grossly.
I'm pretty sure he might have licked my brain.
He thought it was a hilarious joke, and proceeded to wiggle his body all over the room immediately afterwards.
He also likes to stand on people's hair when they're lying down so that they can't move, and then snuffle all over their faces and hair.
Nobody can avoid laughing/screaming while this is going on, he's really rough with his nose, and he has no limits about snorting all over you, so naturally he thinks that this is hilarious also.

He hasn't been allowed for any walks or runs or swims or anything that would usually expel his insane amount of energy for a few weeks now because of his busted toe, so he has soooo much energy that he isn't sure what to do with. He has been using it to be as silly as he possibly can be without me getting on his case about jumping around haha.

So I realized it's been about a month (maybe a bit more) since I did one of these free art thingies.
As most of you know I have started going through my submissions about once a month and picking one or two of the frequent commenters for a free doodle.
The catch as usual is you'll need to check the journal to see if you've won, because activity and interactivity is the key!

Brew got his splint off at the vet's today, and he's no longer on any drugs making him groggy or cranky or sick feeling, so that's fantastic.
They were baffled at him walking and looking as if he hadn't broken a bone a week ago lol, obviously they don't treat many bull terriers ;D Tough little booger.
Anyways, he's mega thankful to have that thing off, all smiles and wags and kisses, he's been such a bummer dog all week, I'm glad to have my little man back, even if he's still on bed rest for 3 weeks lol.

SO, figured I'd share that happy little update with you guys since you were more or less in the loop about it, plus I'm pretty happy about it in general :) It's nice to have a vet visit that yields good news rather than bad for once lol. Hope you guys are having a good daaaay <3
