Posted 5 years agoWHEW so- there's been a BLIZZARD going on up here for about all day! managed to get some holiday shopping done but it felt so SO good to get home hahaha!
anyways, the holidays are here! christmas, kwanzaa, chanukah, or yule- whatever you celebrate, i hope you have some fun and light this year!! it's been a real tough year and my wish is for everyone to find a peace of mind and enjoy what they can out of this cold, cold season 💙

Posted 5 years agosooo my laptop finally ate the dust- ole faithful was a windows 7 i got back in 2014, so it had a pretty good life actually! <3
that means i have.. honestly no idea when i'll be uploading art next, much less (obviously) doing digital art. maybe if you guys wanted i could do more traditional art? it's been a good while but i could always use the experience and practice to freshen up!
just wanted to drop by and let everyone know what was up ^^'
i'm hoping to get a new one soon, and i'll be able to rescue all my unfinished pieces!

keeping it real (update)
Posted 5 years agoso, hi again fa! it's been a really long time since i've popped in here, much less uploaded art. i hope you guys are still around because i genuinely really enjoy this art and the people who continue to watch and support me, as well as showing what i can to the community and doing my part!
this year has been something else- and i'm sure you don't need to hear my saying so. right now, we're fighting a pandemic, not to mention trying to prevent the country to falling back into its horrible old ways of the deep rooted racism history, and tackling what we can to ensure we do NOT become a country falling under a dictator ruling.
life for me hasn't been super easy either. i lost my dog this year- i don't believe i've ever brought her up on here. i rescued her when i was 9 years old, and she was 15 and a half this year when she had passed. to say this dog had been by my side since day one is a HUGE understatement.
she helped me survive, as dramatic as that sounds, when i lived under my mom's roof and helped me fight my worst depressive bouts. she was my only friend, irl, for a long long time. i remember when i would be home alone for so many days, but having her by my side made all the difference. i had told her i was going to leave, that i had to do it for my own safety- i had sobbed into her fur and held her all week knowing i'd leave her behind, and it hurt so much.
a year later, we went down to ohio to visit for the holidays. despite the hell that ensued during our visit, we still saw her, and she seemed to be doing well. even during our trip earlier this year in february, before this pandemic really set off, we had made another visit... and my fiance told me without my even asking that he knew she was doing okay, that she still loved me and made peace that i had left.
she was a hearty little thing, being a rat terrier. she had struggled with health problems before, but always managed to fight the odds... she ended up passing due to cancer in her lungs.
i love her so much and i still blame myself to this day for not being there, not being strong enough to stay. i have a cuddle clone of her to cope with it all, and i know it's not really her- but it's beautiful and has been really helping me during this time.
aside from that, i've been super busy working! i work as a host now- i won't lie, the people who come in scare me because 90% of them refuse to wear masks... but aside from covid again, i've really liked picking up a job in the restaurant industry!
my hours have been cut pretty badly though, so there's that... but i'm looking to work at the taco bell in town, the pay is looking great and i love their food, so there's that HSJFDSF haha!
so YEAH, that's about it! i turned 25 a week ago and it's been really truthfully... hitting different. i'm feeling my age but i'm just trying to get through each day haha! i finally have figured out how to manage time, for the most part... so i'm hoping to post more on here!

❄️BIG winter update! ❄️
Posted 6 years agohey all!! i figured i would replace my last journal. it feels really good to get rid of it, but at the time it felt good venting a lot of my negative energy and worries out so.... that takes care of that!!
anyways, i’m doing a bit better. my fiancé and i are enjoying the holidays the best we can, eating sweets and watching some of our favorite holiday shows! we are currently dog sitting for like a whole week... i cannot STRESS how amazing it feels. despite doing work at someone else’s house, it practically feels like we’re on holiday LOL
in other words, i am hoping this whole internet mess is sorted out soon.... i’m trying to do my best in ensuring everyone gets their owed art from me. its still frustrating but at this point in time, i am able to make things work!! unfortunately that means uploading in bulk... but honestly, i see a lot of people do that on here nowadays so it’s relieveing :❤️
i have a TON of art to post, as always... i’ve been really focusing on my original characters as well as the stories my fiancé and i write, at least visually now. i am so excited to see everyone coming to life at last!! now.. to finish glossing up all my ocs profiles on toyhouse (see: never). i am super excited nonetheless to get posting, so keep your eyes peeled!
as a side note, i really want to get to drawing more fanart- it makes for great warmups, and honestly...... i wanna draw more of tormund and grayson!! i am so happy to get the feedback that i do for them- so thank you guys, haha!
i definitely know the agony of LOVING a pairing, only for it to have little to no art at all... so being that (seemingly?) one person to deliver REALLY motivates me and bring me a lot of joy!!
i always love doing cute, simple but nice enough little domestic things with these two guys, so keep your eyes peeled! i haven’t decided yet either if these will be uploaded as their own pieces or into a dump, either. feel free to let me know what you’d prefer!

2020 has me really excited though, to be honest. i haven’t been on dA barely at ALL, but even as crushed as i am about that, i feel like i’ve personally covered a lot of personal ground this year. hopefully next year i’ll be fully set into the ground and really moving fast, so i’ll be able to come on more and more and work around a more steady schedule. i really have to thank everyone who’s stuck around and given me the support that you have- i am truly thankful for all of you, i think of all of you each day and i swear you guys give me all the strength and motivation i need to carry on. thank you, some of you are just the SWEETEST and my humble gratitude cannot reach you enough. ❤️💕 cheers, and let’s move forward into the next year!!

vent/need help
Posted 6 years agomy seasonal depression is seriously the WORST this year. i usually get it because of the winter months and lack of sunshine, but this is the worst it’s been in a good few years. i’ve been so drained so easily, i’m depressed, and my moods are out of control and i can’t even help it, i’m not even aware until stuff has been said and done.
i just feel like the worst! i’m trying to manage, to be mindful and keep things in place, but it’s not going so well. does anyone have any advice for coping with seasonal depression? i’ll take anything- things are not good.
i feel terrible and i feel so guilty for being unhappy at this time of year, but...ugh ;;

Posted 6 years agoWOW fa! it’s been a real hot minute since i’ve been on here... and to be honest, i hated it! i really missed coming in frequently and posting art on a schedule, but oh well.
so let’s start on this update!! :3
in short news, i was laid off from my old job. this sucks, because it was really helping me move on in life quickly, but things happen- and i’m moving on so i don’t have to think about it!
during this time, i will be opening for commissions- woohoo! i’ll be sure to post journal openings for them so that they’re easy to find- i might even do a ych or two in the meantime, if anyone is interested in that as well! <3
i’m glad to be back, at least for now. we still do not have internet and i’ve been relying hardcore on my phone alone to upload things and complete art, which is.. bluntly, frustrating as hell. fingers crossed we actually get it- should be around next week! during that time i’ll post a commission journal as well, so stay tuned!
as for life itself, my fiancé and i are doing great <3 both of us are busting our asses hard to be free and live the lives we deserve! i’m proud of my boy, he is my main motivation and inspiration, i dont know where i would be without him. he is my light and i hold him so close. i’m so, so, so eternally grateful to be sharing my life with him, and now blending ours together as a team.
this coming weekend we will be heading to our local ren fest as well, as furry trash LOL! i’ll be dressing up as black wolf, he’ll be a white fox :3 i’ll be sure to snag pictures and possibly post them! i am SO EXCITED for this. the renaissance festival in itself is one of my very favorite things to do, waiting all year nearly kills me! i’m looking forward to having an awesome day with my boy <3

Posted 6 years agoyou guys know the drill- i feel so dissociative about this stuff, ever since last year it’s been so hard to grasp getting older and older! i’m starting to feel like a seasoned war veteran on every single social media site or app i use. HELP
anyways i hope everyone is having a very lovely weekend, i am SO sorry i haven’t been active on here!!! we still need to hook up our internet- everything is such a long story right now, but i have a job and it’s been so hard to normalize my online life ever since. nothing too bad, just.. job stuff! i work at a sub shop in a casino, so that’s pretty cool. i get to meet some pretty interesting people, but if i can make them smile and send them on their way satisfied, that’s all i need!
hopefully the rest of this year will sort itself out, and we’ll be able to get back on. i really do miss this site, there is drama (but isn’t that everywhere?) but i know some really cool and sweet people here that i truly think about often and miss. i promise i’ll try my best, i promise i’m working hard right now as is!!!

Posted 6 years agotoday officially marks kitboys and i’s 4th year anniversary! we can hardly believe it, haha!!
we’re just gonna take it easy and enjoy nature today, but next month we’ll get to actually party HARD hahaha.
i love this boy so much!!! its funny how we’ve known each other for so long (next year will make TEN years!), know everything about each other and have such a solid foundation, and yet today i’m still struggling for words. we’ve been through so much together, but i love every day, month and year i get with him. the world is so kind and so amazing for giving me such an amazing person to grace my life.
its amazing to finally have this boy in my life when i fell in love with him way back now, when we were kids. i never would have predicted any of this, but i’m so glad it happened- i really, truly feel like we complete each other and out of the millions and millions of people in this world, i’m so, SO humbled and thankful that its the both of us who found each other and stayed by each other’s sides.

so up here in minnesota we are FINALLY are seeing our first taste of spring!! god my fiancé and i are SO excited.. the air is getting lighter and the days are staying brighter! it's just so wonderful all in all <3
i’ve been feeling more uplifting and motivated so i love it!!
speaking of, i know i’ve been slow on here- i’ve been SUPER busy with a bunch of stuff! i’ve been feeling a huge mental shift this year (because of the blood moon, it effected my star sign the most) and just generally better and ready for change!
i’m realizing now that i’m likely am ambivert- i feel better with a good mix of staying quiet and yet still reaching out to people when i can. it feels so good to be talking to people again!
idk, for awhile i was really, really down and not feeling up to socializing- but now that life has provided me the chance for change and growth, i’m fully embracing it. my goal this year is to make more friends and tighten bonds with the ones i have! <333
so, why my art has been slow- mostly a mix of above, and i joined a group on dA for an awesome closed species someone made called impims!
they’re super cool and have a lot of potential, so i’ve been putting my all into mine. you can see him here:

i had a terribly busy month last month, so i am finding my footing again and hoping to crank out a bunch of art as well as finish up some owed pieces!!
after that, i’m not sure what’s next, but i hope to be on a more regular schedule!

i will be doing free art all week in spirit of halloween and this event! hopefully that will make up for the lack of candy coming from me~
all i ask is that you provide a clear reference for me. these will be random assorted drawings- you may get an icon, a halfbody, or a fullbody drawing with background! (keep in mind these will be halloween related).
i will do as many of these as i can!! (1 character per person, please!) have fun everyone! <3 the code word is.. trick or treat!! if you cannot remember, prepare to get turned into a frog or a newt... i hope you enjoy your new slimey life... mwahaha!!
edit: i will be turning my lights back to OFF on october 31st, so make sure you come in and get your treat!! <3

Posted 7 years agoso.... i've fallen into a slump with my art lately and i'm just not feeling it.. it's very easy to let my mentally ill ass perspective get the best of me at 3 am right now, but i've been considering this for awhile.
i used to be semi-popular or something on past accounts (on dA) as a cartoony artist, but i fell out of it because my style got so repetitive and limited to my boundaries.
i was really enjoying being a kemono artist at the start of this year, but now... i'm just not sure where my direction has gone.
there are some pieces that i make that i still like, don't get me wrong- i just feel misguided sometimes because my art isn't getting out there and i rarely get feedback (which i don't mind, but it's been a very quiet year compared to the feedback i was used to.)

Posted 7 years agoOn the 21st through the 31st of October, post a journal/tweet/etc that's called LIGHTS ON
This shows that your "porch light" is on and you're accepting Trick or Treaters.
People can come to your journal/tweet/etc and comment "Trick or Treat!" or whatever other code word you'd like to use.
At which point, the creator of the journal can offer up small sketches or the like as treats for who comments.
And, as to not overwhelm people, you can set a limit as to how many trick or treaters you'll take.
Everyone runs out of candy eventually! Once you hit your limit you can change your journal to Lights off or closed, etc.
I feel this could be a chance for some people to get some art and have fun while doing it as well~
Also, please don't be greedy! Be courteous to your other Trick or Treaters!
Please share this around on Tele, Twitter, FA, Weasyl, wherever, so more people can participate!
