New Comic...Start!
General | Posted 5 months agoI'm not the best at finishing these things am I?
Truthfully, I've never really done a comic in full before the first one I ever made, so it was...not the best. I'm not very proud of it at all, and during that time I was really struggling with my style. I...don't mention that one, lol.
Skinnydipped was my next comic, and while I really enjoyed working on that one, I don't think I really planned out where it was going. It ended up really confusing me as to what to make next, or where it would lead. So it's on hiatus, and it'll come back as a brand new thing. Characters will stay the same, and the general theming (tentacles) will still be there! Buuut...
This new one is an origin story. I feel like I didn't really explain too well who these two cuties are. And I think it really stunted the way I wrote them before.
"It's smut, who cares!"
Yeah yeah, I totally get that. Except I'm not too sure that it doesn't matter. To me, I love build up. I love some good pining. I looove awkward, cute moments between characters while they try to discover each others bodies and man. I wanna write stuff like that. Stuff that makes your heart skip beats! So this one is much more different. I made an outline, I've sketched out pages upon pages in advance, and I wrote down the script. Paneling is figured out, and I have more of a solid grasp of who they are as People, not just characters to throw around all willy nilly with zero development. I don't like that!
Just because something is smut doesn't mean that care can't be put into it. I care that when we get to the spicy stuff, it feels deserved. It feels worth the wait!! So yes, the comic for the most part is mildly scandalous for a bit, until it isn't , and you'll know when that is. I think that you'll like that I made ya wait a while!!!
I'm super excited for this one. This one is getting finished! I'm planning to do "Issues" and then do short breaks in between to write the next "Issue" (and to draw Maple and Syrup after this comic doin all sorts of silly sexy things to each other to tide the wait for past Maple and Syrup's first time together, because I'm sure I'm gonna miss drawing them like that, lol. You'll be able to tell current M&S (collars) apart from past M&S (no collars!)) . The first "Issue" will be around 12 pages of setup, and I'll post the first 4 pages publicly!
Anyway, I hope you look forward to it. This one is a real labor of love. :)

Thanks for checking out my FurAffinity page! It's been a long-time coming, and I wanted to get this thing set up before I start working on the comic again. There's a lot of stuff I have to do beforehand, and if you're interested in seeing the work in progress, you should go check out the Patreon!
In other news, I finally feel like I belong in the furry community, me and my silly kitty,
skellybeanz have been feeling kinda alone in the grand scheme of it all. There's just SUCH a big community and it's hard to figure out where you fit in. I'm so grateful for the folks who follow me and Skelly, and we've been working so hard lately, so it's nice to see the positive reception. Thank you!
