Posted a month agoHey, So I hope you guys are doing well. Its been awhile and I needed to take a break from social media.
Overall im doing okay, though with the rise of AI and so much uncertainty going around, I felt I needed to make a change.
Im gonna be real. When I first created this account it was supposed to be private. However, after a really nasty break up I made this my main username on most platforms because I struggled to figure out an identity for years. The internet has changed so much and I was also not sure if it would be the best idea to make the change when I was starting to become more established as an artist.
Ill still be using this account for now but I would like to begin this transition. Im not sure ill completely stop posting here but I would like to have less accounts to post to.
I've already begun to make the change on Twitter, bluesky and Cara so if any of you guys have accounts on those websites, You can find me @/OneMeanYeen!

With twitter taking a massive dump, I sought out a BlueSky code and thanks to my friend Divithewolf, I was able to make an account which you can follow here.
Aside from that, I have been slowly trying to build up a new routine and I think I've finally been able to make some progress. I've been in a pretty rough spot this year overall.
I realized just how much I was codependent on my dog for my own wellbeing and happiness that starting up a new routine became incredibly difficult. Building up new habits can be rough and I couldn't stay consistent for months. Along with adjusting to living in my new home, and being someone who isn't the best at adapting to changes, this also took some time and a lot of my energy. Thankfully my roommates have been incredibly patient and super supportive and after 8 months, I think I'm finally starting to pick up again. I am unable to say for certain whether or not I will be able to maintain this constancy but I sure as heck am gonna try my best.
I also just wanna shout out to everyone who commissioned me and have been patient while I mentally try and recover. The support you guys have shown has given me determination and willpower to keep working and doing my best. Thank you guys so very much!!Hachiko 2010 - 2022
Posted 3 years agoLast night was one of the hardest nights of my life. I knew one day we would have to say goodbye but i didn't think it would be this soon.
My dog, Hachi had a very sudden decline in health since Thursday of last week. He was breathing heavy and had somewhat of a cough. It didn't raise much concern as he still had a lot of energy and didn't seem to be in distress.
And all previous vet check ups came out fine.
But last night he wouldn't stop breathing heavy. And the look he gave me was one of absolute fear and uncertainty.
So we rushed him to the vet and found out he had been suffering from severe heart failure. It was so bad that they didn't believe there was any way that they would be able to help him.
I'm absolutely shocked and devastated. My best friend of 12 years is just gone. Oh how I wish that we could have spent at least one more day together.
Hachi had such a tremendous and beautiful impact on my life. Right from the start he was a challenging dog. He wasn't like any other dog that I had met or read about. But as time went we both grew to understand eachother. I don't even know if I'd still be here today if he hadn't been by my side. He helped me through tough break ups, loss, and change. Hachi encouraged not only me but my friends to fight for what matters. Even on my darkest days, he always managed to put a smile on my face and hated seeing me upset. And Because of him I now have a home. I just wish we could have had more time....you'll forever live in my heart, and the heart of those who were greatly impacted by your light. Till we meet again....may you rest in peace Hachiko.

May Commissions OPEN and in need of some help!!

So I want to start off by thanking all of my followers for all of your support over the years because of you guys I finally got to branch out of my home and rent a place with my friends. My roommates and I have been mentally doing a lot better than we ever had in years. The place we had decided to rent belonged to my friend's mother. It was almost perfect as it is set in a nice location and my dog could finally roam free and not be confined to my small bedroom space with my parents. Not only is this location safer than most places in my area, it’s convenient for someone like me who still doesn't have a car, living in a place where public transportation isn't as accessible.
Though unfortunately in December of 2021, not even a full year of me living in our home. My friend's mother came to us informing us that she was financially drowning and had to sell the home. We had been given several options but ultimately came to the decision to buy the home off of her. This seemed like our best plan as I mentioned before, there's not a lot of safe neighborhoods in our area and moving back with our parents will only put us back in a place of trauma. We had also built up so much here that it pains us to let it go.
We have some money saved up but we are concerned that this may not be enough and we are in a bit of a time crunch making the situation a lot more stressful. So as much as it pains me to ask you guys for help, it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could chip in so that we can stay where we are, continue to grow and so that I can continue to deliver on commissions!
As a thank you, I will be doing a livestream over on my twitch account today at 6PM EST. I will guarantee sketch busts for the first 20 people who donate and comment on this post with a reference sheet! As well as playing some games with friends! Another Hiatus
Posted 4 years agoHey guys so I thought I'd update you all on my well being and commission status. After I finish this batch of commissions I'm going to take a bit of a hiatus on general commissions. I'll probably take icons and headshots. But nothing too big I completely underestimated how long it would take for me to settle into a new place, continue to manage commissions, focus on renovating and just changes in general life. I also came down with a bit of a cold last week and had a hard time relaxing because I felt so overwhelmed by how slow i've been with commissions this year. There's a lot of things I wanted to focus on such as, animation, merch ideas and a story that i'm writing and unfortunately i'm having a hard time managing it all. I really appreciate everyone's support and patience with me through all of this! So seriously thank you all and I hope you're all doing okay too.
Moved out
Posted 4 years agoHey guys! So I want to apologize for my long absence. I forgot to update you guys here on FA. But I moved in with a friend of mine and now have a much larger work space than I did before. I was hoping I'd get to go back to work sooner but I didn't anticipate the length of time it would take for me to get settled in a new enviormment as I had been living at the same place for over 16 years. My friend and I are still making a lot of changes to this old house and I cant wait to show you guys the progress when we get there but im happy to have a work space that is much more spacious than my old one. And im even more thrilled to get back to work in this new environment! Thank you guys for your patience!!

Not doing so hot
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone, I thought i'd give a little update on my mental well being. This whole year has been a back and forth of really good highs and really bad lows. I'm currently on a down swing, which is not too surprising given the time of year. November/December are really tough times for me and this year has been especially difficult with what's going on in the world right now. I'm trying my best and working through my mental turmoil but unfortunately most of my issues are currently external and I don't have much control at this current moment to change it. I will be continuing to work on commissions as normal but they may come out a little slower than usual. I greatly apologize for this inconvenience and I hope everyone is staying safe!

I meant to make a post yesterday, but a trip to the doctors that was an hour away, took a lot longer than anticipated.
I really needed that break. My mental state was a lot worse than I thought and I probably could have used more time but it was a lot of help none the less. I'm super excited to continue to make some more art. All the commissioners from my last batch were kind enough to wait so I'll be finishing these and taking another batch sometime around the end of this month. I'll make another post a few days in advance so keep an eye out!

Hiatus
Posted 5 years agoSo last night we lost power for 15 hours and during those 15 hours of sitting in the dark with no power. I decided I'm going to be taking my hiatus sooner. I will be staying as far away from social media as possible. All commissioners have been contacted. I hope to return no later than September 16th but I could come back sooner.I'm still learning what it means to self manage and its been pretty tough. I started to notice my burn out back in July but I caught it just a tad too late. There have been a lot of unexpected personal matters that have come up and made this even more tough. So I've decided I'd rather make great content that makes my commissioners happy than focus on pushing through my stress. Its a tough decision while i'm still starting out and making this a full time job for me. But its one that I think is important for me to make. I can't wait to come back with new ideas and more content. Stay safe out there guys! And thank you so much for your support.

This is not an easy time for anyone right now and I know i've been pretty quiet online when it comes to my own personal well being but 2020 has been quite the roller coaster ride and despite everything going on I've been trying to keep a brave face online. This is the first time in over 10 years of my life that i've been able to keep consistent with not only my art but my mental health as well. However, last week was a bit of a struggle. Once I've finished up this batch of commissions. I will be taking a small week or two hiatus to myself to do some self reflecting and maybe some personal art.
I hope you all can understand! I seriously can't thank all of my followers and friends for all the love and support that you guys give! I hope you guys are doing the same and remembering to take care of yourself!

Depression and AC
Posted 7 years agoHey guys so I just wanted to put an update on whats going on normally I post something every week but something happened 3 weeks ago that put me in a slump and I've been having a hard time getting out of it. Though recently sasquatch67 has come over to visit and with the help of my local friends i'm slowly coming out of it. Tomorrow Rainbowwolfy will also be coming over and we will be heading to AC so you guys wont be hearing anything from me for another week but hopefully with this trip and seeing my friends this funk i'm in will pass and I'll be back to posting some art!
Thanks again to all my friends who have been sending me messages and giving me words of encouragement I love you guys so much and another thanks to all those who've commissioned me and have been so patient. I really appreciate it!

Posted 7 years agoHey guys so just wanted to leave another update since I haven't updated anything in 4 months but first I would like to discuss my commissions.
After my que is cleared I will be holding a raffle. I will be taking 3 more commissions with my old prices, you can take a look at that here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/21906769/ after the raffle is up and I choose my winners any commissions I take from here on out will be discussed with my updated prices.
Okay now back on to life matters. So for those of you who are not aware. I lost my job about a month ago, I was debating on whether or not I wanted to try and get my job back or move on from it but since trying to decide on what I wanted to do I noticed a huge demand for my art. It was a rough decision for me but for the time being I have decided to become a full time artist. This may not be permanent as I need to be able to make enough to be able to cover my bills along with other costs. However, I always wanted to do art for a living. This gives me an opportunity to grow as an artist and while im not working on commissions or personal art I will also be practicing animation with the help of my friend khatiil. Which is also why I have made such a huge increase in my price for my artwork. I also feel I have improved a bit since 2016 and that it was bout time for an update so I hope you all understand. If things work in my favor and my art becomes more consistent I may also open up a pateron and I will also give you guys opportunities to get better deals on commissions. Expect a lot more art from me and thanks for reading! - Milo

Back from Canada!

First things first, a little while ago I finally got my passport and went to Canada with aylastardragon, triwolf90 and circuitcat along with a couple other Canadian furs! We stayed for a week camping up in fenelon falls and man was this an amazing trip! It definitely felt rejuvenating and was much needed for my mental state and I got to make new memories with great people.
Anyway, before I got home from Canada I caught a cold so I wasn't able to give a proper update until now. Now on to the topic of my art, Commissions will be opening again late Novemember! I still have a few projects to get done before then, also I will be heading to Canada again next month to see albinostag until the 10th of Novemeber. So hopefully this will give me enough time to get back into the groove of things!
I might also change prices for commissions but I will keep you guys posted on any official changes.

Posted 8 years agoFWA was probably one of the best cons I've ever gone to, sadly I only got to spend 2 days of the convention due to issues with Delta. triwolf90 and I ended up having to drop over $100 and taking a 17 hour bus ride however, I finally got to meet rainbowwolfy and sasquatch67 then eventually jellomutt which seriously made it worth it. We partied hard and met a lot of new people. But now i've got a serious case of PCD. I can't for the next con.
