Brrrr - Commissions Open!
Posted 4 years agoSo its super freaking cold in DFW right now.
My husband is going to work like normal but our internet keeps acting up so I'm unable to work right now.
I'm gonna be open for commissions cause at least our power is on so i can draw constantly.

it's the easiest way to do comms right now for me.
I may also pump out a few more adopts soon while I'm at it.

Posted 5 years agoHello Beautiful People and welcome to my first ever design contest!! I've been hunting for a new OC recently and just haven't been able to find the right one for me so I figured, why not hold a little contest?
First things first, The prize!!
I'm offering 150$ to the design I like best and want to make my baby.
Rules!!
1) Design cannot be already made. They have to be specific for this contest.
2) You may enter up to THREE (3) Designs.
3) Once the contest is over any designs that were not chosen may be sold as regular adopts.
4) Bases are acceptable as long as they are properly credited.
5) Please design with love and enjoyment.

I also rly like vaporwave/cyberpunk
I have no preference on Human/Furry/Feral. And I'm not gonna give animal preferances because I wanna see creativity abound!

Posted 5 years agoJust wanted to give an update on things.
My father passed away on the 9th, so I spent all of last week in extreme grief stricken depression, I didn't work and no one has confirmed with me about bereavement pay. so I may be out 40hrs
Loosing him also meant loosing a lot of income in the house. (like 5k)
We have until the end of September to find a new place to live. I managed to get sept's rent paid with dad's last check but we won't get anything else for months while we sort out 401ks and IRAs and stuff. And this place isn't worth it for just me and hubby, and even if I filled all three rooms the people I have wouldn't be able to make enough to keep it.
And then, Friday hubby lost his job, the store closed down, so I put house hunting on the backburner and have moved back to looking at apartments. As much as I would prefer to move into a house and it's more affordable credit scores and downpayments are butts.
We're really in a struggle. My grandmother is going to gift us a down payment whenever we find a house and are ready to put in an offer, but won't give us the money any sooner.
Luckily we borrowed from Hubby's brother to get some debt taken care of, rise back up the credit scores and reduce debt to income ratio.
but now hubby has no income, and mine just isn't enough for anything.
I need lots of good thoughts that he gets a job in the next two weeks cause that's about how long we can survive without him making good money, he qualifies for unemployment but making MAYBE 600$ a week if that MAYBE just won't get us by.
and who knows how long we'll have unemployment support from the gov.
I'm of course still and always will be open for commissions.
I'll draw anything as long as it's legal......(no baby furs no noncon no underage)
I know times are tight for everyone, but every penny counts for us right now.
I know this was a lot of ramble but grief makes your brain think weird and sometimes you just gotta get everything out.

I have a full time job again and I'm happy. I make good money and should be caught back up in bills in a few weeks where I can start commissioning and stuff again.
I've also found a new groove in my art. I've reverted back to the binary tool which I used to use all the time and I really like how it looks right now. We may try something different again in the future but that's where we're at.
As always I'm always open for Comms :'>

Struggling
Posted 6 years agoSo Im really struggling here. I hate being in this position.
I dont know if dad is going to get his bonus on this check or not. If he does we're fine, if he doesn't then he only has enough to cover rent and his portion of the phone bill.
I gotta have 100.26 for the fridge bill on the 3rd
And i only have 14.26 in my paypal and im neg 82 in my bank account right now.
I havent been to work since the beginning of the month so i dont get a paycheck this week. I go back Maybe for two days this week and then solidly on the 1st. So I'll get some sort of paycheck on the 11th that should hopefully cover most of my bills then. I know water is 205 due on the 18th, and insurance is 207 on the 16th. Im waiting on Gas and Electric.
I just, i need a little help right now, boyfriend doesnt make enough money to cover everything sadly. And I'm not a good enough artist to support us this way obviously.
I dont want donations, i want to work for money, I can draw just about anything. So if anyone could spread my adopts or my ychs or my comms I'd really appreciate it.

Life update
Posted 6 years agoWow I've never written a journal so now is a better time than ever I guess.
We're in a rough place right now. About two weeks ago we found out my dad has stage 4 lung cancer that has metastasized to his brain and his adrenals. So basically I'm on FMLA leave from work until further notice because I someone has to be home with him at all times to make sure that he has everything he needs and has someone there for when he panics or if he was to fall or something. Mom has been helping a lot but she does have her own life and her own job that she can't just take off because she's self employed doing end of life care.
So I'm working really hard on trying to get some Comms and some YCHs and maybe some adopts done so that I can have a little bit of fund coming in because boyfriend is hella freaking out about having to try and cover everything himself. I don't want to ask for donations because we're not to that point yet. Dad is still getting like 70% of his check which means that he'll still be able to cover rent and help with bills but its just not what we're used to. And we're having to change a lot of what we're buying foodwise because we need to be healthier for dad. Cause we're trying to keep him around as long as we can.
So please consider commissioning me!!
