I am not formally attending this year, as once again I am an industry guest at the Breakout game con the same weekend. However, my schedule during Breakout is pretty light and I intend to wander over to FE to visit some friends in con-adjacent space.

I find a lot of furry art offputting, ugly, generic or pointless. If I have liked your art, you are an exception. Go you!

The submission stream seems to mostly be YCH offers aimed to aggressively specific or hopelessly generic spank banks. And definitely, porn has always been a thing. Part of the point of fandom was providing a place to explore adult themes in anthro media.

However, it would be rather nice to see more world-building and narrative. Yes, I know it exists, but the signal-to-noise ratio gets worse every year.

 Koray and I are en route to California, but we are not attending Califur. Her mom had some bad health news recently. There is an outside chance we'll poke our head into conspace on the weekend, but we can't afford con badge, and wouldn't have much time to hang out in any case.

 Koray and I will be at Furnal Equinox, rooming with  QuyetPawz. I am not running any games this year. However, I am editing the con book and possibly doing a panel with  Thadiuseffingham. I might run a pick up game or somesuch. More likely just slouch about the con taking photos on hipster film cameras.
