And the radio silence too! I've been going ham at this comic since february. 274 hours across 2 months, what an adventure! I very much enjoyed it and could feel myself refining and improving as I did it! This is a direct follow up to my previous short comic also here.

Bad news is that the daily Beastar sketches will be on hold for the next couple months.

Good news is that it's because I'll be making a short comic to be printed and published around May! I'll upload an english version here, don't ya worry!

Sent the files for printing the other day and finished the english translation last night! I also got the go ahead to upload them to my galleries!

It's just a short story as I was limited to 6-8 pages, it's basically just the characters meeting, but I got ideas to continue it at a more relaxed pace.

It's temporarily and for a good reason!

The dailies take a lot of my time and between that, a full time job and well.. sleep.. they don't leave much time for anything else. For the last days it's been working, sleeping and drawing for the Pug!

Now the thing is, I've got a deadline approaching in July for a short comic (6-8 pages max) to be published in September, so I'm putting the dailies on a temporary hiatus 'till I'm done with the comic.

Pending on permissions (and it should be fine), I'll upload the comic to my galleries and will expand upon it albeit at a personal (and more leisurely) level. At the moment, I've got the characters sketched as well as three pages. Since it's for printing, at least this short story (and it's basically a character introduction) will be in B&W. Following that.. well we'll cross that bridge when and if we get there.

IT HAS MYSTERY, IT HAS ROMANCE, IT'S PACKED WITH THRILLING ACTION... just kidding, it's 6 bloody pages, I'm compressing enough shit as it is! 😂

I love the daily sketches I've been doing but they're making the navigation of my gallery kinda hard. I think I'll move everything but the most recent week to the scrap section and on sundays redo that move so that there's always the most recent 7-14 dailies on my main gallery and the rest folks can check out on the scrap section.

Also I have my gallery folders organised by years, but maybe I should create a folder just for the Beastar dailies.🤔

For those of you who don't know, since late august I've been doing daily sketches on a notebook for practice. A wee bit more than a month ago, I started doing daily Beastar sketches and folks been liking it on twitter so since I'm on vacation, I'm gonna upload them here.

Sup everyone, decided to participate for the first time in Drawtober this year. To that end I started practicing a couple days ago (the first images are brutish because I had just gotten new inking pens and wanted to try them out), especially since that Twiggy ref sheet pic made me want to improve my line work. I have been (and will be ) uploading the sketches to my twitter account, but I'm not sure if it will be worth it to upload it here to my scraps area.

In any case I feel it will be a good way to improve not only my line work, but also composition, sketching, speed and above all, stylisation which is something I've severely struggled with.

Sup folks, Pug here with the comings and goings on the House of Pug. Been studying heavily some artists whose works I really admire, trying out new approaches to everything, especially sketching and BG design. The results were better than I expected to the point that the pic I'm currently on that was supposed to only be a first trial run just to get my feet wet, is actually gonna end up as a full blown pic once I'm done. I got a sketch going with 4 hours only, did a rough background and established the colour palette in 2 hours and did the flats + rendering of two of the characters within 3 hours. I still need to practice this method to truly make it my own, but it's showing great promise so far.

The pic in question is Animal Crossing fanart, and I currently have Mabel, Kicks and KK Slider, and I'm adding more characters, as well as refining the BG some more.

Besides that, been working on some OC stuff whose sketches are up on my scraps, and been playing New Horizon as well.

That's about it for the Pug for the time being, will upload the pic once it's done. Ya'll stay safe now.

Aight folks, so I’m sketchin’ a pokemon pic and one of my ideas involves an energy attack of sorts. My question is, what sort of energy or beam attacks exist in pokemon? I remember out of the top of my head Hyper Beam and Solar Beam.

The idea is having two of the characters withstanding the attack while the third is hopping from behind to counterattack.

I say energy ‘cause it’s flashy, but really it can be anything else. Tell me yer ideas.

Sup folks Pyramid here one year older now. Just woke up, did the social obligations and now got the night to m'self. Actually got the night off for my birthday for the first time in years #feelsgoodman

Gonna be a wild night of reckless abandon.. by which I mean I'll put on my robe, have some cake (apple crumble, my fav) and play games or watch a movie. Pic wise, been doing some research on stores, trying to get the pic too look more lively and believable. Kinda tricky 'cause I risk obscuring some of the characters.

On a side note, bit of Zootopia pondering... okay so Judy was the first bunny cop, reason being her size, the first part of the movie revolves around that, but that got me wondering.. if there's a unified police in Zootopia comprised solely of large animals (untill Judy and later Nick) of which the smallest are wolves, then that means there's no police in Little Rodentia as they are too big to effectively operate there (even Judy has problems). Despite that, Rodentia is portrayed as being a rather peaceful and happy place. My theory is that Mr. Big keeps a tight grip on things there making it a mafia controlled block. This actually has RL parallels as organised crime usually pops up when the local law enforcement is ineffectual or can't be trusted. It also makes me raise an eyebrow as Mr. Big orders Judy and Nick to be killed right in front of them and Judy ignores it for the rest of the movie and conversely Judy who is the rising star of Zootopia P.D. ends up getting some deep connections with the most powerful crime family in the city (she does the proverbial "kiss the ring and gets invited to the daughter's wedding even).

Mind you this ain't a critic, I love Zootopia and especially Mr. Big. "I'll take your kindness and pay it forward" is both one of the most badass promise and chilling threat at the same time. These are just shower thoughts tho I'm curious if they'll ever explore the implications of it in a future movie.

Finally got around to watch Zootopia and am completely smitten with the movie, loved everything about it and even ordered some miniatures lol. I have the art book but hadn’t had the chance to see the movie untill a couple of days ago.

That pretty much made me choose my next pic, gonna be a crossover between Zootopia and Animal Crossing which has led me to an interesting dillema. Size difference is essential in Zootopias character design but in Animal Crossing they’re all roughly the same size. This is gonna be interesting to tackle!

Sup folks, PP here hoping for a quiet night at work so I can get some drawing done (‘cause last night was rather crappy due to drunk people. Was a reafirmation of why I don’t drink if anything).

Haven’t actually decided on the next pic, so I’m bouncing ideas at the moment. Potential prospects include winter/christmas stufff, fanart for a streamer I enjoy watching, or perhaps of Animal Crossing or Android Assault Cactus (been playing that game lately).

Of lately I’ve been into spy fiction (currently reading Le Carre’s Night shift manager), but yesterday I came upon a series I’m enjoying quite a bit. It’s a novelization called the Joker game which had a manga and anime adaptation, that has hit all the right spots with me! I’m currently reading the manga. Maybe its because I’m an idiot, but I really dig cunning characters and stories, I can’t help but look up to them.

A streamer once nicknamed me that after my initials and I took it up as a moniker when I wanna be creepy lol. The name Pyramid Pug also came about the same way actually, with a friend of mine photoshoping Pyramid Heads.. head.. onto a pug and called me that, because I use pugs as avatars and reactions alot and am a great Silent Hill fan. These are the best kinds of nicknames IMO, given by others with a sense of humor.

Anywho, sup folks, welcome to my page. After some tought I made the decision of splitting my SFW stuff since some folks aren’t entirely confortable with interacting with nsfw accounts (well not that that happens here on FA, but still). So this will be an entirely family friendly gallery.

On one hand I’m a bit relunctant to split stuff since my output is already atrocious, but on the other I’ve been wanting to dedicate myself some more to sfw stuff. Hope ya lot enjoy it!
