Winter Wonderbowl Pre Party!!

and I have decided to throw a party the night before! If you are planning on attending the meet then you are very welcome to come to our house the night before and party hardy!
Where: 7930 Perry St Cincinnati, OH 45231
When: Saturday January 17th, 7PM - the meet the following day
Why: Do I need a reason to have a party?

This is an 18+ party!! Sorry jail bait :/ If you plan on drinking any alcohol you must be 21+ NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are planning on drinking or you are coming from out of town, Grix and I have some crashing space available. We have a couple couches, a pull out couch, recliner, and plenty of floor space for any air mattresses/sleeping bags. If you are planning on spending the night please let me know ahead of time so we know what to expect.
If you would like to bring anything it would be much appreciated. Food, drinks, alcohol (grix and I have a little but we dont really drink so BYOB), air mattresses and games are what you should bring. Fursuits are certainly welcome and encouraged!

Facebook sucks!
Posted 11 years agoSo I try to log in only to find that facebook has disabled my account. The reason being that I was not using my real name. This is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. Why do I NEED to use my real name. I don't have to use my real name on any other site, but on facebook, you NEED a first and last name. On twitter I can make my handle be anything I want. On steam I can make my handle whatever I want. Facebook and its trends are ruining the internet.
The internet is a place where I can be whatever the hell I want to be. If I want to pretend i'm a red panda, fuck you for trying to stop me. Removing the anonymity of the internet will have dire consequences. It creates this obsession of having to know exactly who a person is and what they're doing at all times, but really it's about money. Give facebook your real name so they can have ads targeted straight at you; so they know exactly where you live and can shove ads down your throat from the local pizza place that's having a sale.
Even if you don't list personal info on your facebook, all I need is your name to find out everything about you. Pretty soon you'll be receiving ads in the mail because you happened to go fetishzone.net using your real name. Facebook removes the mystery of discovery by telling you everything you would want to know about a person without even leaving your house.
Facebook's is changing the way people are allowed to use the internet. That, plus bills like Net Nuetrality, are going to take away everything that makes the internet great.

The definition of awkward
Posted 12 years agoSo recently I came out to my father about being gay. Pretty much everyone else knows and he was the last one to tell. Now he is an older guy and is very religious and conservative, so naturally I was a bit scared to tell him. Eventually I worked up the courage and told him. He seemed pretty shocked, to say the least, but we talked a bit and I guess he was OK with it.
Jump forward to yesterday. He calls me up and asks if I wanted to go get lunch. Sure. Sounds great. So we eat lunch and he says he wants to ask me a few question that might be uncomfortable. I said "OK shoot". Now my Dad knows that I am mated to but has not met him yet. Recently we moved in together and he wanted to come and meet Grix and see the new place. Sure dad, that sounds like a good idea. So this is where things got a little weird. He starts asking me about being gay. "When did you know?" "Have you ever liked girls?" Stupid stuff like that. Then he looks at me, stonefaced, and says "DOES HE DOMINATE YOU?" I was floored. I had know idea how to respond to that. "Yea Dad. He's really good at being a top. We do switch it up every now and then." Now I know what he really meant to ask, Grix is older than I and he was concerned about that I guess, but still, very poorly phrased.
So that put a weird feeling on the rest of the day.

Looking for an Artist
Posted 14 years agoHey so this is my first Journal ever. I don't do this stuff. But I think that this community would be the best resource so... here it goes:
I have been playing a lot of D&D lately with a few friends and were getting kind of into it. I am looking for an artist to commission a piece of one or more of our characters. I would be looking for an "anime-like" style. This artist needs to be able to draw high quality anime humans and fantasy races (i.e. elves, dwarfs, etc.). An artist that does coloring is a big plus. Let me know in the comments of any artists.
