Furry Meme Thing
Posted 16 years ago*Are you a furry?
- I'm interested in anthropamophic art and I enjoy talking to people on the internet who share that same affinity
*If you have a Spouse/SO - Is he/she a furry too?
- Pssh, I'm not married
*How long have you been in the community?
- Errr, been looking at stuff since I was like.... 13-ish, its so easy to click the 'yes I'm over 18' button, but I've only been active on a few forums for less than a year
*How did you find furry?
- To put it simpily, Porn
*What's your reason for furry (what interested you to get into the community)?
Well, I've always thought animals were cool, but more the thought of free porn was really nice ^^ But I would also have to say some the high level art is just beautiful, and its full of a bunch of interesting, and generaly open and accepting people
*What's Furry to you?
- Bluntly, anything that someone wants to call a furry
*What are your favorite aspects of our community?
- Its a close call between the people and, er, well, yeah ^^''
*Do you use any furry terms? (i.e. yiff, paws, murr?)
- When I'm talking to other people in the fandom, sure I do, but with people outside, not a snowball's chance in hell
*What do you wish furry was NOT associated with?
- Zoophilia
*How strongly do you feel about someone bashing the community as a whole?
- To be honest, I couldn't give a rats ass. Because the only people who ash the fandom have no real standing in the world. And I think it some cases, they make points. A lot of the 'Furrsecution' claims are mostly just furries being stupid. But that's just me
*How strongly do you feel about anyone bashing you yourself for your interest based on the media's aspect of what furry is?
-Well only three people that I know irl know aout me being a furry. I have a few friends who bash it every now and then, but I just roll my eyes because its not a conflict worth fighting over
*We all know furries have alot of sexual aspects in this fandom, What's your opinion on it?
-Sex sells. End of story
Personal
*What is/are your fursona(s)?
- A Jaguar thing
*Do you have any fetishes that pertain to the fandom?
- Maybe a thing or two, but you would have to ask me personally about that -.^
*If you could magically morph into your fursona would you?
- Only if the rest of the world did it too, I'm a sheep, what can I say ^^
*Do you believe you have a spirit animal?
- Errr, does myself count?
*What other fanbases/groups are you a part of?
- None, I do parkour, maybe thats a group? I'm also and Eagle Scout and I'm highly active with Boy Scouts, and that stuff is about as freaky as furries
*Anthro/Feral, Therian or Kemonomimi (Not a furry, just a human with animal ears and a tail)?
- We'll go with Anthro
*Are you a fursuiter? If yes, how many do you own? If No, do you ever plan on being a suiter?
- No, and never plan on it. I have better things to waste my cash on. And if I need to sweat a lot I can just go for a jog. And my state is plenty humid already.
*How many of your friends are furry?
- Turns out one guy I know is a furry, but I didn't know that until a few days ago
*How many pets do you own, if any?
- One kitty, used to be two T.T
*Aside from furry what other interests do you have?
- Parkour! Being a boyscout, being outside, swimming, diving
*Are you confident enough in yourself to say that you're a fur, no matter what the media says?
- Depends on what you mean. I'm not going to go out and proclaim to everyone I meet that I'm a furry because, well, that doesn't do anything productive, nor do I feel like its important. I don't expect other people to come up and explain to me their sexual fantasies, nor do I go around telling other people mine. Its just common decency. But if someone were to ask me directly about it, then sure, I'd tell em. Nothing to be ashamed of really.
Meetups
*Do you attend any cons? If no, would you attend any cons?
If yes, which cons have you been to?
- Nope, haven't been to one. I feel like if I did it would only be to go to meet up with other people I know who were going to them. But I also feel like I'd be scared out of the fandom if I ever did that.
*Do you go to local meetups(bowling, public outings...etc)?
- Haven't yet
*Have you ever attended a furry party?
- Can't say that I have
Online
*Have you ever met up with a fur you talked to online?
-Once, but to be fair I met him before I talked to him online
*What furry websites do you attend?
- FA, ystar, thats about it
*What non furry websites do you frequent?
- errrr... www.urmom.com
*Has the fandom done anything for you that you're thankful for? Has it taught you anything or brought you anything you treasure greatly?
- Yeah, its let me meet a lot of people, some crazy, some pretty level headed. Its taught me that people over react WAY too much and sometimes its best to move slowly through life. More than anything though, its let me be open in ways I wouldn't have Been before

Eagle Scout
Posted 16 years agoSo, for those of you who don't know, I'm a boy scout
Big shocker I know. And let me tell you tonight I finally finished something that started back when I was 6 years old, and through out the last 12 years of my life I have finally accomplished the goal I set of for so long ago.
Needless to say I'm a little proud of myself, and I that I have a good reason to be.
For all of those who don't know what it takes to be an eagle here is a synopsis of what someone has to do before achieving the rank.
-Participate actively in a unit for a MINIMUM of 3 years, and while being involved you must hold 18 moths of an elected position
-Achieve 21 merit badges, including the 11 required badges
-These badges include, Camping, Hiking/Swimming/Cycling, Lifesaving/Emergency Preparedness, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Personal Management, Personal Fitness, Family Life, Environmental Science, First Aid, and then ten elected badges
-Provide over 100 hours of community service
-Organize, and lead a public works project that benefits the community while requiring a minimum of 100 man hours of labor
-And to have completed all of these tasks, plus more, before you turn 18
And regardless of how you view scouting, I understand its not perfect or anywhere near it, but what being an Eagle scout is takes so much dedication it is hardly something you can scoff at.
And I just got it
12 Years in the scouting program, and 7 years in Boy Scouts, and finally, it came to a peak tonight.
I'm proud of myself ^^

15 Truths thing
Posted 16 years agoOk, so someone tagged me in one of these, and I'm really really bored, so away we go
1) I am in fact NOT the real Slim Shaddy, so I will remain seated, thank you very much
2) I wish my life was like the song 5:15 by The Who, if you haven't heard it, there is hope for you yet, if you don't know who The Who are, then I fear you may be lost to the abyss
3) I am a BOYSCOUT!!!! I know, freaky, that being said I love the program and despite its the stereotypes I can say that they are only true most of the time.
4) I have an unusual fascination with this emocon ^^ and I use it way to much for my own good, please don't hate me
5) I also giggle way to much
6) I'm also and Eagle Scout, woot for me ^^ see there I go again with that damn face....
7) I preform blood rituals and ancient indian ceremonies while preforming the ritualistic duties of a native american medicine man, ask me for information
8) I have a thing with the word love, so if you say you love me, don't hate me if I don't say it back, it just holds a certain reverence with me, I'm weird I know....
9) I lack enough creative intuition, so I often resort to quoting songs or poems in order to express myself, and I like to think that makes me cool, but it really doesn't ><
10) I try very hard to be nice to people, and for some reason, people think I do a good job with that
11) I'm a diver, er, was a diver in high school, apparently I was good enough at faking it that I got my way into the state meet. That being said I placed 29th in that meet
12) I can, with straight legs, put my chin against my shins, but then the ground gets in the way T.T and no, that doesn't mean I can do THAT
13) In the same way that I faked my way through diving in high school, I try to fake myself through doing parkour/freerunning, but like diving I'm only faking it
14) I live in a mitten, for realz, anyone who doesn't get that reference makes me cry a little on the inside
15) My favorite number is 7, on that tangent my seventh truth is probably my weirdest one I have
As a final note, I'm a very open person. Feel free to ask me anything. I have opinions that I will share, but I am always open to new views on things, so don't be afraid to tell me how you feel about something.
Fuzzy, I demand you do one of these also, because I do. I would tag someone in this, but I legitimately don't know how to do anything on this site, someone help me.....
.... please.....

Influences
Posted 16 years agoInfluences on me
Throughout my life there have been various individuals who have deeply affected me. Some have shown me new ways to think about things, while others have taught me how to act. Some of them are cliché historical figures while others have thought me interesting lessons that they could not have intended to teach. But all of them have influenced me in untold ways, and this is my homage to them.
The first person that I will recognize is Dr. Theodor Geisel, or as he is more commonly known, Dr. Seuss. From a young age my nights were filled with his simple children’s stories. Sadly, I fell asleep through a majority of them, something I will never forgive myself for. But time after time my mind was filled with wonder by simple words that were nothing short of entertaining. And this is the first lesson that I learned from Seuss, you don’t need to waste your breath producing large complex images in order to be entertaining. This man made an entire book that not only made sense, but taught a pretty good lesson as well, using less than 400 words. Not only that, but he did it a second time using far fewer.
Now that I’m a full grown, and I use that term lightly because I have yet to cease my development, both physically, mentally, and metaphorically, but I’ve seen the deep meaning in some of his later work. With books like The Butter Battle, or Yurtle the Turtle, The Lorax, The Sneetches, or even Horton Hears a Who, he conveyed deep and powerful meanings while keeping the same simple format. He included absolute nonsense in these works, often creating words just to form a convenient rhyme, but never did his work lose any bit of its power or meaning. The second lesson I learned from Seuss was that you do not need to use large words that are only used to impress people in order to be effective in writing something that means something. That sometimes the simplest route is often the best.
Yet another thing that I discovered from the good doctor was that you can change your ways. As I grew older, once again I loosely use that term to describe myself; I discovered that before he wrote such literary classics, and I do mean that, as The Lorax, Dr. Seuss wrote racist propaganda aimed at defacing the Japanese people throughout the Second World War. But with the war’s end, Seuss seemed to completely change his life; he abandoned his old ways and put his cartooning skills to write children’s books. Once again, this amazing man taught me that people can change and that all you need to do is refocus your efforts and you can take something bad and create something good.
Other lessons learned from Seuss
-Always rhyme, it makes your work sound better
-Never be afraid to keep it simple
-Making up words is fun
-Various other life lessons ranging from equality and level headedness to conservation and global politics
Anyways, I plan to keep this as an ongoing thing, posting it whenever I have the urge to type something like this, I have a few more thought out in my mind. Up on the list are Shel Silberstein, The Transcendentalists, and many more.
