Not Going to Anthrocon this year by the way
General | Posted 11 years agoI think I said this somewhere at some point, but I won't be going to Anthrocon this year for the first time since I started going way back in 2008. Combination of not having enough money and
immelmann not going either. So unfortunately, if this is your first AC and you were hoping to meet one of us or buy things from us, we won't be there this time. :c Sorry.
If you'd like to buy things from us, though, you can feel free to look through our Store page that we still have: http://www.concessioncomic.com/store/ You can order everything we'd have had at a table anyway from there and have it mailed right to you. If you were just hoping to see me/him/us, well, maybe next year.
Everybody have fun though! :V
(Still taking donations at http://pitchinbox.com/pages/9289583519 if you'd like to help me out, thank you in advance, everybody has been really awesome so far!)

Donation Update 6, Almost Broke Yaaay
General | Posted 11 years agoWell, I didn’t think I’d need to continue this, but I guess I do.
Okay, so, since January… Well, my mom’s car has been fixed for a while and has been running relatively okay for the past few months. She’s been using it fine. However… since then, around my birthday, my own car’s starter has become in need of repair/replacement. The issue was that the battery was getting drained, so eventually it would stop trying to start. Using jumper cables causes it to start, but it would eventually just die again later. We thought it might be the battery itself, since it was old, but we’ve since gotten it replaced with a new one and it still has the problem, meaning it’s the starter draining the battery. I requested my birthday present from my dad to be for him to pay to replace it, but he hasn’t really talked about it with me at all, so I’ll need to talk to him about that really soon so I can go get employed, which I need to do really, really quickly.
Despite all your incredibly, incredibly way-too-much donations, I am now incredibly near the red as far as my available funds go. I feel incredibly guilty and ashamed that, even though you guys have given so much, that I’m near that point still. Things just keep coming up to pull more and more money away, and because these things are often car-related in some way or another, I still haven’t been able to feel secure in finding a job I can actually get to. And I also accept plenty of personal blame, as I’ve gotten lazy concerning commissions and other possible money-making ventures that could help bandage the huge figurative wound I have now, but I’ve been scared enough to get off my ass and start doing that immediately.
So, what I ask of you now makes me feel really bad, but I’d appreciate any spare change you guys have to help me delay as long as possible, until I can get my starter for my car fixed and I can finally go find a job. I feel like a heel and a beggar, and it really sucks, but you have to do what you have to do to not… get in super-trouble with debt and bills and food and stuff. So spread the word if you can, help out if you really can, and I promise that by summer’s end I’ll be able to turn off this stupid donation widget once and for all (or else I will really be fucked no matter what).
Thank you,
QD.

Attention Long-Waiting Commissioners!

Hey, I'm really sorry about the extremely long wait you've been going through, but I'm going to try and pick up and finish the things you ordered a long time ago as quick as I can this month.
The important thing though is to please let me know if you still want your commission (if you don't remember it, I can remind you). If so, you can feel free to alter it in some way or just have me go ahead. If not, let me know and I'll take you off the list, but give you special line-cutting abilities next time I offer commissions.
So let me know either here or via note or email or whatever. Thanks!

General | Posted 11 years agoFurthia High didn't get nominated for an Ursa Major Award this year. :B Which is fine, I didn't push it or anything and other people who did get nominated simply want it way more than I do at this point. So no worries about voting for me or anything this year.
I just wish they'd send me my award plaque for 2011. >:T Still haven't gotten it for 2 years now, despite a couple emails and even giving the award presenter at Anthrocon last year my address. Bwargh.

Friend's Chibi Commission Sale for Computer Repairs!
General | Posted 11 years ago
paranoidnikki is currently having some computer troubles and she doesn't have the money to repair them at this moment (The current issue as I understand is either the power jack needing fixing/replacing or the power cord and adapter; she isn't sure which but either costs money), so she's doing a sale on her chibi commissions to try and raise some funds before she's left without a computer.http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5595173/ She's currently selling chibi commissions at $5 a character.
So please check her out, get a couple cute and quick little drawings of your character(s), and help her get her computer back to a more secure place. Thanks!

2013 Ursa Major Awards Nominations Open, vote for FH maybe
General | Posted 12 years ago(Preface: Just so you know, I am still currently taking donations at my PitchIn page here: http://pitchinbox.com/pages/9289583519 I think by now you're aware why, but my previous journal here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5466967/ explains the current situation. Thank you in advance again to any donators!)
So I completely forgot about the 2013 Ursa Major Awards, and nominations have been open for two weeks. Luckily the nomination period doesn't end until the end of the month, so there's still time to kinda sorta pimp Furthia High out for people to nominate and vote for.
http://www.ursamajorawards.org/nominations/ So as with all the previous years, enroll for a voting key at the page linked, insert the key you get from your email, and nominate whoever in whatever categories, including Furthia High if you'd like (put it in the Graphic Story category since that's what it's always been). I don't really care about winning anymore, but I do like tio try to be nominated every year, so if we can achieve that, I'd be pretty happy!
So nominate and spread it around, nomination period ends on the 28th and I'll let you know when voting time is if Furthia High gets nominated. Thanks!

Donation Update 5 (pretty important, help out maybe?)
General | Posted 12 years agoAlright, well, this isn't really something I wanted to do but it's an actual request from my mom, so... I guess I'll openly ask for donation help again instead of what I said last time where I wouldn't really actively ask anymore.
So the guy fixing my mom's transmission finally got around to it a month and a half later, and the total price is apparently going to be $650, more than what was originally estimated (and also like 2 or 3 months after it should've been done). This is combined with the fact that we still don't have water due to the pipes bursting two weeks ago, that my mom's toes are still kinda on and off on being wounded and healing (the really bad second toe has mostly healed but has started getting some spots on top, the third toe is still kinda bad, and the fourth toe is actually starting to go kinda bad) and she still not having insurance, and our food stamp amount having been reduced by around $70 per month this year because my mom makes like $100 a month too much now or some kinda bullshit like that.
So this is a lot of bad stuff and it's stressful and blah blah blah. So I guess with all this I again will ask for support. The PitchIn page is -=HERE=-, if you can donate something to help, I'd really appreciate it. And I can't stress enough how much help everyone has been over the past few months, I'm both extremely happy about how many people could help me and my mom out in these rather bad times and also extremely embarrassed that I have to keep asking for the help. I really hope this is the final stretch with this, since now that dumb car's transmission will finally be repaired and I can then actually maybe find some place to work at so I can be somewhat financially comfortable and not panhandling all the time.
Again, thank you to everyone who's helped me out so far, and thank you in advance to anyone who helps out again or for the first time. You've helped in so many ways and I dunno if I can ever repay that except by saying thanks over and over. I hope things will go better soon with your help cause things have been shitty and getting shittier for a while.
Thanks again and sorry.

Other sites and I guess also Donation Update 4 or whatever
General | Posted 12 years agoOkay, well, first off, I'm not going anywhere or changing anything or whatever because I really don't have the time or luxury of caring at all about whatever's going on around here, and I guess I have "opinions" but I think it's such a non-issue that they're not even worth mentioning. BUT, for those I guess bailing or whatever, I'm on other sites:
http://quetzadrake.deviantart.com/
https://inkbunny.net/quetzadrake
https://www.weasyl.com/~quetzadrake
https://quetzadrake.sofurry.com
I pretty much upload to them exactly what I upload here, except DA doesn't get adult art and SoFurry doesn't get FH updates. If you're on one of those and for whatever reason wanna follow me over there, by all means go for it.
Now, uh, I guess since it's been like 2 and a half months I guess I should give another update on the whole donation thing and my financial situation and all that. I'll be brief instead of assailing you all with big paragraphs, and I'll start off by saying once again, THANK YOU for everybody who's donated any amount of money in the past few months, seriously and legitimately, you've been helping to keep me from going insane and bankrupt and I dunno where I'd be right now without your help, I mean that.
Now, lessee, from my last update... well, I got a new hard drive a while ago and I've been on that for a while with no HD issues. I've had a few other issues here and there, computer freezing up once or twice minorly and some general lag issues, probably due to the aging CPU and fan and all that other stuff, but these aren't big emergencies by any means and they'll get remedied when I have actual income.
Car-wise, my old car was sold about a month ago for $300, so that's been sitting in my wallet for the eventual mom's-car's-transmission-fixing payment. We took her car over to a guy to get it fixed, but he said he wouldn't be able to get to it until this month probably. He hasn't gotten to it still at this point (perhaps due to that recent polar thing), so I'm still waiting on that and my car is still being used, hence no job hunting still yet for me. Hopefully this'll get done rather soon...
As for other bills and crap that's happened: my mom's toes' skin got severely injured, leading to infection (very dangerous for a diabetic), leading to a ER visit that amounted to basically just a several-hour-long $600 antibiotic IV drip since she's uninsured. Not sure how that's gonna get paid but I guess we'll see, who knows. Also, the polar vortex caused a pipe under our house to burst, meaning we have no water output anywhere now. Dunno when we're getting that fixed either. And there's probably more minor stuff but bleh, whatever.
I guess that wasn't very brief probably, but whatever. Anyway, y'know, I'm not really gonna directly ask much anymore (unless something REALLY dire comes up or something), but if you wanna pitch in and help me out or whatever, the PitchIn page is still active and stuff. Anything helps, but I'm really sick of begging after so long, even if things keep going kinda worse, so yeah.
Anyway, uh, yeah, that's about it I think. Other sites, don't care about dumb things here because too busy caring about dumb things in own real life, etc. etc.

Emergency Donation Drive Update 3 Pretty Important to Read
General | Posted 12 years agoAlright, update about a month after the last. Since the last update, only one person's donated, but it was a $100 donation so of course I'm very grateful to them, thank you for putting in as late as this, it really helped. And again, to the other 10 people who donated before, thank you once more. I would've been in a much worse situation monetarily right now had you not been so gracious.
Alright, well, firstly the hard drive. Like I said last time, I CHKDSK /f'd it a few times at the end of September and that seemed to get rid of mmmost problems... for a few weeks, anyway. Two weeks ago on Saturday morning, the laptop's fan started making a lot of noise before it froze up again and the hard drive became unreadable for a bit. I spent that Saturday disassembling and reassembling the laptop in order to clean all the hair and dust out of it, and after putting everything back together, the hard drive booted up and everything seemed to be okay (and slightly better, it being clean and all now).
However, pretty much exactly a week after that and one week ago from today, the hard drive once again froze up, this time making a pretty big racket beforehand, clicking loudly and such, which is pretty telltale "I'm really getting to the failing point here" signs. I managed to boot it up after a while and ran another CHKDSK /f, and since then it's been kind of intermittent about being good and being iffy (I ran yet another CHKDSK /f this morning just kind of out of fear and precaution). I don't think I'll be able to wait on this for much longer unfortunately and I'll have to buy a new drive sooner than I thought. It's not hugely expensive, but it's a cost that I could've really done without at this point in time.
Now for car-related things. I mentioned before that what might happen was a loan from my father to fix my mother's car's transmission, but unfortunately he doesn't have the money to do even that. So... I'm going to have to pay it, because neither me nor my mother are going to ever be able to save up enough after having to spend all our money on bills and debts, so we have to get the thing fixed now as opposed to just letting our funds dwindle more and more until we really won't be able to fix it and we'll be stuck.
I'm on the cusp of selling my old car still, the title was being stored at my father's house and he finally found it, so that'll be $300 extra from that to help make the transmission cost not so painful. The earliest the transmission can be fixed is the 14th, so around then, that significant chunk of my remaining funds will be taken out ($300-$500). It is after this point, when my mother finally can drive her own car and I'll be able to use my own new one, that I'll finally be able to start looking for a job, and hopefully get this stressful situation to die down by 2014.
So to close, again, I'm really thankful to everyone who has donated in the past month and a half, I wouldn't even have the money to fix any cars or hard drives or anything had you not helped me out, and I still feel crummy that I had to ask. However, I could still use some more help for this hopefully-final stretch in my financial crisis, so if you have any spare cash you can dump on me, that'd be amazing of you, or if you know anyone who can help out, please tell them about it. Unfortunately I'm pretty full on commissions, so while I wouldn't necessarily mind if you want to be put on the long queue for one of those, I'd prefer at this point if you wanna help out to donate instead at the moment.
Once more, thanks to everybody who donated, thanks to those who will donate, and hopefully I'll be able to end this crap soon.

Emergency Donation Drive Update 2
General | Posted 12 years agoAlright, let's have an update after 2 weeks since the last one. Since then, another 5 people have helped raise an additional ~$400, which is really amazing and has helped an incredible amount, and I am eternally grateful for you guys, seriously. It's helped me to stay out of the danger zone these past few weeks and I'm very thankful.
So, firstly, the hard drive scare seems to have been resolved for the moment. I was done backing things up and was ready to give in and buy a new hard drive... but someone on Twitter graciously reminded me that Chkdsk and other hard drive diagnostic tools exist, which I forgot about. :B So I ran Chkdsk a few times as thoroughly as possible, and since then, hard drive issues seem to have vanished for the most part. It still seems to lag every so often when saving things sometimes, and I'm fairly sure bad sectors still exist on the HD itself, but for the moment, I believe it's alright to leave it for now and buy a replacement in the future when I can actually comfortably afford it.
The transmission on my mom's car has yet to be fixed still and we're still unsure as to how we're going to pay to fix it. My mom can't get loans due to bad credit, and I'm fairly sure I would be unable to as well due to being unemployed. I may look into credit cards (I'm 25 and somehow avoided needing them until this moment I guess), but likely what will happen will be a loan from my father, if he can even afford that. We're not even sure of the cost yet, though it will probably be around $500 since that's what it would've cost to fix my old car.
Speaking of which, I am finally getting rid of the old car I've had sitting in front of my house for a year that had its transmission near-death last year. I've been putting it off for a long time but, well, I guess it's become necessary. I've just decided to scrap it for the moment and I'll be getting maybe $300 for it. Far cry from what I paid for it, but I guess that's what happens to cars. I'll miss it, considering it took me to my apartment at my school for half a year, it took me to one or two Anthrocons, a Youmacon, and my first (and only, now) FCN. It was a really good car and it's a shame it died so early (else I really wouldn't have been having any of these issues, really).
Finally, most of your donations and such have actually been going into overdue bills such as electricity and phone and such. My mom's actually pretty badly in debt to the point that she has to get her credit cards all consolidated, so I've been trying to pick up the slack so we don't get our power or phone or whatever turned off. Your donations have been helping with those huge debts, so I'm very thankful that I have friends and fans out there who can help.
I guess I'll close by saying that I encourage you to continue helping out, whether that's by donation, big or small, or by spreading the word. I hesitate to advertise commissions at the moment, simply from the fact that I have about 15 waiting to be made, but if you don't mind a wait and want to be put in the queue, I encourage you to head to my FA or some other art site and check out my commission price guide to contact me about it (make sure you read it thoroughly! I only accept payments from you once your sketch is done!). If you'd like to help immediately and that's all you wanna do, though, by all means donate instead!
Thanks again to those who have helped out already, it means a lot to me, and I'm extremely lucky that there's people out there willing to help a guy like me.

Emergency Donation Drive Update 1 READ PLEASE :c
General | Posted 12 years agoAlright, after a week or so, 5 very generous people have donated to reach 11% of the goal I created, and I am extremely grateful to them. Thank you so much for your donations, I very, very much appreciate them and you've helped alleviate stress at least a little bit.
However, several things have happened in the week since I've posted this that I should bring up.
One, we've discovered that, while the muffler got fixed on my mother's car, it turns out her transmission is going out. It's kind of funny in that it's breaking in the complete opposite way my own previous car's transmission did: my car's transmission has to really force itself to switch gears, while my mother's car's transmission immediately revs up to 3 on the tachometer. Regardless... I'm not really sure what this means for the immediate future. This isn't an easy or cheap fix like the muffler was, really. Transmission repair/replacement costs quite a lot, $200 and far beyond at least. We don't really have the funds to fix it right now, so as far as I can see, my mom has to drive my current car to go to work, leaving me without a vehicle still to go to my own hypothetical future job.
Now, the other thing is that, this morning, my hard drive started to futz up. It froze, and afterward the computer could not read that the hard drive was there, giving a "Boot Disk Not Found" error every time I tried to boot it up. This is most likely the hard drive starting to fail, which it's done in the past but hasn't done for quite a long time, so I assumed the issue had resolved itself back then. I was finally able to boot into Windows this evening, and I began to back up all my irreplaceable files and programs, but it did freeze once again during this. I managed to reboot into Windows on the first try, thankfully, but this could very well mean I need to buy a new hard drive, which will cost another $70-100 of my dwindling remaining funds at least.
So, with these two new things happening, I have to again implore you to help out if you can. Tell others, pass this around, donate anything you might have on you. The car is one thing, but the hard drive probably needing to be replaced is especially important, since without a computer, I'm unable to make any money at all as I wouldn't be able to draw any commissions (not to mention Furthia High). Any money you might be able to give out would both help me out a ton and also make me incredibly grateful and more relaxed about my stressful situation.
So again, thank you to those who've already donated, you've done so much, but everything seems to kinda be breaking and going down at once, so if you can, please help me out. Thank you.

Commissions Still Open, Emergency Donation Drive PLEASE READ
General | Posted 12 years agoAlright, so, first off, I want to remind everyone that I am still open for commissions! Information such as how to get one and how much they cost can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11150360/ I'd really appreciate if you'd pick one up if you've been wanting one. The waiting list has become comparatively short to what it was when I opened, so please feel free to inquire! I've been using the funds raised each month through them to pay my student loans every month.
Which brings me to my next point, which I didn't really want to do, but...
Well, turns out I have to ask for help again. Like last year, I'm afraid I have to ask for donations again to keep me from financial hardship and debt. I was really hoping to avoid having to do this again, especially after the generosity of those from last time, but... well, I guess it can't be helped now.
Last year, I asked for donations because my mother hadn't had a job for several months and bills were becoming so late that we got an eviction notice and we were both stressed and desperate. Thanks to a bunch of you, though, I was able to avoid debt (turns out, without your help, I'd've had -$500 in my bank account by the end), and for that I am still incredibly grateful, and I had sworn to myself that I wouldn't ask for help again... but...
Well, I guess I'll start that during September last year, my initial car's transmission broke down and it's been sitting outside my house ever since, since it isn't worth paying to fix. For a long time afterward, I simply had no car, and thus couldn't go search for a job. However, at some point around then, my mother finally was able to secure a job, and has been working there since, so money troubles were alleviated for a while. I was finally able to get a car at the end of May this year, and I planned on finally looking for a job after Anthrocon...
...however, after returning from AC, my mother's car unexpectedly started having troubles. They started to add up, until finally her muffler fell off and has been sitting at a client's home since late July. Thus, my mother has had to drive my car to do her job, leaving me without a car again. To add to that, her pay is meager and she's had considerable trouble being able to pay for every bill, meaning I've had to help out again. However, this time I have less funds than I did last year, and all of my money earned through commissions have been going towards my student loan bill. Additionally, there's no real safety net for me this time, meaning if I run out of money, nothing's going to really save me if I just hold out or something. Since all my commission money is going towards one bill, and I have no way to get a job until her own car is repaired, I'm kinda forced into degrading myself again and asking for your assistance.
>>> The PitchIn page is HERE <<<
I'm not really looking for the goal I put in there, although if I reached it that would make me extremely happy. However, all I'm really asking for is the same I asked last time: if you have any spare cash on you, I ask that you consider maybe donating it. It can be as small as a $5 bill, every little bit will help buffer me from emptying my bank account before I can finally go job-searching for real. The above thing I linked works exactly like the ChipIn thing I did last year, ChipIn is just gone now so I'm using this thing that's exactly like it.
However, to bring things full circle, if you'd prefer to instead get something out of a "donation", I'll point you again to my Commissions Guide to look into maybe purchasing a slot and getting a drawing or two from me. Again, I'm very much open and am totally up for working for my money, and while they won't necessarily buffer me from losing funds otherwise, they will help pay for a large monthly bill that otherwise would drain my account very quickly.
So, again, I really hate to ask again after the generosity from last year, and I'm deeply humiliated by this, but I guess my fear of running out of money has finally overtaken my pride. If you can't donate or don't want/can't afford a commission, I guess I can urge you to pass this message around, too, that'll help as well.
Again, I'm really sorry and I feel terrible and I guess I'll just stop talking or else it'll be nothing but beating myself up for the rest of eternity. Thanks for reading/donating/commissioning in advance.

These are all alternate places where I post notifications of the comic's update, in case you, for some reason, rely on FA lately to know when FH updates.
Otherwise I don't really need to freak out like a lot of people, putting down contact info as if this were a big storm coming or something. See new content from you in a few days, peoples.
P.S. Oh yeah, and congratulations to whoever's art gets stuck on the front page whenever the downtime actually hits, because you're gonna get a billion free views.

FA Commission Price Survey!
General | Posted 12 years agohttp://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4954279/
sofia.exe is running a survey on prices FA artists set for their commissions! If you're an artist who does commissions for furries, you should fill it out and junk, let's see what kind of under/overpricing we're doing.

Back from AC2013!
General | Posted 12 years agoHiya, I got back home maybe 12 hours ago but I crashed and woke up after the sun set so I guess I'm only now getting to getting back into the swing of things at like 2am but whatever.
Anthrocon was fun this year, but it sure went by quicker than it has in the past. Most of my time was spent at the Dealer's Den table of course with
immelmann where I met and cavorted with a fair amount of people. Sales were pretty slim this year, though, especially considering all the new products we both had made for the convention. Like, only a couple people bought the brand new FH and Graffiti stickers I made and was really proud of. :C I also got less commissions and badge pre-orders than I did last year, although I really appreciate the stuff people did ask me to do. So sales kinda sucked, but I also bought way less things than I normally do so I guess it evens out? Eh...
Thursday was spent mostly being completely exhausted and sort of delirious, as I had had only 2 hours of sleep prior to the 4 hour car drive, with the added bonus of my car deciding to start overheating for some mysterious reason 50 miles from Pittsburgh, causing me to have to blast heat right at my face from the vents for 45 minutes.
Friday evening was spent mostly learning how to play Ironclaw from
rafferty with random people and also Immy and
blarghgrargh. That was a lot of fun and I did like the system a lot for the most part (I like how different it is, although I think it has some prominent flaws), but boy going straight from the Dealer's Den to that four hour RP session made us hungry as heck. Didn't have the opportunity to get drunk that night due to waiting for Domino's to deliver, too.
Saturday was Concession/FH Meet-Up Dinner day and that was an... interesting time. Had a mostly good time seeing old and new faces there. After that was heavy-drinking time and that was a lot of fun as it tends to be. Watched some weird animations on Youtube like OneyNG's, talked about DnD with some people, did some other stuff too I assume. Unfortunately was the only night we all did socialized mass drinking, but I think it was more fun and interesting than the several times last year.
Sunday was mostly just wrapping up. Ate stuff, said goodbye to some people. The big thing we did that night was me, Immy,
toyapup, and
guilmon720 deciding to have an impromptu Pathfinder game in our hotel room, which was a ton of fun for something that was done completely on the fly. It left us with practically no sleep, though, which made driving home super-difficult and what prompted me to crash until a few hours ago.
So yeah, overall a pretty great time that didn't last long enough. Actually not entirely sure I'll be going again next year, it kind of depends on whether Immy is able to go (need to make that Dealer's Den cash and all). I guess we'll see how this next year plays out. I also might be looking at going to MFF in November, depending on how the next couple of months goes concerning jobs and time and funds and such, hopefully I can go to that thing, too. For now though I really just would like to cool down for a few days before I begin hunting for a grown-up job and whatever.
Eh...Thursday was spent mostly being completely exhausted and sort of delirious, as I had had only 2 hours of sleep prior to the 4 hour car drive, with the added bonus of my car deciding to start overheating for some mysterious reason 50 miles from Pittsburgh, causing me to have to blast heat right at my face from the vents for 45 minutes.
Leaving for Anthrocon tomorrow!
General | Posted 12 years agoHey there, I'll be leaving for Anthrocon tomorrow and getting there at some point in the afternoonish times. I'll be staying at the Omni with
immelmann,
toyapup, and
guilmon720 from Thursday to early Monday morning.
Me and Immy will of course be at our Dealer's Den table while that's open. Final reminder, if you don't know where it'll be by now, it's the Pangolin Press table located here, and we'll have a giant banner that looks like this so it'll be pretty hard to miss us this time I think!
We'll also have some new products for sale, which you can actually preview at the new Store page HERE! We have new sticker packs, including one with BOTH of our art in them, as well as new joke greeting cards made by both me and him for a dollar each! Also, don't fret if you're not going to AC but want these new products, because you can actually order them right now off the store page (although you won't receive them until after AC when Immy can mail them out)!
If you have any questions, let me know, and pay attention maybe to my Twitter or Facebook (since my tweets repost on FB automatically) to see updates on where I am and for, like, meetups or whatever. If you're going to AC (or are already there), I'll see you there hopefully. If you're not going, see you next week. :V

Summercat's wants to help you to activate your Google Wallet
General | Posted 12 years agohttp://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4762280/
Google Wallet is a payment thingy and an alternative to Paypal. Apparently it doesn't seem to have rules about pornographic material, so if you've ever been afraid about that concerning Paypal or Alertpay or whoever else, this could be a good alternative for you. All he has to do to activate your ability to send and receive money from others is your gmail.com account email posted in that journal of his and to make your own journal spreading the word like I'm doin right now. :V Also, note, it's US only.
So yeah if you want that, go click that link and give him your gmail account and you can use Google Wallet maybe I dunno.

BADGE COMMISSIONS OPENED in case you missed it or something
General | Posted 12 years agohttp://www.furaffinity.net/view/10691567/
Details are all up in there.
Also I guess I can say in Anthrocon-related news that there will be new products at the Pangolin Press dealer's den table this year from both me and that other guy, notably a new set of stickers and some other little thing we hope you'll like. Will probably preview them to you people before AC happens at some point.

Badge Commissions for AC13 Opening Soon (Also others maybe)
General | Posted 12 years agoSo in preparation for AC13, I'll be opening for badge commissions within this week. I just need to figure out if there's something different I want to do with them this year or just do the same kind that I did last year. Maybe you guys have an opinion or ideas on that? It'd be helpful.
There's also a good chance I'll be opening for regular commissions before June, it just depends on weighing between how busy I'll be before AC making products to sell and how much money I'll need to be more comfortable going.
So look out for that within the next couple of days. Prices for the badges, whatever they'll end up being, will probably be $20ish just so you know. Maybe $15, I dunno.

Aaaaah it's my birthday.
General | Posted 12 years agoAaaaaah I'm 25 I can rent a car now legally or something aaaaah.
Birthday on Sunday. Also UMA voting ends on the 15th.
General | Posted 12 years agoI'll be turning 25 on Sunday. If you wanna draw me something, by all means go for it. If for some weird reason you wanna buy me something, I'd actually just prefer money instead (paypal: comicnaziadam[at]gmail.com ). If you just wanna wish me a happy birthday, that's perfectly cool, too, just wait until Sunday.
Also, voting for the Ursa Major Awards ends on the 15th. If you haven't voted for whoever you want (preferably Furthia High for Graphic Story), then I'm reminding you now! http://www.ursamajorawards.org/voting2012/ Go do it before it ends.

Earthbound coming to western Wii U VC.
General | Posted 12 years agoEveryone with a Wii U should buy it the instant it comes out and show your support for it because it's a goddamn impossible miracle that this is even remotely happening. I personally can't buy it because I can't afford to get a console I'd never probably play otherwise but you all should totally participate in the amazingness.
And like yeah you could emulate it like we all have for decades but this is about a monumental occasion that everyone was certain would never happen and about actually owning an amazing game that deserves it and getting it to more audiences and what-not. Seriously it's like my favorite game of all time and had I a Wii U already I'd be all over that in a heartbeat.
So, like, Wii U people, go buy that shit. I'm just gonna sit here and a) hope for a 3DS VC release eventually too maybe sometime and b) continue dreaming of when I can finally safely afford to buy a SNES cart of it just to own and treasure.
