Posted 15 years agoSorry I've been out to like the 5 people that watch me. =P
Things have been really hard...a lot of stress, anxiety, and confusion. My mom is very very ill...and probably doesn't have much longer...she hasn't hit hospice just yet, but, it's pretty close...so that has been keeping me down...
I just got this new job...Radioshack...eh.
...
I want to draw or something tonight maybe. That might help.

Halo Reach LAUNCHU
Posted 15 years agoEh. Was okay. Not as many people came to the store as I thought, but that just let me get home faster. So! No worries.
What I love though is that ANYTIME people want to talk to me about Capoeira, they somehow feel the need to tell me their completely unfounded and uneducated beliefs on how and why it is the way it is. Now, I mean, that's alright in theory, it's fun to share knowledge (I could talk about it forevers) but it's just...strange? Peculiar at least? How people somehow, after hearing me tell them "Oh yeah! I love it! Been training for about 6 years now, about to start teaching!" they somehow think they can educate me on the history and practice of what I've poured nearly the last fourth of my life into. I guess they mean well, but, I wouldn't walk up to a doctor and start telling him the history and practice of medicinal treatment when the most I might know about it are things I've heard off-hand and haven't bothered to actually research...so...yeah. This just happens a lot, and it's sad cuz I love to talk about Capoeira with others who are interested but... :<
/capoeira rant.
Drawin' more soon I hope. <3

Noite De Saudade
Posted 15 years agoHoje a lua năo brilha lá no ceu
Hoje meu berimbau năo tocou
Hoje meu pandeiro esta mudo
Hoje meu atabaque năo falou
Hoje o meu mestre năo veio pra roda
Ate que năo e de falta faltou
Hejo nem Bimba nem seu Pastinha
Veu pra dar a bemca en se jogador
Hoje agachado no pe do berimbau
Confeso que eu năo tive aquele axé
Hoje a comunitade esta mais triste
Sentindo a falta de Antonio Jacaré

Posted 15 years agoMmm. How do I become awesome at drawing? Other than practice and stuff. That's a scam (probably).
No really though, it feels good to be drawing and stuff. Things've been weird and silly lately (injuries, unable to train and such) so having something to occupy myself with while I heal is awesome. And I forgot how good it feels to draw stuff, I'm excited to become better.
Also this is hilarious, watch at your own peril: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPlSbo57Zzw
If anyone has critiques or tips, please shoot 'em my way. =)

Hmm
Posted 15 years agoSo my photoshop venture was pretty fun...I'd like to try to do more body work/pose referencing though, I'm pretty poor at proportions and bodies and such. Capoeira poses would be fun!
Also, in my Capoeira group, we all get named after animals when you hit the graduated rank...it's a very personal and prestigious thing...anywho, whatever I get named, that will become my fursona and my first tattoo...I'm excited. =O I kind of hope it's otter, or dog, or something silly and playful...even Giraffe would be awesome!

Posted 15 years agoUh. Drawing again! Radical. I'm excited to put some fun ideas onto the paper and see what happens. Also gonna work on that pixel art too...started with my avatar, and moving onto other things tomorrow! I should browse around and find some nice artists to watch...
