No Anthrocon this year...but.
Posted 12 years agoJust as the title says, I will not be attending Anthrocon this year. Very sad about it...but, not all is lost! This year I'll be heading to Furfright for the first time ever! :D This will be a really exciting experience for me, because not only will it be my very first Furfright...but I'll be meeting my super long-term friend for the first time in person!
I'll be rooming with him, and and it's going to be freakin' awesome. super stoked. Who else is going?

Posted 13 years agoVery late, but I'll be honest...I've had other stuff to worry about than to come on here and type forever. I apologize for that. :C
Man, what a year this turned out to be. I guess I should start with the beginning. I ended up going to's house about a week or so before the con to spend some time with him. Instead of our usual ride, our two friends decided to help us out. We're all dangerous together and the ride was full of jokes and just fun times. We ended up stopping at a famous local restaurant before heading to CT, I think my favorite joke was them talking in high class british talk going on about how CT was far more superior and eh. You'd just have to hear it sometime I guess. The ride there was alright, and I finally got to boot up my new computer upon arriving. :D I didn't have much time to really mess with it because almost as soon as we all decided we were going to go hang out with more friends in a big ol' gathering sort of thing. We had taco bell and played on super computers and then we finally headed home.
We had a nice week, but then it was finally time to make out trip to the convention Thursday morning. I'll be honest with everyone... I dread that painful 10+ hour train ride. Dx But ah well. We kept ourselves entertained. After a gruesome wait sitting on the train, we finally arrive in Pittsburgh. We tried to find our two friends as we got ff the train, but soon gave up and decided to see if they were in the waiting area. While going down the escalator, I spotted
and he helped us take our stuff to the car, with 
waiting in there for us. x3 We decided to bite the bullet early and pick up our con badges that night. Finally, after much wait, we finally got to the hotel. Were we all collapsed and watching Top Gear and MLP (the latter in which Merja hated us for.) and ordered some pizza. It all was freakin' delicious. We watched more Top Gear and then went to bed.
The convention itself was pretty cool. We did a lot of cool stuff over the duration of it. Me and Merja fursuited, we met some really cool people but the highlights of my personal en devours were meeting
and... 
. Oh my god. I could have died a happy bat at that point. I was so shy, but J convinced me to say hello. I thought he'd just be all "Sure, sure." but no. Instead he made the smirk and hugged me, called me "cupcake" and just sdkjfs. I went to go see his booth before and say hello, maybe by the CD of his rants, but he was busy with someone. His fiance (he proposed to him on stage at the con, I teared up a little. So cute.) noticed me and was all "hey, you're that one person!" but we had to get going before 2 looked up to see me. I looked behind me as I was walking off, and saw he was looking at me. And he waved. I turned bright red and waved back. Sadly that was the last I spotted of him but he made my convention. I tell you.
We also went to the Rolling Rock Cafe and got drunk and the guy watching over the bar was yelling up at us all "FURRIES. WE LOVE FURRIES. CHEERS FOR THE FURRIES." and made us all embarassed. Fun times! There was also this other restaurant we went to that made epic sandwiches. Nom.
As the convention came to an end, we said our goodbyes, took another long 10+ hour train ride and arrived back in CT, tired and ready to take it easy. I spent another wonderful week or so with and said our painful goodbyes as I took my trip back here to NY for a little while. I'm really hoping I can go back for good soon. I miss that guy.

I'm still at Merja's house but my new computer is 90% done. Just need a little more RAM and we'll be all set. Anyways. Back to disappearing off that radar. *poof*

Posted 13 years agoSo I leave tomorrow morning for my Anthrocon trip. I'm pretty excited, to be honest. I'm gonna be picked up early tomorrow and head over to 's house for a little while. Gonna hang out with him and local friends like old times and then finally, the weekend after, is Anthrocon!
Really looking forward to this. I need a little get away.
I probably won't be able to update or answer much of anything 'till Monday nightish. That's when my new computer monitor gets in. Anyways. Just wanted to let you guys know where I am.

It sucks being in pain almost every day, but hell, I'm surviving. I need grapefruits. And maybe some Taco Bell. I want a Doritio Taco. ljsdhfksdjfhd.

My final thoughts on recent happenings..
Posted 13 years agoSo, if anyone hasn't heard lately..we lost a truly wonderful person recently. Vex was such a good person, and it hurt me deeply to think someone so loved and loving could be taken from us so suddenly. I would have made this journal yesterday, but after hearing about it, I didn't...really want to do much of anything. I wish I had more time to talk to him. It still seems so unreal that he's gone... haha. I keep thinking I'll go look at his page again and see a new journal pop up. Or something. But, I've come to terms that it's not. Hm.
I remember meeting him at conventions.. he was such a fun person to be around. He cared about what people had to say and always took what everyone said in his best regards. You don't meet too many people like that. I know everyone's views on someone can be different but just... gah, I dunno. I wish I had time to thank him for all his kind words, and not thinking I was a total weirdo when I'd approach him and tell him how much I liked his character and giving me all the advice he did, but I was too shy to do anything most of the time, and he never seemed to care. It kinda serves as a cold dose of reality to be honest..
So, everyone.. if you ever want to tell someone you appreciate them, for the love of whatever god you believe in you do it. Don't even think a for a moment that you can just do it later. Do it now. You never know when the last time you'll be able to do that is, and I'm sure no one wants to live with that regret of knowing you never had that chance to say you care.
My thoughts go out to Vex's wife... who I regret not approaching, I'll admit. He loved her with all his heart and only wanted to see her happy. Serph, I hope you know that. You were his everything. And I'm sure if there's a heaven somewhere, he's keeping a close eye on you. So don't worry. If you'd like to give her your own condolences, go here;

I also feel as if it's appropriate to give my regards
, who lost his girlfriend as well in that car crash since she was driving with Vex...I didn't know either of you, but no one should have to deal with that pain. ever.
I think I'll end this journal now. As much as it hurts, I don't want to dwell on this. I wish I had time to thank him, but, I knew he lived his life without any regrets, and that gives me a little comfort somehow. I might draw something for the occasion, but I'm not sure yet.

Posted 14 years agoJust to let everyone know. I won't really be around much tomorrow and I leave Saturday morning/afternoon for Anthrocon and spending a little time with the boyfriend. Anyone who wants to meet up somehow - just toss a message here and I'll see what I can do!
