I've had a lot going on lately to say the least; I don't get too much into my personal life on here, but I recently took some time away from my day job, focused on myself, and am now gearing up to return to the office and the world of tech support. I am looking forward to it as I'll have even more of a set schedule and I want to see what progress I've made emotional and what skills I can use that I've picked up in my time away.

1. I'll be participating on two writing panels this year; as of this journal, I'll be on the Writing Basics: Intermediate on Friday, and Fantasy Writing on Sunday
2. I'm also hoping to work out time to be at the Rabbit Valley table in support of "Tailless"

Ah, TFF was a total blast this year, I just wish I could have stayed longer since there was A LOT happening on Sunday that I wanted to go to. Will plan better for next year.

-Had to cancel plans to go to go BLFC this year due to finances, con came up on me way too quickly >.<
-So instead I'm going to to AnthroCon this year for the first time! I'm so excited
-Also going to PAC Antro this year, I heard good things about the con from my friends at Rabbit Valley, and a trip out West in the winter months sounds lovely

figured out my con schedule for this year and i'm way excited; will be doing Furry Fiesta, Biggest Little Fur Con, and Rocky Mountain Fur Con. I always want to get in one more during the winter but that's the busy season for work so it never fits the plans :( can't wait to see all my friends both local and long distance

Well 2016 is halfway done, and it's been a great year! I've been lucky enough to accomplish a lot of goals so far, and things are feeling the most on-track they have been in my life since 2012 or so. I received a promotion at my day job a couple weeks ago, so I'm now a T2 tech support advisor for iOS devices. Should be a blast, all this extra responsibility and power. I've adjusted a lot of my personal relationships and entered into some arrangements I've been hoping for for ages. Lots of personal growth, and of course, my first novel came out, which I will continue to be proud of. I will relentless advertise on this page :p

I've had a really busy convention year. So far, I've hit TFF and BLFC, and RMFC is right around the corner! This year will be really great because my husband will be attending with me. Curious to see the temporary con space. Looking forward to seeing a lot of friends I only see at cons, including but not limited to my friend at Rabbit Valley, Fur Planet and their team, Austin furs I don't see enough, and other writers and artists in the community. I'll probably be at a lot of the writing panels, and if you want to find me, look for the confused lady in black and white. I will give out hugs if you ask, consent is key, but I'm the huggable type!

After RMFC, it's looking like my last con this year will be MFF in December. We have family up that way which may add some extra fun to the trip. Feeling really lucky to be able to travel this much this year.

Hi everyone! Getting set for a really exciting next few months. First up I'll be attending Biggest Little Fur Con in two weeks. It's my first time at the con and I'm so excited. I'm disappointed with myself for not finishing the writing I wanted to do in time, it's been slipping my mind, and I've been sick, and I've been juggling a lot of relationships and other projects. But still, it's going to be a blast.

June I'll be heading East to get back to my furry roots, and by that I mean I'll be attending a gathering of all the friends I made back in Sonic chat back in the early 2000's. Quick journal here to talk about my time Rocky Mountain Fur Con: IT WAS AWESOME.

This was pretty special for me as it was my first con out of state. I've also been a bit of a rough patch emotionally, so getting to a fur con was just the environment I needed. There's always such a wealth of fun and creativity, it's impossible to feel down.

My main concern before going to Denver, however, was if I would know anyone there. I already knew the guys from Rabbit Valley would be there, and was looking forward to finally meeting them, but beyond that I wasn't sure. I get a bit nervous when making new friends and can over analyze how I come across to people at first meet.

That ended up not being a problem in the least. I actually new a fair amount of furs there, mostly the lovely FurPlanet staff, so big shout outs to Teiran and Zia for saying hi and talking. Sean and Andrew from Rabbit Valley were a blast to hang out in the dealer den and Sunday night as well. I also went to a number of writing panels and was please to make acquaintances with Rob Baird, who is a fine gentlemen and good panel organizer.

And of course, big hugs to the Austin furry group who was there, you are all crazy and fun.

I also made friends with a few random people. Met a really sweet girl on Friday night who was at her first furry con; we ended up having dinner together once we realized both of us were eating alone. We talked for probably an hour or so, before going to the dance and having a grand time. It's these kind of chance run ins that really make cons fun for me.

And oh I got some awesome commissions. On the advice of Zia, I had a few pieces done by Mitty, all which turned out great; my favorite had to two badges for my dogs, Sundae and Melanie. She captured them perfectly. I also commissioned a bookmark, which ended up being a collab with her and three other artist, it's so beautiful.

All that said, I really should have just done a Sunday night flight, I was so tired by Monday, the trip home was exhausting. But it was a great con and i'll for sure be going back next year

I created my first stories, drew comics, created super hero magazines, and invented worlds at my grandma's house. It was the first place I felt creative. She made the best chicken nuggets and boxed french fries ever. Wrestling was always the most fun to watch stretched out on the floor in front of her TV, heater warming my feet. She let me eat frosting from the can. She pulled me home from day care in a red wagon, and later on I'd walk there from high school, excited about new friends, new stories, and the future. I had my first crush on a girl who was two doors down. When I transitioned, she called me "pretty" and didn't need any explanation. I love you Grandma Ruth, I miss you already

I'm still figuring out what to use FA for, I've also set up SoFurry and Weasyl accounts that I just honestly forget about. I wonder if it's a reflection of my lack of output, which makes me feel quite unproductive as a writer. I'll more than likely put a short story up in the next week or two, before TFF, but one short story or two a year isn't near what I feel I should be doing.

"Tailless", my novel project, is seeing some progress. There will be info soon, but I'm happy where things are at right now. I'm also outlining the follow up, approaching this form a more organized place than I did the first one. It's a good change of pace and makes me feel like i won't spend a near decade this time.

Furry Fiesta is coming up! I'm so excited. There's so many friends, some of who even live in Austin, who I haven't seen in ages, that will get plenty of hugs. As far as what I'll be doing, you can mostly find me in the writing panels and kid fur events. I'm very easy to spot right now, I have a pink and blue stripe in the front of my hair, so if you've never seen me, feel free to come up and say hi. Actually plenty of stuff!

I finally got my first furry con via Furry Fiesta. I feel so lucky to have such a great con so close to me, I had a blast. Met so many new friends, caught up with old ones, and made merry like crazy. One thing it did show me is that, especially within the fandom, I am a lot more outgoing and able to meet new people quickly. Much love to people i met there, you are all awesome. I also was lucky enough to get a short story in the conbook, which is the first time anyone's taken the time to print out my stuff for someone else to read, so I am very grateful for that

....I also spent way too much money, which I should have expected b/c I have been to fandom cons before, but yea, I was NOT prepared -.- oops, sorry bank account!

Since then I've been a bit reserved. I've been adjusting to a promotion at work among other things, so I haven't gotten out as much as I'd like to. Met a few folks for lunch/dinner, but that's it. I am such a lazy and bad furry.

As is my (lame) running gag, I will be hosting QuinnCon in my apartment from 2/24 to 2/26, GOH this year is going to be my stuffed skunk Little James, who will be doing his insult comic routine, viewing room will have some anime, sonic cartoons, and whatever pro wrestling I need to catch up on. :) as always, space is limited to 2 or 3 people, tickets only $450 for the whole weekend. This gets you access to my fridge, as long as you stay away from my boyfriends food. A good time all around.

But seriously, two years ago, I missed TFF b/c my relationship ended and i was broke

As I mentioned kinda in the comments on my last journal, on 1/24/12 I completed my GRS (gender reassignment surgery) in San Mateo, CA. I am feeling better every day, no complications, so no worries there; it was the blissful conclusion of a year of planning, stress, and hard work both in my job and personal life, and I couldn't have made it down this path half as well w/o a lot of the fine friends I have within this community. So many to list, but a few I do want to give personal thanks

Whines/Fades: You guys took me in when I was as low as I've felt emotionally and gave me a safe, comfortable, place to live, explore my self expression, and keep my life moving forward. I honestly cannot say where I would be if not for your kindness.

Tankui: For being an amazing ear when I needed to get a million things off my chest and one of the first persons in ATX to listen to me, you're a great friend and a credit to Tankui's everywhere :)

I've been pretty absent from FA and it goes along with being away from the furry community as a whole. I go through periods where I'm not that social, or sometimes where I feel driving very little, and sadly here in Austin the majority of the fur events take place in North (or really far North) Austin. I've also just been stressed, and I tend to turn inward or close my social circle during stressful times. But I'm trying to do away with that, so yeah, here I am on FA. I'm going on an extended leave from my work, so I hope I can make it up to more stuff here in town, I do need to, as I miss all my friends here in town :\
