Anyone got any suggestions for brushes and settings for Paint Tool SAI? I've been playing with digital painting instead of just cel-shading everything (nothing good that I want to show, haha), and I'm open to suggestions and whatnot. :3

Dear lord, what has been going on that everyone is traveling lately? September and October at work have been so much busier than the entire summer combined. I mean, I've been a bit lax in drawing since my tablet broke. But mostly, holy shit, work.

How's everyone else faring out there?

(Also, I got a replacement tablet. Sort of. I'm borrowing Untitled's until I can afford a new one. Ha.)

Today has been... unusually depressing for me. It's a mixture of exhaustion and pain, and so I've been trying to distract myself to keep me from being absolutely "bleh."

So, anyone got any good music or Netflix suggestions? I already watched The Secret of Kell today, and I've listened to everything on UntitledWendigo's iPod at least twenty times. As much as I love Peggy Lee, if I listen to Johnny Guitar one more time, I'm gonna scream.

Heck, tell me something good that's happened to you. I like it when folks have good news to share. :3

Okay, so I am turning up no results and it's about to drive me crazy.

I was talking to Untitled about a toy I had as a kid because I want to design a character off of it. It was some kind of weird My Little Pony knock-off toy, but--of all the things--it was a Rottweiler dog. It had cloth ears and a brushable tail, and was surprisingly stout looking for a toy intended for a girl.

I also had an Irish Setter, but her ears stood up weird and I didn't like her as much.

I know they came out in the late '90s, but I forget the name of the actual brand or whatever, and it's driving me insane. Closest I've come to finding anything is a weird St. Bernard lookin' one with ears that stood up all wonky like the setter, but all it lists it as is a "fakie." No brand.

So, I just figured I'd ask if anyone just so happened to know where I could look for some weird, knock-off MLP dog. Because, you know, furries. Also, apparently, collecting knock-offs is becoming popular or something. :B

... And now I'm trying to think of a fake reason for that so I don't have to say, "She's a tiny terror, so I named her after a drug addicted leader of a murderous group of skull-wearing tweakers on the outskirts of Vegas."

But, we do refer to her purring as "starting her chainsaw," so that brings me joy.

So, on my old account I mentioned that part of my absenteeism was health related. I think? I'm pretty sure I did, at least. Some of it was mental, a lot of it was physical.

Throbbing full-body pain. Weird heart palpitations. Breathing difficulty. Passing out. Weird vision impairments. Stuff they told me was stress, then asthma, then fibromyalgia, then "we're gonna run another CAT scan and keep monitoring this for five months. In the mean time, here's another bottle of medicine. Don't die."

But one of the things I had to give up for heart-related reasons was caffeine, Oh my god, given how much of a caffeine junkie I was, it about killed me, especially since my job basically demands me to keep weird and unholy hours to make a living. Functioning sans coffee on four hours of sleep for an eight hour shift of arguing about Excel spreadsheets is excruciating.

So today, admittedly, I said, "Fuck it all" and did the opposite of what I should have.

I can still feel it. It was a tiny cup, so tiny, but dear freakin' god I feel so bad. Like somebody filled my chest with gravel, which isn't accurate at all if you think about it literally, but it's the only thing that even sort of fits.

Lesson learned. Doctor was right. I screwed up. Augh.

Since I'm sitting here, mad at a reference sheet I'm doing as a favor for , I figured I'd start a conversation on here. Because I like talking.
