My job has been a fucking hassle lately.
I have been here for almost two months, and everything was great.
Problem is we're short staffed.
I have a ton of stuff to do on my own, and on Thursdays and Fridays I'm alone.
I'm given two sections with LOADS of product that need put out but
I CANNOT finish it alone, and they refuse to give me help.
I also end up unloading and breaking down/sorting an average of 12 skids a night.
I'm so fucking frustrated. I don't know what to do.
Today was my breaking point. I can't sleep because I'm terrified of getting in trouble.
We usually are allowed an hour or two of overtime every night (I work third shift), and no one told me we weren't able to have it tonight. I had my stuff about 3/4 of the way finished...
Well, 6:30 AM rolls around and my coworker walked up to me and said "Alex, you do know it's 6:30 right?"
"Do we have to leave"
"Yeah, we're not allowed to have overtime"
I had four skids that needed put back into the cooler, I hadn't conditioned a large portion of my area, and I hadn't even been able to TOUCH the one section.
I'm so afraid of getting in trouble, and I have no idea what to do. It's such bullshit.
They give me all these tasks that need completed but don't give me a partner two days out of the week.
When I'm working with my partner, we get shit done. We get everything completed by 5:45 AM usually, and clock-out time is 6:30. Hell, we even do extra things that we're not required to do.
Sorry for all of this, I'm just VERY angry.
If it keeps up, I'll be searching for another job.
