So NFC2018 is over and I am back home and working!

It was a lovely and fun week with friends. It feels good to be home again and will look forward to next year!

Battlefield 1 all weekend! Me,  bakuthecitra and beer ! :3

Got myself a HTC Vive two weeks ago. I had never tried it before and I had only tried the first Oculus dev kit before that. But I thought the first Oculus was pretty amaze.

This though.. blew me away! From the responsiveness of the controls and how amazing the feel was when playing something like "The Lab" from Valve.
Everything from the details and all the things one could interact with. And to play Job Simulator was extremely fun I thought. I do hope they put out more jobs. Had many hours of fun with it.

And then got Google Tilt brush.. I am terrible at drawing and me drawing in a three dimensional space.. it was very interesting and hard xD
But we got to check out some stuff in the gallery that people had made. And damn.. some people are amazing.

And my sweetie dragon lunedragon got me the game "Call of the Starseed: The Gallery" Which is a puzzle exploration game pretty much. There is only one episode so far and I haven't gotten far.
But it has been fun and interesting. SO I hope they make great progress finishing the other episodes :3

Only sad thing is, there aren't super many games at the moment and a few a quite expensive. But hopefully that will change and that some games will get HTC vive support with the controllers!
One game that already has it, is Minecraft. Made by this guy https://github.com/Automat-GH/minecrift

It is a extremely well made mod to minecraft. It worked really smooth and uses the vive controllers. And one guy is working on a GTA V mod for it. So that will be amazing too see ^^.

Hopefully VR will be a cheaper in the future. Since this was a 1000 euro (1100 USD) in Sweden. And I was lucky to nab one for myself when a store got them.
They got in about 20 that they could sell and they disappeared in 40 mins.

I recommend Vive or VR overall at the moment. I hope the Oculus controllers work great for the people that have it. And I do hope the game industry will support both platforms for their games!

So 3 weeks ago I started my new job as a Application Specialist at a sister company to a large car manufacturer who also sells their solutions to other large car companies.

It is such a difference going from a small company with around 50 people to a enterprise with 1500 people. And so weird that is such a mix. Many of the people not just work only at the office in Gothenburg. But also in India, China, USA, Japan and more.. So one shouldn't get suprise to suddenly switch to english when talking to other colleges.

Everything feels so professional from before. And I feel kinda nervous, but I hope I will fit in with the others. They have been very nice to me and I hope it will go well ^^

Well that was amazing for my first con with ! Met so many people and friends that I hadn't seen in a while.

So many fun people and such a great staff on the hotel. Was really sad to go on the last day.

I hope everyone else had an amazing time too!

Well, moved into the new apartment, just a little late with update.

But I need more stuff to put it in!

And got a roomie too!  bakuthecitra shares the apartment with me!

So I am happy to have a bigger apartment and won't be as crowded when inviting people over!

I have gotten kinda a kick for studying again. Not school studies, but studying networks again.

I am already certified in Cisco's CCNA, CCNP, CCNA SEC. But those are Academic Certifications, and doesn't have the same weight as the industry certification (the ones you pay loads of money for).

Reading about the highest Cisco certification CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert), it seems a lot of fun to study for, and they just came out with a new version of it.
I think it would be awesome to start gathering equipment for a home lab. Now that I will be getting a bigger apartment to fit everything in!

Some would think of the certifications as a waste of time and you can still learn it and know it when working.
I just think it would be nice having more 'proof' that you really know the stuff.

Studying some VMware now as well. I have a nice 75% off voucher on the exam and I have passed the course for it. Just need to prepare to take the exam x3

A long way to CCIE, and I will go for CCNA and CCNP as well :3

Me and my boyfriend went over, and we had a really great time and met a lot of new nice people!

To bad I won't be going to Nordic FuzzCon due to my finacial situation, and the lack of hotel rooms at the Con >.>

Last weekend me and  lunedragon had our 1 year anniversary! Already gone one year... everything goes so fast o.o
We had an awesome lazy weekend, and went out to the pub with  bakuthecitra and  jaytailraiser
They were nice to buy us both one irish coffee each. So thank you guys, you're awesome! Lots of love! <3

And tons of love to my boyfriend, the year has been awesome and we've had lots of good times together, and more to come <3
