I'm flying out of New Orleans tomorrow morning and heading to Reno for BLFC! I'll be flying back home Monday. Maybe I'll see some of y'all out there.

I just realized that my last journal was four years ago, and it was also about heading to BLFC. As was my previous journal before that. I think it's going to just become a tradition now that I only use FurAffinity journals to announce that I'm going to BLFC. X3

I'm going to Reno for BLFC this week, woo hoo! I'm flying in Thursday and will be leaving Sunday afternoon.

Bwahaha, and I just noticed my last journal was about leaving for BLFC last year.

Headed out the door to the airport and then onto Reno and BLFC. It'll be my first major furry convention since Anthrocon 2012. Hope to see some of y'all there!

Some of you already know, and some don't know, but I recently got a promotion that required me to have to move to Louisiana. I've finally got my computer and internet all hooked up again in my new place, so hopefully I'll be able to be more friendly and active again. And on a related note, it's tough wading through 500 watched submissions when you don't have full internet for a couple of weeks!

But then again, every day is vore day for me. :)

Today is my 32nd birthday. :)

I found out last night that my uncle died. In the last eight months, I've lost my grandfather, my aunt (wife of the uncle who died) and my uncle. I feel really bad for my two cousins - a sophomore in high school and a freshman in college - because they're orphans now. I also recently just had to pay for about $3,000 in car repairs. I'm really just about ready for this year to be over.

On a different note, since I'm going to probably be busy with work, shopping and family over the next few days and I might not get free enough to say it, merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone.

If you hear about an earthquake in the Deep South tomorrow, don't worry. It's probably just me running in my 5-K at 8 a.m.

Heading out to Las Vegas today to spend a few days with the parental units. Oddly, there's apparently a furry convention going on right across the road from my hotel (we're staying at the Gold Coast, convention is at the Palms). I may have to check it out at some point. o.o

Today's my birthday. I'm celebrating it by having trouble sleeping. Someone give me some cake or something! :3

I just ran in my first 5K in three years.

So, I'm pondering buying a tablet computer sometime soon. I want it to be strong for art (as in, easy to draw on the screen with a stylus), but also have good online capability and a number of useful programs. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone! I'm happy to report that I had a wonderful time at AC, even though it was far too short. Because of my work responsibilities, I was only able to take Friday off, so I had to fly up around noon Friday and fly back Sunday afternoon. Even so, I was so happy to get to meet so many of my friends again, as well as introduce myself to some new friends! I appreciate all of my roommates for letting me stay with them and not be annoyed by my desire to talk about sports a lot. A special thanks to Cougar and Strega for letting me join them for pizza on Friday, and to BBB and his roommates for putting on a fun party Saturday. It's weird that I went four years without attending, yet now I am already pumped to go back against next year. I guess I just needed an infusion of furry fun.

I am also happy that I finally finished up a major publishing project at work today. I feel like a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Of course, I now have another magazine that I need to get done Friday and over the weekend...it just never ends. :)

Whew, managed to finish up enough at work so that I can come home, grab a quick dinner and hit the hay! Gotta get up at 3 a.m. tomorrow so I can drive to Atlanta and hop on my flight to Pittsburgh. I figure I should actually get to the con by around noon or so. See some of you there!

As many of you are aware, I'm moving to a new apartment five hours away today. I'll still be in Georgia but at a different newspaper job. The one I previously had was just too stressful. I'm going to pick up the UHaul van in a few hours and will make the actual move later today. Everything is packed so shouldn't take long to load. I won't have actual Internet for a while but I do still have my smartphone so I can be contacted. I'll update once I'm in the new place. Take care all!

I'm still trying to decide if I want to bite the bullet and visit Furry Weekend Atlanta later this month. I'm not going to get a hotel room, since I live only two hours away, but I'm pondering just coming by Saturday and/or Sunday. What say everyone? Anybody planning on going? If I have enough friends going there, I probably will try to make a visit. :)

It gets more than a little frustrating to leave work Monday at 11:30 p.m., come into work Tuesday at 5:30 a.m., and still get hassled by the publisher because I'm up against our 12:30 p.m. deadline and "you should really have that editorial page done already cause all it is are columns and you can write those anytime."

Hey everyone, just thought I'd let people know that I got back safely. I had a great time in Vegas, even if I didn't end up making much money. I got to experience some things that I had never gotten to do there before, and I thank my vacation pals for that. Thanks  rags and  lavaskunk for the wonderful time!

And now I have a full day of work to enjoy tomorrow. Goody.

Hey, everyone. I know that I've been way to busy/lazy/unfocused to update this thing in a while, but I have rather big news. Some of you already know, but for those who don't, I'm going to be moving next week. I'm taking a new job at a newspaper in Georgia, which means I'll be shifting from Central Time to Eastern Time. I'm going to be about two hours from Atlanta, which is neat because I like going to sporting events and things like that (currently, I'm four hours from either Atlanta or New Orleans).

I'm going to get all my ducks in a row, and hopefully be ready to move next Friday. Next week sometime, I plan to drive over there and look at either apartments or houses to rent. I start my new job on Mon., Jan. 25. Wish me luck, and please forgive me if I'm not around as much the next few weeks. I'll hopefully at least be able to phone-AIM some!

But you don't see it, cause they're all in the Scraps folder. Mostly old stuff, but it still might be of interest to someone...

I'm planning to eventually bring all my art over here, too, though I'm probably only going to upload a few pics at a time. Hope to do a better job of keeping up with everyone else's art, too.
