April Updates

We're almost at the midway point through April and I thought i'd make a post! My original plan was to have everyone done by March, but I've had some bleh which pushed things back.
I finally have a lupus diagnosis which helps explain an overwhelming amount of the problems I've been having for a few years. That really sucks :/ But! I'm managing now. I'm adjusting my normal deadlines just a teeny bit to account for flareups. but nothing else will change. I just thought I'd let you guys know :U
I'm posting Ravenwoods parts and head later this week/early next week. Arken's suit swatches are in and his head is currently getting foamed. Hoping to have him done within the next two weeks!
I'll be working on Gintaro in tandem with Arken Djon'il so both should be done within the same time period!
Tobias already has his tail done from a bit back, so i'll be getting his paws done with the time between everyone else, followed by bodysuit, and then head stuff last.
Also! I'm updating the website and moving it! That should be done sometime toward the end of the month. Also also! Moving my email to something else most likely. I'm having a very hard time keeping up with emails between all the other mess that gets sent there. Do message me for the new one for some better messaging/emails!

Updates and a question.
Posted 9 years agoIt's getting warm again in Michigan and I'm sooooo excited I can start taking photos outdoors again. Healthwise for now I also feel loads better, just still a bit tired here and there so we're back on track pretty much.
I'm cleaning out my workroom again for the spring and reorganizing so in a little bit I'll have some nice photos of that along with a bunch of stuff to sell that's taking up room (blanks, noses, tails, paws, etc.) I'm also working on blazing through the queue this month, so that's three partials and two fullsuits. If not 100% I at least want everything to be 90% so we'll see how that goes.
Also a question if you want as my assistant and I have been bickering over it for some reason. If you could, would you prefer to have a lifetime supply of pie? Or a lifetime supply of cake? Why?

Posted 9 years agoSo i have strep throat :D hooray that really sucks! In the event I don't get around to emails I thought i'd make an update here.
Photos and WIPS will resume early to mid next week. In the meantime, my assistant is doing everything she can (still training her so not a lot) and I am dead to the world.

The Trello queue and website have been updated :^ I have two suits on a rush/very important to do status so they're currently taking most of my time.
On my off time I have a big cat blank I want to get done into something and ready to sell to help get a new camera and take care of some other bills. But that's gonna cut into sleep time so we'll see.
I'll also have a blue wolf partial for sale within a few days. The guy has been sitting around unfinished for a while, so I'm going to use one of my non-working days to finish him.

I don't know how, but I'm willing to bet it's due to an accident involving a printer falling. It's making this weird brrrrrrrrr noise and it feels like there's a bumblebee trapped inside. It has a problem turning on and off and now the lens protector won't close and nothing but black shows on the screen. I'm going to take it in to get it repaired, so fingers crossed that I can do something about it.
I really don't want to teach myself how to use the other camera sitting around, but until something can be done about my bby It's either that or phone pictures :/

Other than that, I'm having problems/delays with USPS again. Two international orders and a third domestic order got picked up last week without the pickup confirmation and took about 2 days to scan in (causing me a lot of panic as I'd thought they were stolen). Another package got picked up this morning (this one my mom at least saw the postman get as she was gardening) and I'm beginning to think the same nonsense is going to happen here. And another package that got overnighted didn't get there until 2 days later so I have to go get a refund for that >:/ (this would be the 4th time this has happened this year)
Typically I can just pop in and drop everything off that'll fit in the little drop box they have, but I can't do that with the larger suit parts going out because they don't seem to understand the little discount I get by using shipping labels online and they try to charge me for that. I'm tempted to switch to using UPS or fedex, but I really don't want to charge everyone more for shipping (especially for international customers augh). So for now I'm just going to try a post office even further away and hope nothing goes awry there.

Things are much improved! My health is more or less stabilizing out so I can work longer days and the paid queue is about 75% done! The workroom is also 80% packed up, but I keep finding myself having to re-open containers for supplies and that whole thing is a mess lol.
I'm hoping to post a pair of feet and a head by the end of this week so that's taking all of my attention at the moment.
I don't have much to say here other than things are definitely improving! and I'm nearly back on track. Thank you for everyones patience! You're all just delightful little peaches! :DD

I'm going to be moving by September and my health is in a bit of a questionable state at the moment. Due to this I have far more delays with my large orders than is acceptable and I am trying my best to remedy this and not have it happen again. I apologize emphatically and thank everyone for their continued patience.
So what exactly does that mean? Well, see the bullet points.
-I am closing for fullsuits indefinitely.
-I am finishing the current list of of commissions before opening for heads and partials again.
-When/if I open again, I will only accept one partial or one head at a time.
-I am going to be selling a lot more pre-mades as these are easier for me to complete. You can expect the first around late October/early November hopefully.
-Small commissions such as tails, paws, ears, feet, etc. are unaffected. I never close for these and it is much easier for me to get these out on time and earlier.
The current goal is to try and get every current order finished by the time I have to pack up the workroom and begin the move. I am working as hard as I can when possible and I hope to have some suit photos by the end of next week.
-Radioactimals

I've moved the entire Queue over to Trello and you can check that out in the header above ^. This is the easiest way for me to update things as I can make quick progress notes on each project without having to make a post on facebook or format an email (still sending emails with photos, this is just an easy way to let you know what is going on as it happens).
Projects that have been fully paid off and projects that are being paid in increments past their down payment take priority over things that haven't (I've got bills guys), and projects that only have downpayments paid and nothing else are worked on in little bits, if you were wondering how I'm spacing out/planning work. The backlog is just about done as well.
Parts are also being cast too! They don't take too much time to mix up and pour so they're easy to fit into breaks everyday. If you haven't already, you can check out the tiny part store on my main FA page. I'm adding a semi-realistic canine nose and feline pawpads up there later this week.

Posted 10 years agoAnd why is this. Why is May coming up so fast D: I didn't sign up for this. I also didn't sign up for snow in April when a few days prior it was in the 70s. No one move to Michigan, we have some problems.
Business
Not much to day here, just working. I have to do a massive supply re-stock though.
Head n' some tails n ears coming this week to finish out April. May stuff includes a cheetah partial, bodysuit, feets, canine base v3, most of a fullsuit (everything but the body), and maybe some random bits and pieces.
Also redoing the logo because it's been here since 2011 and it is truly atrocious. Workin' on that.
ALSO! Apologies to those two quotes that went out with the signature -raderractermals. I tried to do the signature thing on my phone and it worked out very poorly.
Other
I found all my rockband stuff and I'm making an active effort to get back into my vidya gaems when I'm not working (so Sundays, mondays, and past 9 pm on other days). I deeply deeply miss playing L4D online but until I fix my stupid xboxs connection to the internet via ethernet, that's not gonna happen (also is that even supported anymore? I have steam but the compy is a turd)
Also I've been lifting a ridiculous amount lately. Not only do my tattoos look fantastic, but now I can punch out the spider invasion of spring. And this is critical because those spiders are huge, and if they're not going to do their jobs and eat the occasional kitchen ant then they can't stay.
-This has been your friendly neighborhood Radioactimals. The next journal should have more substance, but it is just as likely to contain a delicious cake recipe for spring is the time of the dessert making.

Blah, I've been unable to shake this awful headache since Friday. I get dizzy every time I move too fast. Work schedule has increased a bit/we're getting back on track. I also got a rad new desk for mah birfday which I'll be taking photos of later.
Here's whats going on this week.
I'm uploading FenrisMau's bodysuit, feet, and tail in a bit (to be shipped express tomorrow).
Head photos to come later on tomorrow (and then overnighted)
Luiazure head (Wednesday/Thursday. Redoing the cheeks due to dissatisfaction with shaving/pattern)
Snowleopard set (airbrushing Wednesday/Thursday)
After that. work will resume Tuesday the 14th and I'll post an update with what's goin' on that week.
I should also note for those of you on Deviantart, I do not take points. You cannot buy a suit or any parts with points. Please stop asking. This also goes for Neopoints, and flightrising gems/dragons....crazy kids >:(
