After some negotiations I managed to come up with a compromise, and paid a reduced price to stay for at least another month. The shit hasn't quite hit the fan yet.

Oh and it turns out my "friend" was just a hypocrite, and just avoided me whenever I tried to contact them. At the very least they could've simply said "No" and left it at that. Whatevers.

Welp, time to resume the hunt. :V

I'll try to keep it short. I tend to keep my regular life separate from what I do on the internet, but...

Basically I have to move out where I'm currently staying by the end of the week. The major reason I've been less active (aside from bullshit journals after I've drowned my sorrows) is because I was on a job hunt. Jani-King, the folks I normally worked for, has been on a contract drought for a good while now and my business license is expired. I've been doing some odd jobs here and there (like PC Repairs and some Landscaping stuff) got some public assistance (Food Stamps and one of those Assurance phones), and received a few handouts but it's not quite enough.

I usually spend maybe 6-8 hours on foot (or bus if I scrape up enough change) most days just walking around Norfolk, only to hear 'We currently do not have any positions available" or "We'll have some openings in the summer" god knows how many times. I did manage to land an interview at Sears, but the sheer volume of people who applied for the same position doesn't guarantee a spot. They keep telling me to wait two weeks and they'll know, but I kinda don't have two weeks.

Especially frustrating when someone I knew just recently got a job handed to them without so much as to even hop on the bus or surf the web, despite me busting my ass just to find anything. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places...

At the very least a close friend is willing to help out since they're aware of my situation, but I wanted to let everyone know that just in case I become even less active. Perhaps VA Beach will have better opportunities than here.

I'll start packing sometime tomorrow.

MK9 > MvC3

not only the best MK game, but it actually looks like you get your $60 out of it, unlike MvC3 which was pretty bare-bones with expensive add-on content. I haven't tried all of the modes but there seems to be quite a bit along with the Krypt. Story mode is pretty robust from what I've tried so far, but those Handicap matches seem a bit unfair (still winnable though).

I'm still baffled on how my character can still fight after being stabbed straight through the head twice though. :V

hey so after 4 or so years Lupe finally gets his album out, no thanks to Atlantic Records


and...it's basically the "808's & Heartbreak" of his discography. it seems a lot more generic compared to his previous works, which makes Rage sad. :[ instead of daydreamin', skateboardin, or "Dumbin' it Down", we get 9/11 conspiracies, anarchy, and some Auto-Tune.

a few songs are worth listening to like Til I Get There and The Show Goes On but overall it's not on the same level as his previous two.

maybe his next album can pull a Dark Twisted Fantasy, provided Atlantic doesn't screw him over :V

so anyways i traded-in a bunch of old games just so I could get MvC3 today

still adjusting to the slightly different control scheme, but so far im loving it. They skimped out on Single player modes tho (no Survival or Time Attack?). Right now I currently use Super Skrull, X-23, and im rotating around the 3rd character.

so i finally played it and all i can say is:

Fuck Sonic 4, this is the kick in the nuts Sonic needed for the past decade or so. I haven't enjoyed a Sonic game this much in a looooong time. Even the voice acting is better.

and holy shit this soundtrack is amazing i want this on my iPod immediately

but yeah Sonic Colors is definitive 3D Sonic game for me now, and what Unleashed should've been in the first place. :V

and...I'm actually trying to decide if I enjoy this more than the originals.

Gotta say Retro Studios really did their homework on this one. I'm particularly liking the new take on some of the old ideas, like the mine cart levels where everything is falling apart and you're riding on top of giant eggs, or the factory level where all of the machinery goes in time with the music. Speaking of factories that first stage was totally a reference to LIMBO.

On top of that it's actually pretty damn difficult, even with the health bars. Fortunately the game isn't too stingy about 1-ups. :V

The only things I really don't like so far are the forced motion controls, the lack of tagging (i.e. you can't use Diddy in Single Player), and the drawn-out boss battles. I also kinda wished David Wise was around to compose the soundtrack, but the songs are still good (they included remixed of various old DKC1 tunes).

Other than that, I'd recommend anyone with a Wii or in need of a platforming fix to get this game.

but...Sonic Team/Dimps has made a new Sonic game that doesn't suck (i.e. Sonic 4).

Granted it was a bit on the short side and I thought the music could've been a bit better, but it was better than anything they've crapped out in a long time. They even had actual platforming instead of just hold right to win during the whole stage.

Bravo, maybe they still have some credibility left in them. :V

Let's hope Sonic Colors and the next episodes don't screw it up.
