the only real disappointment is the lack of certain characters and no new remix of The Office theme (it's boarded up. Fortunately the new Street theme is all kinds of awesome)

they seem to be changing around a few things this time as well, because i've noticed a "Decision Wheel" as opposed to the usual list of questions, and then theres the talk about Gamepad support

also they finally updated the visuals (or at least made new lighting effects) and it looks amazing

Can't give you a good estimate on when ill hit regular production again (in past journals I'd say this and that, but never stuck to it :P), but i can say that the practice ive been doing for like almost a year is slowly starting to pay off and im slightly more confident in my abilities now.

To give a bit more insight, the reason I've been doing it so long is the fact that i practically threw away my old method entirely since it was ridiculously sloppy and had a poorly built foundation (or not much at all). I didn't really bother with anatomy and whatnot since at one point I was in that "Cartoons don't need anatomy!" mindset, which seriously bit me in the ass later on. So to remedy, I went back to square one and started all over again. Drawing shapes (to the point where i do it without much thought), muscle/bone anatomy, etc. All the things i neglected initially. While still can't draw a perfect figure to save my life i at least have a basic understanding of how it should work, just a matter of getting the proportions right and properly rendering it.

Back when I first started you noticed I was offering to color other peoples stuff. This was mostly to help develop a new color method whist I work on getting my regular figure skills up, in addition to keeping the gallery somewhat active. I've kinda slowed down on that now to put more emphasis on my regular drawing ability, but I'll get back to it soon, maybe with something a little less sloppy. :P

At the current moment I'm trying to make more use out of gesture and thumbnails to come up with poses, because back then I was terrible at planning out what I was going to draw, which contributed to many fail'd drawings. I'm particularly interested in some dynamic actions(not the stiff models at PoseManiacs) and some regular old stances, so if ya got any good places or pics of some hook a brotha up. :V

Right now here's a small a list of things I'm planning to tackle throughout the rest of the month into next year:

-The Human Head and Expressions
-Basic Human Proportions (I know how to draw all of the forms, I just have a tendency to make things too long or thick :X)
-Drapery and Folds
-Hands/Feet/Hair
-Characters in Perspective/Foreshortened Poses
-Rendering Forms
-Coloring
-Eventually Animals, BGs, Composition, etc. etc.

I should prolly at least start putting some more crappy little sketches around in the gallery, if only to keep it somewhat active (or just do more pixels lawl. p.s. i still plan on taking it further, just not at the current moment).

For the record I'm not getting rid of my art style you folks seem to really enjoy (if it wasn't evident in some of the sketches i posted in the past), I just think it could benefit from a better constructed foundation and some more influences. :V

tl;dr still no new drawings yet, but rage doesn't hate his skill level as much yet feels it still needs more tweaking.
