My Official Return to DJing/Mixing
General | Posted 13 years agoMost of you probably don't know this about me. Back in 2007, I started DJing on Second Life in this little club called Rainbow Tiger. It was awesome. I fell in love with it, and being able to entertain crowds of people was an exhilarating feeling. I had a couple stints at other clubs like The Yiff Factory, too, but Rainbow Tiger is where I mainly played at. I stopped DJing in 2008 for quite a few reasons. Suffice to say, it lost its charm when things kind of exploded at Rainbow Tiger.
But, after having just been to Rainfurrest and being immensely entertained by the DJs there, as I am at every furcon I go to, I've been really inspired to pick it back up again. :) And thanks to the huge inspiration of
tibolf
akonite
thumper
reccasenli, along with the rest of
furtherecord, well...last night, I made my first mix in over four years. :D Full of house, dubstep and trance.
Here it is! - http://db.tt/Xjp2oSMA
Give it a listen and tell me what you think. Again, this literally is the first time I've done this in a long time. So I wouldn't expect to hear me DJing at FC or anything anytime soon. :P

RF 2012 Post Con Report!
General | Posted 13 years agoSo I got back home from Rainfurrest a couple days ago and...wow! I can officially say that Rainfurrest is not ONLY an amazing convention, but it's by far the best con I've been to this year. It was actually better than FC this year, believe it or not, and miles better than Furry Fiesta. I had an absolutely wonderful time. :) RF has a really nice, spacious hotel, with an additional conference/convention center, where most of the main stuff happens, and I do like the overall layout. It allows for plenty of fursuiting, and the two headless lounges between the two buildings make it even more accommodating to the suiters. Also, the pool and hotel were awesome. :D This might sound strange to say, but the hotel did actually feel more like an apartment complex than an actual...hotel. Maybe that's just me. :P But I loved it all!
And, of course, I got to fursuit in Valentine for the first time! And as such, I think I can say Valentine's return to the fandom was a wonderful success! I got so many compliments about the design and uniqueness about the character, and a lot of people actually said it was there favourite suit, which is just mind-blowing! But I always gave the credit to
fluke as the original creator and owner of the suit. I can't take credit for anything. I just try to portray the character well and have fun with him. And like I said before, fursuiting really changes your perspective, outlook and experience of a con and it's such a fun thing to do. :D There was one negative aspect about it, though; Valentine's eyes are made from sunglass lenses, which means they fogged up constantly. I had a ton of anti-fog spray with me, and it didn't help. Often times I couldn't fully see. As such, if anyone felt like I ignored them or didn't acknowledge them at the con, please forgive me, because I probably just didn't see you. But despite all that, I still had a wonderful time suiting, and I brought Valentine out every single day of the con, for several hours at least!
Also, I was in the fursuit dance competition! Valentine appeared at the end, to do an exhibition dance! I was so nervous going out there, but once the music hit, I just let loose and went for it. The Youtube videos don't do it justice; being there and hearing people's cheers and applause right then and there just...energized me and pushed me even more. It was so amazing and mind-blowing at the same time! Here's a video of Valentine's dance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzEHhyu3Nno
And speaking of dances, I continued Fluke's tradition of tearing up the dance floor in fursuit every chance I got at the evening dances, and that was by far some of the most fun I had at the con. :3 ESPECIALLY at the Dead Dog dance. Seriously, I loved dancing in Valentine; there's just something about being an attractive, sexy dingo, and being able to walk up to someone and essentially say, "C'mere. You're gonna dance with me, and you're fuckin' gonna love it," simply by grabbing them.
divio knows what I'm talking about. :P Also, the DJs! The DJs kicked ass! Fur The Record is fucking amazing! This is their home con, so you know they were gonna make it epic. :3
Another thing that made Rainfurrest so great was that I knew so many people there! A lot of my friends go to this con, and it was wonderful running into them and making so many new friends as well! A special thanks goes to
alastair letting me plant my stuff in your room before I could get my own hotel room. I got to meet and hang out with far, far too many people to name, but

And it's little things like going to dinner at BJ's or Cheesecake Factory with a group of awesome furs that also made this con such a fun time.
And I do have to say how wonderful it was to see all the Vancouver furs again. Seriously, you guys are one of my favourite furry groups in the world, and seeing all you guys again made me so freaking happy. You guys helped make this convention awesome for me.
And it really has to be said: staffing at a con can be a really thankless job. It's something I'd NEVER want to do, and I don't feel that staff ever gets enough credit. Well, as someone who just attended their very first Rainfurrest, I can say the staff did a wonderful job. Sure, there were hiccups, as they are at every con, but the staff really busted their asses to make this con awesome. Seriously. They did everything for us, especially for the fursuiters.
By the way, I now own both Unconditional and Red Lantern. Signed by rukis herself. About time, huh? :P
And now more than ever, I want to move to Seattle! If it wasn't clear enough how much I already loved Seattle, well...now I want to all the more! I love you Seattle furs. :D
And there you have it! My first Rainfurrest, and again, I had a blast! I absolutely look forward to going next year, and I recommend every furry attend this convention if they get a chance!

The (Unofficial) Theme Song for Unconditional is...
General | Posted 13 years agoOver The Ocean by
foxamoore
Unfortunately, if you look through his FA gallery, you will not find this song, because it is an album exclusive that belongs to his beautifully crafted album Feel. You can purchase the album right here - http://www.freewebstore.org/FoxAmoo.....3_2873029.aspx I can tell you point blank that this album contains some of the best and most beautiful music Fox has ever composed, and if you enjoyed his theme song to Cruelty (or any of the music he has posted on FA), then you will not only love this album, but also the song I have chosen as the unofficial theme for Unconditional. You can check out a preview of the album here - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5280592/
To me, Over The Ocean is a beautiful, heartfelt song that very much captures and conveys the emotions, trials, and struggles portrayed in Unconditional. It might very well be my favourite song from Fox Amoore to date. And that's saying a lot. This is a song that feels much more "mature" for the characters and their conflict(s) this time around. As such, I likely won't be using Cruelty's theme song for Unconditional's radioplay (especially since
Rukis told me it wouldn't fit for Unconditional).
So. If you guys are serious about hearing a radioplay adaptation for Unconditional, then I implore you to buy Feel. It truly is a remarkable gem within Fox's discography, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed when listening to it.

Fox News Sequel! + 2000 watchers!
General | Posted 13 years agoIt's official. I am writing a sequel to Fox News. It's been a hard process trying to come up with a legitimate sequel for a story like this, but it is indeed happening, in addition to the radioplay adaptation of the original Fox News story (which is being delayed).
Also, it seems I've reached 2000 watchers! I'm just...overjoyed! It's mind-blowing that so many of you are interested in the stuff that I'm doing. It's incredibly flattering, and I thank each and every one of you for following what I do, whether it be stories, voice overs, fursuiting or whatever. Thanks a lot, you guys. :)

Rainfurrest 2012 Meme/Valentine's return to furry cons!
General | Posted 13 years agoHey, guys! I'm going to Rainfurrest for the first time this year, and I'm pretty excited. :3 I also want to let people to know that I'm bringing Valentine, and that this is the FIRST time Valentine will be at a furcon since
fluke took him to Eurofurence in 2008. It's been four years, but this dingo will definitely be at Rainfurrest!

Today's my birthday!
General | Posted 13 years agoYup, just turned 24!
I want to write a story called... Insheption.
General | Posted 13 years agoOfficially announcing: Unconditional
General | Posted 13 years agoYes, that's right, by far the #1 question I've been asked time and again over the past year. And the answer is, yes, I am going to do the audioplay adaptation of
rukis's Unconditional.
I have to say, I wasn't ready to make the announcement this early. I wanted to wait at least until after my radioplay for Fox News was done, but I've gotten this question so many times that I didn't think it was fair to keep you guys waiting for an answer any longer. I just didn't feel comfortable keeping quiet about it anymore. So yes, safe to say, I am going to do Unconditional. :)
I want to stress that I'm only going to do it AFTER Fox News is done. Voice over-wise, Fox News is the most important thing to me at the moment and it's the radioplay adaptation I'm currently invested in. Once it's finished, then I can work on Unconditional.
Now here are a couple issues.
One, I...don't actually have the graphic novel. Yeah, I don't...own Unconditional. :-P I guess I just haven't gotten around to buying it. It hasn't really been a priority, so...yeah, I don't have it. :P And for that matter, I don't have Red Lantern, either.
Second,
foxamoore, who composed the immensely beautiful theme song for Cruelty two years ago has...not made anything for Unconditional. And I don't know if he's going to. If I'm going to do Unconditional, I'd really love to have him on board with a new theme song composed for it. So I guess we'll have to see what happens with that.
Third,
osfer (who voiced multiple characters in Cruelty) who has been my main and faithful collaborator has been incredibly busy with stuff in his real life. So much so, that he hasn't really had much time to devote to the furry fandom lately. As such, I haven't talked to him in months. If I'm going to do Unconditional, I really want him on board with me as well. I mean seriously, who would be better than HIM at voicing fucking LOOOOUUUU?! You guys can't handle ALL THIS! :D
Fourth, there might be some cast changes this time around. For instance, I'm very interested in voicing Marcus Laramie this time around, because I personally think he's become the more interesting character. Like, really. I adore Marcus. I'm not saying that this will actually happen; I'm merely saying I'm interested in playing him.. In all likelyhood, I'll probably end up voicing Reis again. Next, I really want to bring
lace in this time around as well. After Marcus' original voice actor dropped out,
lace was the guy I was talking to about voicng the character until
savrin took the role. So yeah, it'd be great to have him on board this time around.
Fifth, I think (or at least hope) my voice over work has gotten a lot better since Cruelty. In terms of acting, editing and direction, I think I've improved a lot over what I could do two years ago. And I want reflect that in Unconditional. If I'm gonna do this adaptation, I want it to be in every way better than Cruelty, because looking back on it, I think it could have been better, though I am of course happy that it exists. I just want it to have a substantial leap of improvement; the same kind that Rukis herself showed when making the graphic novel, becasue it is a lot better. I want this radioplay to be so much better. That's why it's so important for me to hold off until after Fox News is done, because I have to be completely ready and fully invested in this thing. I hope you guys understand.
So, yeah. With that, I've got a projected release date of May 25th, 2013. That should give
foxamoore and
osfer enough time to catch up with their stuff, so they can hopefully be part of this. I certainly hope so. So yeah, here's to Unconditional. I just...still need to get the graphic novel first. :P
rukis's Unconditional.
So I guess we'll have to see what happens with that.Third,
osfer (who voiced multiple characters in Cruelty) who has been my main and faithful collaborator has been incredibly busy with stuff in his real life. :DFourth, there might be some cast changes this time around. Journey of Destitute Trailer for Rocky Mountain Fur Con!
General | Posted 13 years agoSo, the marketing director over from Rocky Mountain Fur Con have been gracious enough to let me turn my Journey of Destitute story into an actual radioplay adaptation to use as a trailer for the convention this year! Can you imagine that? Hearing all that stuff happen in the story, hearing the characters say those lines...that just sounds awesome to me. Yeah, I know the story's short, so the trailer wouldn't be very long, but I'm incredibly excited and honoured that I get to do this! It's a real pleasure, honestly.
So, yeah, I've been working on that for the past couple days, and if I'm lucky, I can probably have it out by August 1st. I'm teaming up with
wolly once again to voice the characters, and he's such a wonderful pleasure to work with.
So, yeah, look out for the quick adaptation trailer of Journey of Destitute soon! And to those going to Rocky Mountain Fur Con this year, I hope you guys have a wonderful time!

The Valentine Fursuit created by Fluke...
General | Posted 13 years ago...Now belongs to me!
That's right, I actually bought Valentine off
fluke just a couple days ago. The feeling I have right now is just... indescribable. I'm so happy, excited, and overjoyed that it's hard to put into words!
Now I'm willing to bet many people didn't even know Fluke had a fursuit; well, here's some old pictures of him in suit back in 2008 from AC and EF that year:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2349202/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2349204/ And here's a video of him dancing in suit at EF 14 https://youtu.be/zoBgaxe_SVs
And lastly, check out the initial concept art. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1409511/
So yeah, I'm kind of floating on air right now. I like how this all works out, because Fluke is more or less the same size as me. So yeah, you know I'll be bringing Valentine to cons now and having all sorts of fun! I'm so happy to finally be part of the fursuit part of this fandom now. Having fursuited at FC 2012 and Furry Fiesta 2012, I really want to reiterate how much fursuiting can change your entire experience of a convention. You see it through different eyes (literally), it gives you a new perspective, and it opens up a whole new WORLD of fun that I never even dreamed of. And now that I have my own fursuit, well... I'm so freaking happy, it's unbelievable. :)
Now I know some people are gonna find this kinda weird, having bought Valentine instead of having a fursuit of... Rahne. Well, the truth is, I'm actually commissioning
onefurall to make a suit of Rahne, as we speak. But they have a long queue and I probably won't get that suit until late next year, maybe in time for MFF 2013. Those guys are hands down my favourite suit makers, and I can't really imagine anyone else but them making a suit of Rahne.
So why did I buy Valentine from Fluke? A few reasons, actually; 1) I really wanted a fursuit, and waiting until late next year to receive my suit from
onefurall is just... unappealing. I don't like having to wait that long, and in the meantime, now that I KNOW what it's like to go suiting, I feel so much like I'd be missing out at the cons I go to between now and then. So, with that, I figured it'd be a good idea to get another suit in the meantime. 2) I had come across Valentine once again on FA (I don't remember how), and I immediately remembered how much I loved that suit. Believe it or not, this is the first and only fursuit
fluke has ever made, and I think it looks incredible. And I think it's a lot better than he gives himself credit for. It's very unique and Fluke did quite a few things to it that I've never actually seen (or thought) other suit makers would do. Honestly, I think this is an incredibly cool character and one that I feel confident enough to continue suiting in even AFTER I get Rahne. 3) Going on from the second point, I was initially hesitant about getting another suit, because I had fears that I would more or less abandon this "temporary" fursuit after I got Rahne. I even strongly debated creating a secondary fursona to try and curb that. But, with Valentine, I don't feel that way. This is a fursuit I'm so overjoyed with, that I'm absolutely confident I'll continuing wearing even after I get Rahne. Definitely.
I really am honoured that Fluke has been so nice and cordial about relieving the suit to me. It feels like something special, like a privilege that this is even happening. I haven't worn the suit yet, but just the anticipation has me soaring like I'm walking on clouds...kinda like Ian in that one story after having sex with Jamie. You know, you just feel so...waggy. :)
Be on the lookout for pictures, because I'll be posting some eventually!

You know what I want to see?

If you could sleep with any of my characters...
General | Posted 13 years agoWho would you sleep with? And that includes all my characters from my stories. So, whether it be Ian, Jamie, Devon, Kemen, Ewan, Aiden, Alley, Ket, Camden, etc, etc. That also includes Rahne. :P
So yeah, if you could sleep with any of my characters (including Rahne), who would it be? :) Just curious. :P
(I'm almost done with a new story that I've just finished the sex scene for, so it just got me wondering :P)

Voice Acting in the Furry Fandom (a panel)
General | Posted 13 years agoSo, with me going to Rainfurrest and MFF for the first time this year, I wanted to give more than just writing panels, like I'm usually inclined to do (though I will be giving writing panels as well). Most people in the fandom who know me probably know me more for my voice acting than my writing, and I get a lot of questions asking for some sort of advice on this or that. So, I figure, why not doing a voice acting panel at one (or both) of the next cons that I go to?
I'd give a pretty indepth talk about what it's like to do voice acting in the furry fandom, everything ranging from recording to editing to directing, and everything I can cover. You'll get to hear how I do things personally, the way I work, my recommendations, and my general advice on the subject.
So! If you've ever really wanted to hear my advice on voice acting AT ALL, or just how I personally do things with my own projects, NOW is the time to speak up and say something. If you're planning on attending either Rainfurrest or MFF this year, is this a panel you'd like to see from me at all? Let me know, guys. Don't just read over this journal without saying anything, because it's YOUR guys' input that'll determine how this panel goes or if I even do it. Is there anything specifically about voice acting that you guys would like me to cover in this panel if I do it? Please let me know. Again, a lot of you guys have asked me for my advice before, so if you really want to hear what I have to say, now is the time to really let me know.
And, as a little treat for those who WON'T be attending either convention this year, I'll post a detailed summary on FA covering everything I talked about in my panel.
So, what do you guys think? What specifically would you guys like to me to cover in this panel? Please speak up now.

Everyone, please be patient...
General | Posted 13 years agoI suppose it's about time I spoke on this.
For the past year or so, I've been getting questions all over the place, whether in notes, IMs, or Twitter, about whether or not I was going to do a certain... adaptation. Well, adaptations.
I want to make this first part very clear: I'm not ignoring you. Believe me, I'm really, really not ignoring any of you, and I take note of these questions everytime someone asks me, especially since I've been asked so much.
It really does flatter me how many of you guys have asked me about this and that you're so excited to see me do it, or that you even have the confidence in me to get them done. And for that, I say, thanks a whole bunch. I really do appreciate it.
Part of the reason why I haven't always responded to these questions is because most of the time I don't really know what to say. Again, it's flattering to have so many of you asking me about this, and at times it's a little overwhelming.
But for now, all I can say to you guys is to please, please wait until my radioplay adaptation for Fox News is done. It's due to be out in mid-September. For all intents and purposes, this is the radioplay/adaptation I'm currently committed to, and it means a whole lot to me, because this is my own story. This is for me. This is something I really want to do. I'm also committed to something else that I'm supposed to do soon as well.
The main purpose of this journal is to tell you guys, yes, I do hear all of you, and I'm not ignoring you. I'm just asking you to be patient.
