Skype...
Posted 11 years agoI know allot of people are asking me when i'm on Skype. In short, I don't really use Skype. Yes I have a Skype account but I almost never use it. Usually the only times I do use it is when I want to video chat with family members over the holidays. Plus Skype has a weird thing with my profile where it says i'm online even when i'm not online. So please know that i'm not ignoring you guys, i'm just not really there. Honestly I didn't know Skype was such a big deal to so many people these days. I'm just not up to date with social media. I mean, just last week I learned about a thing called Snapchat that I think is a popular social media thing?
Oh well.
But for the future if you all want to get in touch with me then here on FA is the best place to get a hold of me.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Probably once in a while here and there i'll be on Skype but don't depend on that.

Seattle Fur: Tim's back story
Posted 11 years ago I understand that a lot of Tim fans and fans of the comic in general were a little disappointed in seeing only one page (crudely done I have to admit) covering Tim's origins. The reason for it was because for the sake of the pacing of the scene in Rick's apartment. Rain and Rick are going to be talking for a while and they need to touch on several subjects during that time. If I throw 10-20 pages of back story for Tim in the middle of things then it would distract from what's currently happening and make this chapter feel cluttered and unbalanced. (IMO)
That being said I don't want any one character in Seattle Fur to feel less important than the others. So instead of having an entire section dedicated to Tim's back story. His back story will go into detail over the course of the entire story. As in one page of back story will be posted between pages covering current events. Current story, current story, back story page, current story, current story, back story page, etc.
Sound good to you guys? I just thought I should let y'all know since that single page felt like a cop out.
PS. I don't know what happened with that one back story page. It looked like I devolved back to my old drawing style. It just looked blegh. Maybe it was because I was producing grown up drawings of Rain and Rick in the apartment like a mass producing factory that suddenly drawing the old gang back in high school threw me off. Oh well, live and learn.

Enough of u18Chan
Posted 11 years agoI'm relatively new to u18chan. I wasn't aware of it's existence till less than a year ago perhaps.
Pretty much I'm not too crazy about it. The anonymity of everything on there is enoying because way too many people bitch about stupid things and sound childish. Unlike on FA where there are profiles and reputations with those profiles that filter people's darker inner voices.
I guess I'm just tired of going on to u18chan and seeing comments on my comic that cuss me out because someone's favorite paring doesn't seem likely or talking about how shitty and stupid this character is or that one.
Bleh, I don't know what I'm acomplishing with this but I guess it's just nice to voice out how I'm getting a little exhausted with all the flaming.

Submission sizing problem
Posted 11 years agoSo does anyone else have a problem with the resizing of the submissions?
I normally resubmit my Seattle Fur pages so they can be viewed full sized but for some reason recently (with the last few pages) resubmitting the file doesn't display the full size.

And Rainfurrest is done
Posted 11 years agoYup I'm back home and all the fun is done. It was a blast but now I'm back to work. Some of the con staff wanted me to do art for their conbook next year. Wouldn't that be exciting?
And as I walked up to the Furplanet table in the dealers den, one of the guys immediately knew who I was and expressed how much he liked Seattle Fur. He also said that Furplanet would be very interested in publishing it if I was interested so that gave me some ideas...

Since it's in my own back yard how could I resist?
So if you recognize me there don't be afraid to say hi. I'll spend half and half time in fursuit and just myself, so keep sharp.

See No Evil review
Posted 11 years agoOkay so today I played See No Evil by
CaptainGerBear And I loved it!
Okay so first off See No Evil is an adult bara game about a human named Orsino who one day wakes up naked outside his house only to discover that he has been dragged into Limbo where he is greeted by a cast of lascivious demons who want to use his body for their desires. Orsino then has to explore the demon castle owned by the mischievous Lord Barrod to find a way to get home to the human world.
You navigate using the left and right arrow keys or the A D keys to move left and right through the grounds and the up down arrow keys or W S keys to speak with the residents and pick up information on how to make them forge pacts with you in order to perform a complex ritual that will have many outcomes based on how you perform it. There are seven endings to the game and the 'gooder' the endings the harder they are to achieve especially since there are a series of specific events that need to play out in order.
The art is very well done as it's all drawn by
CaptainGerBear himself albeit all in black and white. The style is pixelated, reminiscent to old woodcut prints you would normally see in works like the divine comedy or Jost Amman. It works to give an ancient world atmosphere to the demonic castle settings.
I loved this game so much. At first I thought it was going to be some raunchy porno game (not really a bad thing) but was shocked to find out how much heart the game had. The story is actually very moving and most of the characters are very deep and compelling. Under it's thick layer of sexual escapades lies a story that tenderly and in most cases viciously tugs at your heart stings. It's a shame that the graphic nature will most likely put off most gamers, because this game is a must buy. It should also be said that a sequel is strongly desired.
You can get the demo free to get a feel for what you're getting yourself into.

Seattle Fur Spring Break Demo?
Posted 11 years agoWould you guys be interested in a SFSB beta demo?
It would let you go through the first two days through the story but be warned, it is still a work in progress so there might be a few misspelled words or a song here or there that might end abruptly or at an odd timing.
I could have it posted tonight. but only if you guys are interested.
Guaranteed to keep you entertained for at least 20 minutes. more so if you go back and see different outcomes.
So far Rain's story is the only 'polished' route available.

Seattle fur spring break main character
Posted 11 years agoI need some advice. What should the main character be? (The character players play as.) I was thinking just keeping him as a generic unknown guy so anyone could identify with him.
But what do you guys think? Should he be a human or is that too much like Morenatsu? (Although other than gay furry guys, it's nothing like Morenatsu.)
Should he be a common speciese of anthro? Or would that alienate too many people?
It's not like we'll see his face or go into detail about him. It would just be good to have a base model to dive into the story with.

Sexuality?
Posted 11 years agoSomething has been brought to my attention. It seams that a few people or more than a few (not sure how many) are confused about my sexuality. People don't know if I'm gay straight or bi.
So lets have a poll.

Voices of Seattle Fur
Posted 11 years agoSo recently I've put some thought into what the characters of Seattle Fur would sound like. Now the game won't have voice acting just because I don't know anyone with voice acting talent, also that would be damn expensive.
But I have put together a list of professional voice actors that I think sound perfect for the rolls of the main characters.
Rain - Johnny Young Bosch http://youtu.be/FQ4yI6nhTik
Mr. Bosch has a very "best buddy" sounding voice I think. The role of Ichigo was a little too punkish for me but if he were to find a balance between Bleach's Ichigo and Eureka 7's Renton then I think he would be perfect as Rain.
Another possibility was Quintin Flynn the man who played Raiden from the metal gear solid series but the voice was just a bit too off.
Garret - Freddie Prince JR http://youtu.be/NfUGeBHaRRQ
This was the hardest to figure out. I wanted a deep voice to match Garret's physique but all the deep voiced actors all sounded too old to play him. I almost went with Beau Billingslea, the voice actor to Jet from Cowboy Bebop decided it was a little too mature. Luckily I remembered Mass Effect 3 and thought Freddie Prince JR had the perfect voice for Garret. He was great as James Vega (who was essentially a Latino version of Garret) and his voice doesn't sound too over the top.
Tim - Aaron Dismuke http://youtu.be/IC2x8J0zJjU (the first part)
Tim, I went back and forth on between Greg Cipes (Teen Titan's Beast Boy) and Aaron Dismuke.
Aaron Dismuke (the voice of Alphonse Elric from Full Metal Alchemist) eventually won it out because his later works has his voice sounding a little more mature than 14. I thought Tim should have a very youthful voice and Aaron fits the bill.
Nora - Colleen Clinkenbeard http://youtu.be/AZYceuv7z8g
I wanted her to sound elegant yet strong. So Colleen Clinkenbeard (voice of Risa Hawkeye from full metal alchemist) sounded perfect. Not much thought went into it I always loved her voice.
A contender I kinda considered was the voice a Lucy from Elfen Lied. But that linked a little too butch. I'm sure she could soften it up but Colleen is my fave.
So while you guys are reading the comic, you can imagine those voice actors reading the lines. :)
Do you guys agree? Who do you think would be a better fit for the roles?

Still alive
Posted 11 years agoHi guys. Wanted to let you all know I'm still alive and still working. Apparently the game is taking longer to make than initially thought. But it's still being developed. Althought I'm not done yet. Not by a long shot.
So I have to ask you guys something.
Should I separate the work I've been doing on the game so I can continue the comic between breaks? It will make the game development slow down allot but at least I can socialize with you guys and continue the story.
Also big shout out to
-husky92- miss you bro and thanks for all the you know what's! :)

Seattle Fur Spring Break confirmed
Posted 12 years agoI decided to go ahead an officially announce that I'll be making a visual novel/furry dating sim for Seattle Fur Spring Break. And not just fake screenshots submitted to my gallery with links to the next screenshots. I plan to create an actual video game dating sim for Windows and Mac. It will be complete with soundtracks, sound effects, and other various effects to.
But of course I don't plan on abandoning the Seattle Fur comic just yet. This is where I need your guy's opinions.
Once this current chapter of Seattle Fur is finished which will be in two more pages. Will you all be okay with the comic going on a brief hiatus so I can work on the video game? I really don't think the videogame will take too long to make, possibly for a few months at most. But this will also need some money to get started. So if everyone is okay with the comic going on hiatus then after this chapter is finished I will request donations so the SF spring break game can be put into production. Donations will go to the purchase of royalty-free music for the soundtrack. That's the only thing I can think of that requires actual money for me to purchase but royalty-free music is expensive. Other things like sound effects I will pay out-of-pocket.
Also, you guys would have to do me the huge solid of spreading the word as far and wide as you can.
Post this Journal in your journals or just send a shout and give them the jist. Whatever you think you can manage. :)
