3 things to not really do to an artist...;]
Posted 9 years agosome helpful tips from an artist's prospective
(Note this is my opinion. Everyone is different)
1.) To commission an artist, and request that artist to draw in the style of another artist is rude. Please don't. I put this first since I believe firmly in it.
2.) Frankensteining...when one has no ref...and takes many many...many....many (over 10) pictures....and points out qualities in each picture that go with their character. This is acceptable if the commission is you getting a ref sheet of a character that doesn't have one. But if it's a normal commission....please leave the Frankensteining to like...4-5 images. :>
3.) Super...duper...extreme precisness..."I'd like them standing on one leg. The left leg. With the ears at 45° angles. The wind blowing through their hair. Please only 6 strands of bangs and 20 strands of back hair. Have the fingers splayed evenly with 3 inches between each finger tip. The shirt must be wrinkled in only the chest area and by the left hand." (You'd be surprised....no joke some people do this). specifications are good, and nice to have and okay to have. But I don't know of many artist who's going to whip out the measuring tape and math skills to do a com...

Posted 9 years agoI'll be doodling in my spare time but I am moving (again) and have to be out of the place I'm in now by April 1st. I bought my own little 2 bedroom trailer but it has yet to be moved to the lot at my husbands parents place. So I'll be living with my in-laws for a while hopefully not too long (I wanna be in my own hoooome)
What does that mean for my artingness? It means I'll probably not be uploading too much for the weeks to come. But once I'm moved in and settled I'll be back to my usual self. :>

Posted 9 years agoI can not understand people who....aren't true to themselves.
People let's play a game....I will give a scenario and you tell me if it's annoying as fu*k or not. :)
Senario 1:
"I draw porn!" -6 months later after meeting a popular SFW artist- "I am a clean artist, I will not draw porn!" -Another 3 months later.- "LOOK AT THIS PORN" -Next day- "POrn's okay but I wont do it. I'll just commission it, but I wont draw it."
Scenario 2:
"I am classified as a furry" -3 months later- "I am not a furry, I just happen to DRAW animals and animal porn....BUT not all porn....I don't draw porn...only sometimes, But I'm not a furry....Furries are fine furries are actually REALLY awesome, but I'm just not one, I'm not...why would I wanna be? Yeah, I have animal characters but I am not...so yeah."
Scenario 3:
"^-^ Oh cool, this batch of bipity adopts you did, they are so cute and original! :DD" -2 hours later- "Look at this Bopity batch of adopts I have here.~ There so cute and original.~"
Okay, I get that people have changes of heart, and changes of mind, but there's a point between that and.....being fake.
And by that I mean, there ARE some people in the world who change their preferences and ideas and heck their artistic style to match that of another person's preferences or ideas.
If I say My favorite animal is a dolphin to impress someone, when it's really a wolf,...who's losing here? Me.... Because then I'm going to draw lots of dolphins, and not wolves....which is what make's me really happy. Ya dig?
(I actually love dolphins, so cute. x3 I love wolves too XD)
When you lie and change and morph yourself into other things to impress another, you're only hurting yourself. The people around you WILL see the real you....which will eventually look like a shapeless figure...
Moral of the story, please, be true to yourself. Don't look at others as if they are better than you, and think to yourself, "I wanna be them!" It's OKAY to be inspired by someone, but it's not okay to try to BECOME them.....There's even an episode of Lizzie McGuire that covers this topic. :3

Posted 10 years agoI can honestly say I've never actually CRIED for a famous person, I mean, I've shed a tear at tributes and felt sad, but....I'm really sad about David Bowie's death...He was the goblin king, and he sang beautifully and he was so....HIM one of a kind....AHH this is a sad sad day....
