Remember that pre-reg ends September first. Attending memberships must be paid by then to lock in your discounted rate. GoH Dinner and Ice Cream Social ticket sales also close on that date. Speaking of the GoH dinner, the number of beef and chicken meals has been increased, but tickets are still limited.
Dance com info will be live on the website on Sunday, we will let y'all know just as soon as that is available.
Dont forget about the meeting tomorrow! 1 pm to 4 pm, Seatac hilton. Public is welcome as always.
DJ applications end tonight at 11:59 pm.

Hotel room shortage and VIP Packages, etc.

A few things today.
First off, due to the fact that we are sharing RF2014 weekend with a large Ingress event (Helios), all the hotels in the area are booked solid for that weekend. Main hotel, over flow, and all other hotel's are booked. We suggest using the #RFRoomShare hashtag on Twitter, or checking out the roomshare thread on the forums. We will retweet any room share tweets using that hash tag.

Several areas of the con need multiple people to help out.

Over flow hotel information

Just to let everyone know, the main hotel has run out of double rooms. There are only a few single king bed rooms left available and those wont last long. So below is some information about overflow. There is no con rate in the overflow hotel, just let them know your date range, and what size of room you need.

2014 Rainfurrest Anthology Invitation

On behalf of the 2014 Rainfurrest Charity Anthology staff, we would like to invite you to submit a story for one or both of the Anthologies we intend to publish for the upcoming convention. This year, Rainfurrest has decided to publish two separate anthologies. The first will be our standard G to PG-13, as well as a new, Adult-Oriented Anthology, with a more mature audience in mind. It is the hope of the Anthology Staff that this will broaden the scope of participation, and expand the readership of the anthology, while at the same time raising more money for charity.
We at Rainfurrest hope you will consider helping us all make next year’s anthologies the best yet! Please let us know if you are interested in either of our Anthologies this year, and if so, which one you would like to participate in (Or both, if you are feeling ambitious!). A breakdown of the rules and guidelines follows.
Thank you for your time and participation, and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
Anthology Rules:
Theme: Cyberpunk
Some of the best examples of this genre are William Gibson's Neuromancer, or Neal R. Stephenson's Snow Crash, and many of the works of Philip K. Dick. Movie-wise, movies like Blade Runner (Based off of Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electronic Sheep), Johnny Mnemonic (Which is based in William Gibson's Short Story), and Strange Days all have cyberpunk elements to them. Many examples exist in Anime, the most well known in the form of Bubblegum Crisis, Ghost In the Shell, and Akira.
Another great source of reference materials are the Tabletop RPGs Cyberpunk 2020 and Shadowrun.
Original Anthology Content Rating: G to PG
Adult Anthology Content Rating: R to Soft X
Word Count: 6,000-12,000 words
Submission Guidelines:
-Please, do not put your submission in the body of your email!
-All items must be submitted in a .doc or docx format in 12 Point Font, and double-spaced for easy reading.
-Please do not submit any work you have already published or placed on a website such as Fur Affinity, or Fanfiction.net.
-If you have an Artist set to do an illustration with your work, please advise in your submission email with their contact information, and let us know if you have their permission.
-All submissions will be considered donated, and all profits from the Anthology will be going to The Clouded Leopard Project.
Deadline Schedule:
-Initial Submissions Deadline: March 30th, 2014
We will attempt to respond by May 15th, 2014 with the stories chosen for the anthology, and begin to look for artists to work with the respective stories.
-Editted Submissions Deadline: June 15th, 2014

So just wanted Y'all to know that pre-reg for Rainfurrest 2014 opens tomorrow, November 15, 2013!
We're so excited to see you there that we are offering a discount to attending memberships for a limited time!
Attending memberships will be discounted to $25 through December 15, 2013. (Membership must be paid by December 15 for discounted rate to apply.)
All other levels of membership remain at their regular pricing, but are available for pre-reg as well. Pre-reg will be open until the end of August 2014.
