General | Posted 15 years agook the day started out innocent enough. planned a hiking trip to the Angeles National forest. a place that a great roo (whom I miss ... Kironeem o.o) and I once went with NilesFoxbat and Huepow00. The road was closed when we got there, main entrance to the spot, we tried to get in further north and that just ended in failure and a car blowing smoke, we had to stop at panda express to let it cool down.
Decided that a beach run might be nice. originally we planned to go to Santa Monica, but after much discussion, we decided to head down to Mission Viejo to this secluded little beach that I loved to hang out at. Traffic was epic... slow enough that i could have walked to the beach faster, but not until we were wayyy down the road from any notable beach.
The original plan was to get some swim trunks and go swimming. stopped at the store, didnt have anything in our size. the bunny wears 33inch waist... only had 38s or more. Niles decided to try on this skin tight pair of swim trunks that completely showed his junk over in the fitting room, thankfully there was only one family with children there. Yes little billy, that is a 19 year olds junk at eye level, too bd hes unobservant, didnt see the child 3 inches from his crotch while he was saying "does this look terrible on my ass?" poor kid nearly lost his eye......we decided to forego the shopping and enjoy the water as we were...
When we got there, it was beautiful.... the sun was hidden by a thin cloud layer, the scenery was epic. since we didnt get swim trunks at Walmart, we just went for a walk.
I being myself, decided to just go waist deep in the water and enjoy myself, eventually convincing the others to join me. We spent the evening frolicking, even Niles who is perpetually apathetic was amazed with the geography of this location. we enjoyed a good stroll along the shore. I was actually relaxing, feeling pretty good, walking bare foot along the rocks.
Eventually we made it to the main beach area, a mile down the coast... you have to cross it while heading to some of the hidden areas.... we were greeted by a very perky 3 ft tall lifeguard who came to us with a concerned look......
"you havent been in the water have you?" she bleeted like a little sheep.."why yes, me and my friends were relaxing in a small tideal pool over by those rocks!"
"oh," she said " because the water has been closed off due to contamination, you see the local sewage treetment plant had a failure in one of thier filters, and its been spilling raw sewage into the sea water, about 400 ft from this spot since yesterday" she says as she points to a huge overflow pipe spewing some very foul smelling fluids into the ocean....
"you need to shower immediately, or your going to be very sick..."
fortunately, only my lower half, just to my waistline had been submerged, no open cuts, no sores so overall i should be fine, but the rush to the shower was only eclipsed by the storming of the Nazis over the Europe.
Driving home, just heads hung low, I was stopped at the light along aliso creek road. not looking, i had my windows down, i decided to shreak "Wheeeeeee! OMG!" at the top of my lungs to explain how careless we were frolicking in the poo soup.... the girls not 2 feet from me in a bmw with the windows down decided this was some "mating" ritual that i was trying to start with them, so they followed me for 10 miles trying to catch us stopping somewhere, there were so preoccupied with 3 decent looking guys in a Mercedes Benz (us, the flamboyantly gay trio) that they nearly rear ended a rather high end Porsche as they were staring at us...
eventually they dropped chase, but my car was struggling to move, i did not stop because i didnt want to be attacked by some giddy chicks with thier coochies all reared up... we just made it to a gas station (barely) with a stall sputter of my engine as we made it to the pumps of a local mobile gas station...
this was 6 hours of failure. 2, I love you, your wise beyond your years and i am learning to listen to you... you warned me... and i didnt listen... should have listened to bird o.o

I WILL be at anthrocon, though at great financial strife, its going to be worth it. I will actually also be wearing a 3 piece suit for part of the event. This will be a first for well...all of you... to see me like this. Amazing how the gryphon has had his influence on me, but I love him so.
I will be taking guitar lessons. Its time I start writing metal. I've personafied myself as that 80's rocker, its time that I start creating my own metal possibly appearing onstage someday soon :)
Wow, what a month, I've been so busy i have not been on line much.between work, and Antheria. Just met with the sound and lighting guy, we are trying to work out the logistics of having several fog machines with the LA fire department. The nightly dance is going to be EPIC. The movie room will be a true theater (rear screen projector) showing some awesome stuff and hosting some great performances of its own. 40,000 watts of sound total will be rockin the joint. Yeah, we are going full hollywood production on this convention :) its a first year but you will want to be there... I'm not joking this are serious con. Talking to Lost energy drinks and Monster as well as Redbull for some giveaway stuff, talking to EVGA for door prizes, going to check with a few other companies about dropping thier paws in to make this a completely awesome convention. We are estimating a record first year attendance. Show us you want to see an awesome con by registering at the link on the bottom of this post.
Theres some interesting fan art floating around of me that i run across every now and then, I want to thank all the artist who have taken the time to draw me, and question thier sanity for feeling inspired by a butter loving Tan and black rabbit named Toast O_o
Soon, I will be posting my first blurbs of music on FA.. song lyrics, small riffs I am playing with here and there, possibly some stuff I think is cool that i make in fast tracker. It wont be complete, it wont be a final product, its just going to be WIP. I hope everyone will enjoy it, but if not, I will flog you with bacon and move on.

Anthrocar 2 has begun!
General | Posted 15 years agoI was fortunate to stumble across a beautiful car not to long ago. the owner lost his license and had 3 cars, this was a toy project that he knew nothing about.
Runs better than most new cars today. Its a 1995 Mercedes Benz E420
This will be the car going up for auction for the anthrocar 2 project.
I'll be showing the work in progress at Antheria this year. You gotta be there to get first dibs on a spot.
I will be mailing interior pieces around the world to artists who will donate thier time and creativity to this project. once complete, The exterior will receive a loving collection of some of the msot amazing and notable artist in the fandom.
The project is expected to take a year and a half, just in time for Antheria 2011. The auction will be held during the charity auction and to be fair to every artist who submits, the car will be the first to go up for bid.
If you dont know what anthrocar is or where it started, dont feel confused, it was something I did in commemeration of the first anthrocon i attended in 2003. my 1987 Lincoln Town car was placed outside the dealers room and paint pens were handed out so artists could cover the car in art, people could sign it and even if you couldnt draw, you were given the chance to puut something on it somewhere.
Every inch of the car was covered in furry art, and I had people taking pictures with it everywhere i went, celebrities even stoped to sign the car.
Alas it was in such poor mechanical shape so i could not sell it. I vowed to offer another vehicle one day for a charity auction at a furry convention when I was able to.
It appears that now I am able to do so, and man, what an awesome car.
If you dont know about the E420, its a 4.2 liter v8 DOHC motor that runs smooth as silk, top speed is around 160mph and this car will actually do it (trust me)
I am very particular about this project and this car definately fits the bill, if your interested in learning more, let me know! I'd love to tell you about it.
I want to see everyone at Antheria 2010 because this is where I will make a very important announcement reguarding the car, and you wont hear it if you dont go.

BTW, even if your poor, dont feel left out, the bidding starts at 5$ when its finished ;) that is for a running, driving, smog and safety passing, mechanically sound daily driver that will probably outlast you (mercedes are amazing vehicles, you cant kill them, Kips put Coca Cola in his transmission and it started shifting better.)

Donate to the Anthrocar 2 charity project!
General | Posted 15 years agoAnthrocar 2 needs to happen. This is a special project. Anthrocar was the first thing I had ever done that got me noticed in the fandom and made me feel happy to have the opportunity to showcase some of the greatness that the fandom has to offer.
I have a place that can clearcoat the car once the art is done, however I need to find the right car. it has to be an 86-88 Signature Series in black with the chrome wirespoke hubcaps. It cant be anything but that, and I need to cherrypick it.
I found one already but the funds needed to get it are way out of my reach. they are asking 6995 for that car, and I may have a grand, maybe 2 at most I could possibly pull together on my own through friends and family and things I own being sold (NOT MY FURSUITS)

For those of you that dont know. Anthrocar was a project done in 2003 where artist covered my 87 lincoln town car in furry artwork.
The project was an amazing success, however the car was far to old and broken to sell.
With artist like Bill Holbrook, Dark Natasha, Jessica Willard, Eric Schwartz, Lunarwolf, Borni, Babs Bunny, Revvy Rabbit and tons of others. It was even autographed by some really amazing people that I got to meet. It was a rolling showcase of the furry fandoms personality and truely embodied all that I loved about our community. the art, the humor, the family like style of the things that were written on it.
I want to do it again, and I want to auction off the car at Antheria as part of the charity auction. The problem is, I have no money to buy a car I am just going to give away. I wish i did but the cost of doing that for a good town car is about $2,000 or more. Plus I wouldnt feel right driving around in a car that everyone else bought for me. It would be wrong to do, and nobody would donate money for that.
I'm going to ask you the reader what you think. Should I try to do it... If the car is explicitly for the return of the anthrocar project and for charity, would people donate, and would people spread the word around to get members of the furry community to donate a dollar, or 100 dollars or more to help make this project a reality? Could this be a community project all the way around?
Please dont just read this post, make a comment, tell me what you honestly think I should do, could do and what you think the ramifications are of this.

There arent many things that can bring me to tears, but to put my paws on something he crafted will do it.
I know pouch didnt make the cutest suits all of the time but there was a story in each one. each stitch ment something, something was happening every moment he put a piece of fur together, weather it was talking to me, or getting ready to go to work, or the last stitch before he went to help his ageing mother. He would talk to each suit like it was one of his children being sent off in the world. his heart was in every suit and it showed...
I can only imagine what this suit has to tell.

If your local to SoCal and have a fursuit and would like to appear in a commercial for the upcoming convention being held in Los Angeles, we would love to hear from you!

I've gotten alot of messages from rabbits who are usually very silent in the fandom wishing to recreate a group of bunnies who ARENT yiff toys who live by by some type of cultural standard that soars above and beyond the stereotype of rabbits.
Bunnies,
We are a species that are proud, beautiful and resourceful. Its time to come out of the woodwork, shed the shackles of what our image has become and show the fandom what it truely means to be a rabbit.
We are not just popcorn food for the mass of carnivores. If you feel it, your welcome to join me and my warren of rabbits who stand for pride, trickery and speed. Keen and creative are we. I've gotten alot of messages from rabbits who are usually very silent in the fandom wishing to recreate a group of bunnies who ARENT yiff toys who live by by some type of cultural standard that soars above and beyond the stereotype of rabbits.

Is food to near everything. To make matters worse, I've decided that I am a toast colored and scented 80s rabbit. Who likes butter...

What perks come with joining?
You will ofcourse have a collection of rabbits to call family. I would love to organize rabbit gatherings at conventions and possibly even have a "bunny around the con" type plan. I'd even like to possibly start organizing a stage performance or two with all the rabbits ... maybe a short play or live story or something.
Definately up for some role playing possibly on second life or somewhere else... bunny invasions... bunny raves... I'll be open to ideas and I have some of my own forming if I get enough bunnies interested.
I'll need some help with a logo for the warren and I'd like some suggestions on a name. I rather like the watership down stories and the names and Lapine language used... any ideas?!

NEW LAX FURRY CONVENTION!
General | Posted 16 years agoFolks, in just a little bit I will be posting some information about a new International furry convention that will be premering on October 1st thru 3rd down at the westin LAX.
I know everyone is heading up to FC so I want to start the discussion about it as soon as possible.
Please check my FA journal tonight after midnight PST Where I will post the extensive list of guests and guests of honor.
I'm going to need EVERYONES help raising interest in this convention. Trust me it will be a world class presentation and this WILL be the convention you do not want to miss.
This will be a culmination and collaborative effort from some of the fandoms best and brightest and will be a chance to showcase the talent and beauty of the furry fandom. If your askin yourself if this will be a place to bring your parents to introduce them to the world of Anthropmorphics... You know what I mean when I say "not only yes, but you can do so with absolute pride"
I'm going to post as much information as I can and trust me, you will be hearing alot about us.
Its a convention for you, the people who help make the fandom such a wonderful, vibrant, beautiful and unique place.

Tryng to become a booking agent has been harsh, I found that i would not be paid until mid march at the very soonest.
My efforts to find employment have not stopped, but i am finding that jobs are painfully scarce. Interviews are far more challanging and even with my list of qualificatons I am unable to stroll into an interview and cinch the job.
I am an IT guy. Hardware and systems adminstration are my areas of experience. I'm still foggy on some things mainly because i have not encountered them (active directory, sql databases etc) but for a level 1 or 2 IT guy, I slip in very nicely. this is an industry that is nearly always hireing however as of recently I've found 20 job postings on monster and career builder and only a scant handful on craigslist.
The unemployment offices are overflowing wth people and temp agencies are a mortal enemy of mine (I've had several bad experiences and no good ones. If they dont get paid from the assisngment, you dont... I fell victim to this when I was placed at a honda seat manufacturing plant in ohio. worked for over 80 hours until i injured myself and was both denied payment, and denied any compensation.
I have friends with extensive backgrounds that are flippng burgers for a living right now.
This is a story that continues all across the country.
If you are feeling as have, the only words i can offer you are echoing throughout the states rght now..."you are not alone..."
To my friends and watchers i offer only my understanding and hopes for the best as we dredge our ways through this economic hell. I know its hard, I know its difficult. I am with all of you.
I will be rehashing my art since I am idle and hopefully may start offering cheap commissions. I may also begin to write again. I know my style needs alot of work, its been so long, nearly 15 years. Expect some posts from me that you'd not expect.

I've taken on a bunny form named Toast. Hes a toast colored bunny, little more of a bad ass than your typical furry bunny however. He can fit in with both the well dressed evening club crowd and the metal scene. I'll post more details later.
