If I could be one of God's Malakim..
Posted 5 years agoWhat would be my final imparting words of wisdom that I would share with others?
To love yourselves. To love each other. To love God and His Son, Jesus Christ. To never give up hope that love and light will conquer darkness and evil. That someday you can and will stand before God and His Son Jesus Christ, King of Kings, and be able to say that you brought love and kindness into a cold and fallen world.
I would tell you that if there was just one easy thing you could do while your heart still beats, that it would be to read The Holy Bible, and to give your life over to Jesus Christ. To repent of all sinful and bad behavior you have done. I would urge you to take on the mind of a servant who has a heart full of humility and love. I would tell you to never return evil deeds, abuse, and hate with violence or similar acts, but to return such suffering with love and compassion.
I would say to always judge yourself most critically of all, if you feel anyone really ought to be judged...and to try to never judge others; love them instead. If you see a brother or sister acting in a wrong way, gently teach them the right way out of a loving, compassionate spirit.
I would tell you to pray daily to God. Pray for family. Pray for friends. Pray for strangers. Pray for your enemies and of course to pray for yourself.
I would tell you to always behave yourselves and be wise and gentle in all that you do. It is how God wishes us to be. Also, because there is a GOOD chance that there is an angel near your side that is invisible from your five material senses.
I would tell you to do acts of kindness and good deeds whenever you could, and to never be afraid to show your love of God and His Son Jesus Christ, in public or private. A servant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ should have no fear of ostracism or thoughts of judgment from those in public that they are trying to break free from the bonds of sin in order to help carry them into God's kingdom.
I would warn you to be mindful of the seven deadly sins and to flee from them - lest they consume you from the inside out and make a hollow, empty and uncaring or hateful shell of the man or woman you once were. Lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and perhaps deadliest of all...pride. These are the feelings and sensations that are like kryptonite to one who aspires to serve God's kingdom. Angel killers. Servant slayers. Guard your heart and be ready to do spiritual battle daily with the dark forces who whisper in our ears the rewards and excitement to be had in partaking of these sins.
I would tell you not to be too hard on yourself when you inevitably have a day where a situation occurs where you mess up, stumble and fall by a sinful act, or just generally feel you didn't do as well as you should have done as a Christian. We are not perfect. We are all sinners and had it been possible to achieve perfection under the Law, then there would have been no need for Jesus Christ to save us with His sacrifice. Think about your mistake, and labor to do better next time. Turn your weakness into a process where you can become stronger by mindfully considering how to protect yourself and react next time, should that temptation happen again (..because it most likely will!).
I would urge you to try and save the non-saved. Atheists, the unsure, those who have been ensnared by false doctrines. Go and be a light unto the world. Don't let the scorn or ridicule from family, friends, or strangers stop you. That person or stranger you meet and preach God's word to could very well one day end up being your best friend in heaven, having been made so because it was you who came along on that one fateful day and saved them from their sin and unbelief. How joyful would it be to know you have friends in Heaven who are there because you had a big heart and were not afraid to be persecuted?
Never lose your faith. Never give up hope that you, no matter how small or insignificant - can be a stone in God's sling that can be used to fell the greatest of giants.
Finally I would tell you to keep yourself as having the heart and mind of a child. {And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. -Matthew 18:3}
CARE-A-LOT
(Carole King)
((Song link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ij9Bjl2Gy1c )
Care-a-lot is a place we all can go
Whenever we choose it
Care-a-lot is a feeling we all know
We never do lose it
We can find a secret place
To rest and make a new start
If you don't know where it is
Look inside your heart
Care-a-lot is a playground you can find
For sliding and swinging
Carousels playing music in your mind
For dancing and singing
Sometimes you feel so glad
Sometimes you feel blue
Share your feelings, it's not bad
Feelings are just you
When you're lonely, don't you fret
You're not alone, you just tend to forget
Care-a-lot is easily found
You've been there and you have friends who care
Don't you let your sadness get you down
It always helps when you sing a song
Good cheer carries you along
Through darkness leads to sunlight
A new day comes--it's all right
Care-a-lot is a place you'd like to be
Riding on a cloud
You'll care a lot, it's a rainbow fantasy
For laughing out loud
Care-a-lot is a place we all can go
Come to Care-a-lot, it's a place we all can go
Come to Care-a-lot

The Last Unicorn
Posted 5 years ago(Scene: A forest in late afternoon. Two huntsmen on horses ride in. The first has a black beard; the second is younger and has red hair and a feather in his cap.)
ELDER HUNTSMAN: I mislike the feel of these woods. Creatures that live in a unicorn's forest learn a little magic of their own in time; mainly concerned with disappearing.
YOUNGER HUNTSMAN: Unicorns? I thought they only existed in fairy tales. This is a forest like any other. Isn't it?
ELDER HUNTSMAN: Then why do the leaves never fall here? Or the snow? Why is it always spring here? I tell you, there is one unicorn left in the world, and as long as it lives in this forest, we'll find no game to hunt here.
YOUNGER HUNTSMAN: Let's turn around. Hunt someplace else.
ELDER HUNTSMAN: All right.
(They turn and ride to the edge of the forest.)
ELDER HUNTSMAN: (turns back and calls out) Stay where you are, poor beast. This is no world for you. Stay in your forest and keep your trees green, and your friends protected. And good luck to you, for you are the last.
(They ride away. Close-up of a white, female unicorn.)
UNICORN (voice only): I am the only unicorn there is? The last?
My LORD, my God. My Lord Jesus Christ. My life offered and freely given for all my friends I have ever made in this lifetime. My life for all my friends trapped in this fallen creation of sin. Rescue and save them, Lord Jesus Christ. May their hearts be opened to you. May their hearts be softened and privy to the truth so they rebel against you no longer. I pray for them to be rescued by their faith in Jesus Christ. I offer myself. My service and my life. May your children wake up to the realization of this fallen world they are living in, and I will suffer any punishment you wish in order to appease your wrath. Please Lord, I love them so much. I would willingly die for their sins out of love had Jesus Christ not already done so.
I had forgotten that men cannot see unicorns. If men no longer know what they are looking at, there may well be other unicorns in the world yet, unknown and glad of it.
(Man's Road - America)
Horizon rising up to meet the purple dawn,
Dust demon screaming, bring an eagle to lead me on.
For in my heart, I carry such a heavy load.
Here I am, on man's road.
Walking man's road...
Walking man's road...
I'm hungry, weary, but I cannot lay me down
The rain comes, dreary, but there's no shelter I have found
It will be a long time till I find my abode
Here I am, on man's road.
Walking man's road...
Moon rising, disguising lonely streets in gay displays
The stars fade, the nightshade, falls and makes the world afraid
It waits in silence for the sky to explode
Here I am, on Man's Road
Walking man's road...
Walking man's road...
Walking man's road...
Walking man's road...

Posted 5 years agoWhen the last eagle flies over the last crumbling mountain
And the last lion roars at the last dusty fountain
In the shadow of the forest though she may be old and worn
They will stare unbelieving at the last unicorn
When the first breath of winter through the flowers is icing
And you look to the north and a pale moon is rising
And it seems like all is dying and would leave the world to mourn
In the distance hear the laughter of the last unicorn
I'm alive, I'm alive
When the last moon is cast over the last star of morning
And the future has passed without even a last desperate warning
Then look into the sky where through the clouds a path is torn
Look and see her how she sparkles, it's the last unicorn

The mirror of your dreams
Make believe I'm everywhere
I'm hidden in the lines
Written on the pages
Is the answer to a neverending story

Dream a dream

Rhymes that keep their secrets
Will unfold behind the clouds
And there upon a rainbow
Is the answer to a neverending story

Born again Christian. Let me help you find Jesus! ovo
Posted 7 years agoYup. The new me. The real me. It has been this way for about two years running.
Not going to hide anything pertaining to my account. Suffice to say that the passing of my father around four years ago played a major part in finding Jesus and my path to salvation.
There are many past moments from the old me that I am not proud of - but I guess it takes quite a bit of pressure to form a diamond. When you manage to look within and work to understand who and what you are, what consciousness is, what your place is here among all these other consciousnesses. When you look at your past self and envision a Heaven where only 'Good' is present, and you ask yourself how much of your behavior would be considered acceptable, compassionate, and working towards the benefit of others and not just yourself - you may find yourself realizing just how easy it is to become lulled to sleep by so many material pleasures.
This world and this life is a test folks. It's to see the real 'you' - who you really are. Upon making the choices you make in life that cements what kind of a person you are - who you want to be in the eyes of others, ..only after that do you get fitted into where you go after this consciousness ride we call living.
I spend most of my waking hours studying and researching human history, literature, the gospel, how people behave all around me. Let me just say - the more you manage to destroy your ego - the part of you that makes you want to be cool, have lots of fan art/art of yourself, etc etc and the more you work towards becoming more of an observer of all around you - the more you can really start to see how the world we are living in is sort of like a game simulator and yes, there is an individual running the simulation.
Be kind to others at every step that you are able to. Do the very best that you can. Though we can't always perform flawlessly, the more you will yourself to keep doing better - these actions will be noticed. God - the Father/Jesus is always...always watching. That notion that you are alone at times in your room? When you are surfing the internet? No no, you are not alone. Treat your life as if you are in the Truman Show - and every action and decision you take on a day to day basis is weighed and considered.
A warning, though. If you have lived much or all of your life up until that point in a secular way, focusing on the material, merely what gets put before you without too much thought, you will be in for a wild, wild ride as you ask for Jesus/Father to respond to you and lead you to the truth. There is a lot of esoteric/hidden information in movies like The Matrix, Fight Club, Harry Potter, etc..
Although I beg and plead for everyone who leads a secular life to find the way to truth, I really do want to warn you to be careful. The more you search for the truth/Jesus/etc the more you will find that there are ...entities that will work to trip you up in a variety of ways.
If you would like help in finding Jesus, the truth, or if you are just having 'Bad things' happening in your life and could use some counseling - please, please feel free to hit me up. I am most easily contacted on the virtual game Second Life under the name Seraph777 Resident or you can get in touch with me on Skype- OhnoitstyrantCelestia.
OH! Also - one more thing. DON'T MASTURBATE. I'm not kidding. We're really not given this life to just basically sit around and play with ourselves to feel good all the time. Just think of it as if you were Creator and made little ones. Would you prefer they sit around and do that sort of thing a bunch - or would you prefer them to be able to overcome certain instinctual feels, to be able to master those inclinations and instead put that energy towards changing the world around them for the better. Seriously guys. Stop masturbating. Stop looking at porn. For Heaven's sakes - those of you that know me know that I would never try to steer anyone in a bad direction. Just try it for weeks/months/as long as you are able to. The longer you abstain, the more you reorient your inner compass towards seeking the truth of all things and not aimed at yourself and hedonistic pleasures, the more you find you start to exist in a world that has pseudo Harry Potter like feels to it. You basically become sort of like a wizard and can start reading the energy people exhibit based on how they behave, you start to see how so much going on all around us is performance theater done in ways to keep us asleep. The movie 'They Live' is more of a documentary as opposed to a piece of science fiction.
Want to be like Harry Potter and live in a realm with magic where the realm will start to communicate with you?
NO drugs (I'm not including caffeine in this, though I'm sure there's some hardcore types that abstain)
NO porn/dirty pics (This goes in hand with the next one - don't make/do stuff that will lead others to sin - even if it brings in the $$$$ - think about it, it's obvious that you are basically sacrificing spirit - your own and others...for the much more $$$$ intake you get as opposed to clean/wholesome art)
NO masturbation/fornication (If you can't go without sex, wait until marriage.)
NO swearing (It's low vibration behavior, as is this other stuff)
NO meat/animal products (Reason for this is there is some real bad bad cruelty going on in the meat/dairy industry. This one is up to you but as furries we really should throw our ball in the animals' court here.)
YES Help others, donate to charities, go to church or listen to sermons/broadcasts on radio or online formats, as it is easy to 'fall back asleep' and into sin if you do not constantly refresh yourself with the war that is going on, on this plane.
...I realize that to some folks the above might make me seem like a pretty big square - but I am speaking as someone who lived a very secular/furry life for the majority of their life and has/is tried the alternative. It's a HARD path to walk especially when you are so used to doing the above things - but it can totally be done if you want it bad enough. God will give you the strength to do it. Remember. Nothing in life is guaranteed. We could perish before the day is done if not for the grace of God. There is an actual (spiritual) WAR going on - hard to believe when there can be so much kind, loving, silly furry friends to hang out with and do what we do..
Hope you are all doing well and living blessed lives. I am not the type of person to shove my views onto others, but I am very much the type of person who is willing to give up their own time to help/save/guide others into a much better lifestyle. Love you all!

Gosh, has it really been that long?
Posted 11 years agoSo lets see - it has been about three years if not longer since I last showed signs of life here. There's a lot of old friends who I have spent so many days thinking about. Hoping that they're doing well, in good health, and enjoying life. I've always been able to do well enough in life as long as my friends and those that I care for are doing well themselves.
I should mention I'm a pony these days! I admire the compassion and kindness that the program and its characters promote. I've always identified with Pinkie the most! All that brings me satisfaction in life anymore is trying to bring a smile where I can. Because there's just so much sad stuff going on in the world, you know? Every tidbit of news flying across our screens is so full of violence, anger, hatred or misery. I have to imagine Pinkie wouldn't approve of such a sad, unhappy world! About the most that can be done is just to try and be happy, and to show kindness to others when you can.
Most of my free time is usually either spent relaxing in the virtual world Second Life as a pony or exercising. The exercise comes in the form of late night walks to the tune of 8 to 11 miles, usually every evening! A lot of my old friends might remember me being on the heavier side, though lately I've been managing to lose about 1 lb. every 2 to 3 days. I guess that's pretty fast? I don't really eat that much anymore either. Well I should say I don't really eat that much because I just don't have a desire to eat. It seems so strange to say, right? Everyone usually has that desire when they get hungry. It's just as if that desire never materializes much anymore when hunger hits. If anyone else has a fitbit or just has a desire to see my walking or sleep patterns, hit me up in an IM and I would be happy to provide you with the URL to my fitbit page.
I hope everyone is doing well, and that you're all in good health. I still think about everyone that I've known both here, FA, as well as those of you IRL who I had the luck and good fortune of getting to spend time with. Whether you preferred to call me an acquaintance, friend, girlfriend, I hope your days are filled with happiness! And ponies too, if you like. :)
Please feel free to KIT with me if you like. It would brighten my day!

Califur
Posted 14 years agoCalifur was a lot of fun! The only problem is that is simply seemed to zoom by so quickly. It was really a lot of fun getting to zip around and see some of my old friends since I've managed to lose a good deal of weight. The convention floor space seemed sort of small - though I remember how small Califur used to be, and it certainly seems to be a little bit bigger then back during the Holiday Inn days.
As a whole the convention was pretty quiet. Ended up just splitting a room with Spotty, though I'm considering trying to find a third or fourth person who'd like to share a room with us at the next convention - just for the fun of it.
I spent a good deal of time in the lobby trying to figure out what sort of odd genre of music the hotel was playing. It seemed like some sort of odd mixture of spacey jazz fusion. Will try to put a little bit more out later!

Long overdue update!
Posted 15 years agoI really need to try and toss updates on here a little more often.
Recently had a bunch of funny to laugh at when a babyfur left disparaging remarks on one of my guy's gallery pieces because it involved subject matter that they didn't like. The guy at some point wanted us to censor/modify the keywords so that he wouldn't have to see it whenever he searched for that kind of art. Pretty sure he mentioned reporting the picture as well as a few others because they were offensive to him. Talk about entitlement!
Happy to say that all involved pictures still remain up for anyone to see. Probably guessing that if FA removed all the arts it has whenever an individual was bothered by it - there wouldn't be a lot of art left to look at. Better luck next time, Mr. Censor. :P
I recently acquired a DCU boonie hat to wear when I go out to try and keep from getting sunburned. It comes as summer is just about ready to wind down - but hey, at least I'll have something I can finally wear when I go out on those crazy hot sunny days.
spotz- recently took me to see the USS Midway aircraft carrier that is docked in San Diego, CA. We went on Sept 11, which was our 4 year anniversary! It's really hard to believe that we've been together for all this time already. It seems like it was just yesterday when we haphazardly bumped into each other. I still love that man just as much as the day I fell for him. It was quite a bit of fun to see the carrier - much of which didn't require guided tours, so you are able to explore some areas by yourself if you are so inclined.
The carrier itself also has a package dealie where you can book rooms on-board. It's a one day trip where you sail out to sea and a World War II mock attack is performed against the ship (weather permitting). I'm not sure how much the actors involve you in the act, as we chose to just wander around on the carrier and explore while it was docked.
Gardening is still taking up a good deal of my time. I just have so many of the lil' shits to watch over! A ton of the flowers are blooming now though - so I'll probably try and grab some more pictures today and post them for everyone to see. The sunflowers are in full bloom now - or at least most of them are. It's really amazing to think that such a beautiful and rather tall plant can come from a little itty bitty seed.
I've also been playing Penumbra. Heavens to betsy, is that a really scary game. Blows games like Resident Evil/Silent Hill/etc out of the water, IMHO. It is so scary that I actually have to have Spotz sit with me while I play it. It's really that spooky! I totally recommend it if you dig games that give you major heebie jeebies.

Judge overturns California's ban on same-sex marriage
Posted 15 years agoWow-wee!
(URL: http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/08/04/ca.....1&iref=BN1 )
(CNN) -- A federal judge in California has knocked down the state's voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage, ruling Wednesday that the state's controversial Proposition 8 violates the U.S. Constitution.
Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker found in his ruling that the ban violated the Constitution's equal protection clause under the 14th Amendment.
The closely watched case came some two years after Californians voted to pass Proposition 8, which defined marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
Neither opponents nor supporters of same-sex marriage said before the ruling that it would likely be the last. Both sides said the decision will be appealed and eventually wind up in the U.S. Supreme Court.
Oh my gosh! Wisdom prevails! I realize that this ruling will most certainly be appealed by the bigots/fundies but this is some amazing news. Especially when you consider how much certain religious organizations spearheaded support for Prop 8 through fundraising.

FC room reserved! Let's get this party started! >:)
Posted 15 years agoNoticed that the room blocks opened up today for Further Confusion, so I had a certain scraggly hyena go ahead and reserve a room since I was at work at the time.
We have a room with two beds in the main building, and have applied for a fursuit floor spot. With any luck - this means we will have a room with two beds on the fursuit floor.
spotzwastaken and I are looking into the possibility of taking on one or maybe two people. Any more then that and the room tends to get a little tight on space, as I have a fursuit and I'm expecting there may be a possibility that people wanting to stay in our room might have a suit as well.
If there is anyone out there that wants to hit me up in advance regarding staying with the hyena and I, my email is as follows:
Looking forward to seeing everyone again. :]

A most important decision on my furlough day - 4/20 or 4/22?
Posted 15 years agoSo I have a furlough day that I have to take this month - which is alright because there are a couple of dates that I really wouldn't mind having a day to myself.
4/20:
Almost along the lines of a holiday or holy day in some stoner circles. A day where you can just relax and really chill on your own or with some friends and let yourself mellow out. A very chill day indeed!
4/22:
My birthday. Ugh! But uh.. I guess it's an option. The thought of not having to work on my own birthday is neat - but I really don't have anything planned with anyone - friends or otherwise. There would really be no difference in the general pattern of the this day versus the former option. S'fine though - because I really try to fly under the radar around my birthday - I get so embarrassed when it becomes 'my' day.
I'm up for hanging out with locals on whichever day I take off if anyone is interested - especially if we're talking about the first choice here. Enjoying that day is so much more easier when you are among friends. So uh, guys....4/20 or 4/22? I'm totally on the fence here.
