Posted 2 years agoМеня так давно не было здесь... что аж скопилось 709 уведомлений. Это мощъ. Это сила.
За это время я успел слетать во Владивосток к бабушке. Сходить в океанариум, повидать родственников и всякое прочее поделать. А сейчас у меня хотят взять заказ на оформление сообщества, так что ждите. Обновы не за горами. Наверное.
А ещё я снова взялся за изучения ифкуиля. С целью научиться бегло на нём говорить. Не спрашивайте. Это идея уже не даст мне покоя. У меня большие планы на этот язык, я хочу основательно почудачить.
(будет забавно, если я научусь говорить на ифкуиле лучше, чем на английском :D)

During this time, I managed to fly to Vladivostok to visit my grandma. Went to the oceanarium, met with relatives, and did all sorts of things. And now, I might take a new order for community design, so stay tuned. Updates are just around the corner. Probably.
Oh, and I've started learning Ithkuil again. I aim to become fluent in speaking it. Don't ask why. This idea won't let me rest. I have big plans for this language; I want to have a good chat in it.
(It would be funny if I end up speaking Ithkuil better than English :D)

Unfortunately, my main drawing program did not work on my laptop. Or rather, it doesn't pull it. So, digital oil will have to wait... a couple of months. Or more :D
When I save up for a new pc.
At the moment I'm spending all my time developing the AI. Most of it's already done, and maybe by the end of this week or next week, I'll close that gestalt and be able to go back to painting with a clear head. Until then... I go to sleep with thoughts of AI, and wake up with them. And I go to work with them... And I come back... And when I eat...
don't get bored.

Basically in a technical environment my goals are established, I know what I need and how to go about it. But in the field of art, I don't. Right now I was looking at Itchio, and two ideas came to me, two possible options.
I don't have an established style, I'm still searching for my method. And there is no method in itself, or for customers, in fact. The one that's set up now was actually a bit forced. I'm not so sure about it. I don't like it completely. Coming to it was more logical than emotional and I didn't fully understand it. The picture is clearer now - I can see two main options that can be validated.
All that remains is to find the goal. And since it's nighttime... it's time to try "lazy thinking" :D
P.S.: I don't know why, but I decided to share it here, too. In case you're wondering, the inspirations for these thoughts were two games, Conway's Garden and CUCCCHI.

I'm back
Posted 4 years agoIt was recommended that I go to a psychotherapist to get medication, because it turns out I have a problem. And I would not refuse...
Other than that, everything is fine. And it would be even cooler if the military recruitment office would leave me for good, then my hands would be completely untied and I would be able to deal with my life normally and quietly.
In the meantime, I'll post what I drew in the loony bin in the meantime, heh.

Flash is not dead on FA
Posted 4 years agoSo, guys, I decided to check something out. As you know, FA is no longer allowed to post works in swf format (i.e. programs made in Flash). However, by selecting the file and going to the edit page of the job description... you will notice that under "Category" you can still select the option "Flash".
And now the main trick, what do you think happens if you select this item, post the work, and then try to change the uploaded file? That's right. You'll be able to download the file, format swf!

Now I have even more reason to go back to learning Flash and make some simple game.

There's a site called 10props. There's a contest or something like that going on right now. The 100 best paintings will go to auction, and people who guessed correctly the winners will be able to participate in the raffle.
I don't really care about that. I'm more interested in how people will perceive my work.
So you're welcome to stop by and like my work. And say something here. That would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

The price of such work is $50 for a black-and-white version. And $60 for color.
If you want less detail, the price will be lower. Well, and vice versa, if you need a pile of details - the price will go up.
The workflow is as follows:
- you describe your idea to me;
- I draw one or more sketches;
- you choose one of them (or you don't, and I draw other options);
- you pay for the work;
- I draw an outline for the work and show it to you. And you make edits. Or don't :D;
- I complete the work and send you a link to the file;
- yay, victory!
Deadline - one, two weeks.
