Goodbye 2015 and Hello 2016.

I know the new year is just as important as Christmas in many other countries. To me, I just know that it's no longer the old year but now a new year...*shrugs* and that's it.

I guess it's different to those who are expecting stuff in the new year, but it's pretty much the same for me.

Sorry if this journal's such a killjoy. Happy New Year anyway. Hope you had fun on New Year's Eve and that it's even more pleasant on New Year's Day.

I'd like some advice from anyone that imports music into their game projects or animations. I'm having difficulty choosing on where to get my music.

A very good friend of mine showed me Pinkuboa's blog which has a large list of various sites that offer free music and sound effects for animation and video game projects, which I think is awesome because I keep being led to sites that offer "free" music/sound effects but only if you sign-up and/or pay a fee. These sites should be burned down. Not taken down, BURNED!!!...how to set fire to a website, I dunno.

But before he showed me that, I was, and still am, clingy to Melody Loops. There is a FREE tab that has 15 free-to-use music tracks; it hasn't been updated since earlier this year, but other than those, all the others you have to pay for. I think the prices on each track is either $5 or $10. Not bad from the ones I've been seeing that were between $30 and $100. I've already signed up and have 65 tracks under my favorite list; it's free to listen but for protection there's a "bong" sound that appears every few seconds, depending on how long the music is.

I dunno what to do; either to use some free music/sounds or stop being a begger and cough up $5 for a couple of tracks. Of course my projects are a long way from finished but it's just me thinking ahead too far, a bad habit of mine.

If anyone could throw some info or advice my way, I'd sure appreciate it and maybe calm my brain down some.

Hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas. I'm having a very warm one at the moment. Though it's a relief to everyone else, it's a nuisance to me. I love cold weather; I sleep and think better, and with me expecting it to be in the 30s and 40s, my body is like "wtf?" and I feel a bit sickly from the sudden warmth.

And speaking of Christmas, my RPG Maker project is based around this time of the year. I'm trying to keep hush-hush about it because it could be the greatest or the stupidest thing I've come up with. Before I learned the basics in RPG Maker, I couldn't wait any longer to get started so I wrote three chapters already and I'm already pondering on the fourth chapter. I'm still pondering whether or not to post it because I'd be spoiling the game for the readers and might have some trying wean off the story like a walkthrough when I finally do publish the game. I'm already thinking of how to make the game different from the story.

Well that's enough or my rambling. Gonna go crowd around the Santa tracker with my nieces and great nephews. Everyone have a nice holiday!

25 minutes into my birthday right now (not technically EXACTLY a year old though 'til around 11-ish am) and I'm quite proud of myself. Some weeks before my last journal update, I've finally got grasps of the basics of RPG Maker! Ace, not MV. Still pondering if I really WANT MV since it's just a re-copy of Ace only you can upload games on cells and tablets now. Still long ways off from making a game. Might be able to make a demo if I can pick where it should start.

I'm still trying to get to a Dave and Buster's but that's likely not gonna happen til sometime after my birthday.
I dunno what's in store for me. If anything, it's just gonna be another ordinary day, with Trillian and Skype flooded with bunches of 'happy birthday!'.

First of all, I'd like to wish everyone an early Thanksgiving. May your tummies be happily filled with turkey and stuffing or pizza and french fries. I got talked into baking three cakes. I was gonna do just two, but when I thought about one of the cakes I'm baking is gonna be strawberry (both cake and icing) and my dad's gonna claim it. He LOVES strawberries and anything strawberry flavored. So that'd be two for everyone else and one for him.

After Thanksgiving and before Christmas, my birthday will be arriving and I'll have reached a third decade. Usually this is the part where I'm supposed to say something that I've learned living these thirty years or something inspirational, but I'll save that for when and if I turn 100 :p I still remain young at heart. I may or may not post a new photo of myself on here. Friends keep asking me what do I really look like. I still have that pic in my scraps and though I'm not much to look at, I could've put on a better face in that pic.

And I was wondering why the name "Kiara" was bouncing around in my head for a couple of months. Disney Junior has come up with a new show based off The Lion King called "The Lion Guard" (when I saw the title, I instantly thought of "Coast Guard"). I caught the end of it and though, I didn't see it all, it does look promising. And there are already 20, 30-somethings whining and ranting about the new characters. If there's something I could say about that is that the show wasn't intended for you 20, 30-somethings! It's intended for the 2, 3 year olds still learning the ways of the world, that's why it doesn't appeal to the ones who seen the original movies. It's something I don't understand. Like I said, I didn't see it all but I think it'll make a big and positive effect for the few like me because I swore I got a little bit of my innocence back watching that tid-bit.

I'm a try and start a little sumthin-sumthin I've been thinking about here if anyone wants to help get my creative juices flowing. "SYCO" stands for "Share Your Creative Opinion". It's basically where I ask a question pertaining to one of my stories, little things like something involved in that world or anything behind the scenes, and you can give an answer, if you were in the characters' shoes, in what you would do, say, etc.. Anyone watching or passing by can reply if they don't mind.

Just fair warning: any idea you share I plan to use in my writing projects, so don't blatantly give me an idea you plan to use in your art or story then get mad at me for using it. I may or may not use any ideas posted or I may tweak it a bit if I do use it. If you'd rather keep your opinions and ideas to yourself, that's fine too.

The first SYCO is for Hunted by Prey. A brief summery of it is that humans are randomly captured and brought to a world where a race of furries' (called "Beasts" by humans) favorite pastime is hunting humans in the 'hunting woods'. This is thanks to the hatred put into the Beasts by their 'god', Bardgo, the antagonist.

I don't hunt (though I've always wanted to go hunting during turkey season and get a big arse turkey to bring home for Thanksgiving) though I do know hunters, when they go huntin', either take their kill to a taxidermist to mount it on a wall or stand it in a room, get some use out of the fur or whatever the animal has, and cook the meat from the hunt. I can only picture the Beasts having their human trophies stuffed and put in display in a safari room or in the foyer of some business...which, now that I think about it, would be kinda creepy, or as pets.

Unless they're a real hairy bears (bears as is in the big sexy guys, not actual bears), human skin wouldn't be good to make into shoes or a suit. I don't think we'd taste too good either, no matter how much salt, pepper, and BBQ sauce the Beasts would use. I think the only the Beast would eat from human kills is the liver (something I learned from MANswers). I doubt humans couldn be resourceful for anything but as stuffed trophies and mentally-broken pets.

In Their Shoes: If you were a Beast that loves to hunt humans either for sport or because of your hatred for them, what would you do with your human kill?

Meant to do this on Sunday but my Internet was, and still is, spotty (anyone in the southern area of the U.S. know a better Internet service than Mediacom?). Those that are fathers or father-figures, I hope you got a great day Sunday and those with fathers/father-figures, I hope you spoiled them rotten.

Everything was fine for Father's Day for me, until the next day. My dad had stomach problems and was constantly throwing up and had chills. It sounded more like a stomach bug and my mom had no choice but to call 911. They didn't carry him off immediately so I assume it wasn't that urgent. They put him in a room sometime last night or early morning. They can't find the problem with his stomach yet, but they said his blood was low so they're giving him more blood; he's anemic like me. One of my twin nephews and I are taking this the hardest. I'm more frustrated than upset; I'm still wondering how the hell do you know what the problem is but you can't the exact problem and fix it!

I might end up in the hospital next. . .

Yup! One of those. I'm seeing a lot of people I'm watching posting about sudden changes in their health, so I'm boarding the train too. But no seriously, I thought this was something I could keep under control since I've been dealing with it since I was young.

I have high blood pressure. Something that runs in my family and something I thought I could detect when I got a headache and a fever. Usually it goes up, then comes back down, up and down, but lately it's been staying up: 148/108. A reading that threatened to send me to the E.R.

I've been to the doctor and he's given me meds that I started taken along with a 6 months supply until I can get enough to my doctor...which might be awhile since I found out that my insurance card is useless unless I live a big city or somewhere up north *can already hear  tozi nagging at here*.

So no one panic. I'm fine, at the moment. The doctor said to take these pills in the morning but the way they knock me out, might be better if I take them before bed.

I'm stronger than you think. I've been dealing with bullcrap from practically all my school years being bullied and stress with work, mostly because I've putting up with shit from an employee who should not, and I will not, name, for about 2-3 years. While it's killed me emotionally, I'm surprised all of that hasn't killed me yet.

Not trying to be another Markiplier or Pewdiepie or whoever the biggest YouTube star is these days. Just doing this for fun. I don't do commentary because honestly, I wouldn't know what to talk about while playing. And I hate hearing the sound of my own voice; I'm way past puberty but my voice hasn't caught up yet.

It seems like since this IMVU take over has almost calmed down, I've been seeing constant journals about artists and writers saying they're not furry enough, either because they're not gaining popularity or because they're not into the same kinks like 80% of the furry community. I've sorta came to terms that I'm not gonna be popular since I'm told that unless I write smut, I'm worthless in this community. That's not true.

Some of the general public who know what furries are just think it's nothing but sex, sex, sex and looking through artwork and written work, it seems to be the foundation for the furry community in anything furry. I've come to terms with that also. I'm just one all alone but I've seen awesome smut-less art and read posted stories in the genre, like this , this , this , this , this , this and this just to name a few. It's just looked over because most of the furry audience are still under the age of 18 and still finding themselves or over 18 think that sex is everything and nothing else.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I'm above or anyone else is above porn. I mean hell, go through my favorites and guess if you see what ONE of my kinks are and I recently posted something that drew for me just because he's cool like that (thanks again Ty-Ty!) and clicking on those links above, going through the artists' page, finding porn and then going "AH HA! THEY DO PORN!" doesn't change a thing either. Bet you go back over their pages and see their clean art is just as good as their naughty art.

I'm just saying we could do better. Give a brighter spotlight to fursuiters who entertain us at weekend conventions then go to a childrens' hospital to make sickly kids feel better or those who volunteer at an animal shelter but aren't so butt-hurt like PETA (seriously, if someone talks shit about the furry community, tell them about PETA if they don't know about. They will not rest until we're eating vegetables, dirt, rocks, water, and our own shit or killed by our own pet cats and goldfish).

And porn isn't limited to just furry. ANYTHING that exist can be turned to porn *snaps her finger* just like that, in art, story form, animation, sound bites, whatever. It's possible. I'm pretty sure there's a talented artists out there, who knows nothing about furries, whose doing XXX art of the Crystal Gems from Steven Universe right now. I remember, before finding out what furry was, I accidentally stumbled upon...*shudders* Rugrats porn. It took me 4 months to recover from that.

So you and/or your works aren't getting appreciated because there's no sex in them or you're not allowing your character(s) to whore themselves out. It's frustrating, I know, but don't let it be a problem. See it more as a hurdle that you have to jump over somehow. All problems have solutions, you just need to figure out which works for you. I printed some of my works out and let those of the non-furry race read and they said they really enjoyed it. So that's telling me I should share my work with the general population, not just in this fandom.

My words probably don't mean much. Don't even know why I'm writing this. Hell, some probably just said TL;DR halfway through the first paragraph. Guess what I'm trying to say is there's no such thing as being "too furry". Being furry means being you and drawing/writing/doing what you like to do. Some draw furry/anime cuteness, some draw a vixen with three cocks, some draw an anime-styled vixen with three cocks. It's something they do and something their watchers enjoy. If your not getting any attention, spread yourself out (NOT LIKE THAT! Get your head out the gutter!). Don't just hang around FA. Search for other trusted art sites and see how it works out for you.

Like I said, I dunno if this helping anyway. I guess I shoulda said from the start: Don't give up, keep doing what you love, and if people have a problem with it, keep doing it while flipping the middle finger.

...especially with a post-apocalyptic setting. Seems like when I wanna write something where this happens or that happens or I want the character to have this or that, it's impossible because, supposedly, things are limited: weapons, technology, food, etc.

I stupidly looked at this at what almost every other writer is writing: zombie apocalypse setting; where everyone who hasn't been infected by whatever caused the dead to limp around and attempt to eat your brains are boarded up in someone else's house or a large place of business and sneaking around into other houses or stores to find what supplies are left behind.

I'm not doing zombies though, I'm doing aliens that are attempting to take over Earth in a different way other than blast everyone to kingdom come.

It's disheartening and trying to think of people/places/alien tech gives me more migraines than the ones I have during my time of the month (and stuff like this makes me madder...) but I know I got a good thing going here so I'm not quitting. Just that I know this story is going to be a lot more work because I don't wanna be like "this happens because that happened, so there!" with everything and leave big-ass holes open everywhere in the story.

did suggest a sci-fi RPG series that I could use as a reference for writing a sci-fi story but sadly I can't remember it. Forgive me, Forrester, if you're reading and if you could remind me again. And if anyone else, sci-fi readers, writers, fans, whoever's more of a genius than I am when it comes to science-fiction wanna throw some suggestions my way, it'd be very much appreciated.

No, nothing has happened. Nothing that can be talked about and I'd rather not vent at people I care about about things that can't be understood or fixed and it's not fair to pass on my negative emotions onto them either.

I guess all the pent up frustration I've had for years, from discouraging family members, bullying I suffered from 1st grade to 12th grade, and co-workers who are critical about every little thing I do wrong, is finally letting itself out. And I dunno why I didn't let it out 10-11 years ago because I actually feel relaxed.

I'm not saying that you have to tip-toe around me or that I'm gonna punch you in my face if you approach me with a friendly hello. I'm still a nice person but just not as trusting and naive anymore.

Not to sure what to do on this day. Birthdays don't seem like a big deal in my family anymore after you turn 16, but I bet someone's going to try to get me to drink liquor at some point. I've never drunk a day in my life. I'm not against it or anything. I just don't think about it. I hate the smell of beer and wine so I don't think I'd like the taste either. I'm planning to get a Wii U and hopefully Super Smash Bros for Wii but something tells me, from seeing all the journals, everyone will be all Smashed out by the time I get it.
