I duno, Just an update thingie do, recovered from covid again, working alot. Messing around with The Tower on mobile and playing Path of Exile 2, thats really about it currently. Man I have a very base level life XD

It is.. an interesting thing that despite the fact I am on FA quite literally on a daily basis as soon as im off work, Faving and on rare occasions commenting when im not just mass going through the influx of uploads, that I then look at my own account and realize man.. I... dont get a lot of stuff for myself when my last upload is 5 years old.. and my journals are 2 years. It also makes me realize, I loser track of time.. a lot.. really easy when I cans wear it seemed like i make my posts at most a year ago. Its just a... very odd concept to realize.. and also I really wish I commissioned more stuff XD I am just way to paranoid and frugal alas. And work keeping me well tied up a majority of the time.

So its 2021 which Is awesome I guess, my years been pretty straight forward honestly not much changed all in all its been decent enough despite all the insanity.

However my 2021 hasnt started off the best since Ive discovered Ive tested positive for covid, though thats been expected by this point as Ive lost all sense of smell and taste for the last couple of days. Fun fact, Way more of a bummer then any other symptom I currently have... Eating is.. a real bore when you taste nothing -_-

Otherwise Im alright and just thought it was worth an update on things, honestly Id be better at answering direct questions then trying to list the mass variety of different things in my head XD

I Havent even realized its been three years since I last wrote something, that seems.. a tad longer then expected for sure. I mean thankfully Im sitll alive, Im still well, Im still over worked and really need to get more art of myself but Im terrible about spending money on myself when bills and other people certainly seem more important XD BUT THATS BESIDES THE POINT.

So sometimes, on rare occasion it is known that this particular alligator has some deep thoughts and curiosities.

Today I spent time pondering the particular question of Fursuits, Fursuiting, and the fandom in general and I would quite love to hear some of your own personal opinions and Ideas. Fursuiters are, in a nutshell a large face of the fandom, they're the most noticeable and obvious creatures in any given room from furcons, to random outings, anime conventions, comics, you name it, you can spot a fursuiter.

This year at megaplex I got to wear my partial for the first time, I had an amazing time in it, had fun, know and feel like I need a lot of work on myself to truly make it pop and be memorable. But I had a really great time and really enjoyed it. So My questions is I suppose what are YOUR thoughts on Fursuits? If you're a fursuiter, why do you fursuit? What does Fursuiting mean to YOU . Even if youre not a suiter, how do you feel about them? Is it something you'd try, or wonder about?

So ill be driving to megaplex tommorow, July 30th.. which i also the day of this Alligators hatching, aka birthday, Ill be 26.. and always.. feel no different then any other year that Ive grown older XD I will say I am probably a bit wiser though, so thats pretty cool

Honestly there have been days Ive felt moments away from a nervous breakdown, but I shall endure, I shall continue on and I shall make it through with the love and support of my friends and family! I have in the past written journals of a similar theme. Curious as to peoples thoughts and inputs however I think this time I have something that is a bit more in depth.

What does it mean to be a furry to you? Is it a perversion? A passing Fad that youll grow out of? Is it spiritual or is it a lifestyle to you? The fandom as a whole can be defined in a vast spectrum of different ways and Im curious as to what ways the people who watch me, or the people who just happen to stumble across this journal view the meaning of being a furry.

To me when I started it was a passing curiosity. Something I kept hidden mainly only interested in the adult side of things. I was young, and its likely expected and true for a lot of people. Porn is not exactly some unheard of crazy thing amongst us now is it? However as time passed and I grew older that curiosity shifted it grew deeper and took root, I found much more meaning in what being a furry was to me. I started to express myself more, I let it in to more of my life to be more open about it. And I dont think thats a bad thing Furries to me are open minded, Creative, Its the ability to accept people for not only who they are NOW but who they wish to be.Its kind of ironic that we who get accused of hiding behind our characters, tend to be the most openly honest about ourselves a good portion of the time.

Is there Drama? Oh gods yes; Are there negative sides to it? of course there are, but such arguments can apply to anything and everything and just because a select few cause an issue it shouldnt reflect on the whole as "The Fandom". To me being a furry became more a lifestyle a conscious decision to live my life a certain way and through that I have met some incredibly interesting people. As well as some of the best friends I could have ever imagined having. To me this is what being a furry is, Its a lifestyle, hell its My Life, Im pushing almost 9 years of having been in the fandom and at this point.. I can no longer imagine NOT having it as a part of me and I wouldn't want it any other way.

I understand not everyone is going to agree with this, But thats kind of the point isnt it? Were not all the same and its through different views that we learn more. So I'd love to hear your personal opinions about what it means to be a furry.

Much like Last year when I wrote the journal detailing my first fur con experience. I will once again write up a journal about all the experiences and events that happened to me on my second trip to the most wonderful of places known as Megaplex in Orlando Florida.

The trip started on Wednesday when my very good and very dear friends  bpanthress,  puckthezennec, and  javameerkat showed up at my house. BPanthress had driven all the way from Missouri to come attend megaplex as her first kind of official Furcon, I helped her with funds and on the first night they were here we all went to the beach. It was a blast BPanthress having never been to the ocean before had an amazing time and afterwards took her to a nearby restaurant where she had freshly caught seafood and a proper key lime pie!

Thursday we woke up at dawn and watched the sunrise over the ocean from the hotel balcony and a walk along the shore. We took a few photos of Raxi before loading up into the cars and making our way towards Orlando. I rode with BP and got to the hotel at around 3pm. Not much happened on Thursday until the convention opened for registration. Thursday alone almost had more people registered then the entire amount of people that attended the year before. Last year around 800 people attended megaplex, this year was 1200 attendees. Thursday night was the bowling, got to see and chat with a few suiters though I didnt go to the bowling event. I met James Blackwell  hassonassassin for the first time in person Thursday night, having finally reached the hotel he was to be rooming with me and BP.

Friday morning started with us all going to opening ceremonies. The Convention staff detailing the various activities, guests of honor (MaryMouse and TanidaReal) Etiqutte and such for the weekend. During the opening ceremonies it was also revealed that if we could reach certain milestones of donations to charity that KP would wear the pink bunny pajamas from a Christmas story. By the end of opening ceremonies Donations for the C.A.R.E Fonudation had already reached a thousand dollars, and ensured KP would be wearing the bunny suit all Friday, eventually enough money was raised to keep himin the suit for the entire convention, culminating in a total of over 10,000 dollars being raised for charity. (Yay Furries!) I attended  VitaiSlade Finance panel which was quite good and very informative. Also I wore my tail for the very first time, That was such an interesting experience, I was a little embarrassed at first feeling kind of silly but the more I wore the more it felt like a part of me and all the compliments I received from everyone about it. By the end of the con I think I had worn it for well over 80% of the time I was there and it makes me all the more yearn to have a full partial for next year at least. For those that saw my huge gator tail and those who complimented or commented on it Thank You ^_^ It meant a lot to me, and I have never been so happy as when I was wearing it and being silly.

Oh God there was so much stuff I don’t even think I can remember all of it.

Saturday I attended quite a few panels. Mainly Puck the Zennecs panels and was handling for  Raxi_Puppy in fursuit. I got to watch the fursuit parade and the dance competition which was full of super talented dancers. Whom many of which you can find their dances over on youtube but special shout out to Huggles who is just awesome in general.
Sunday I helped with the Sofurry.Com Meet and greet panel since, for those who aren’t aware. I am a SoFurry staff member, Chat Moderator to be precise. It was a good time and wonderful meeting the people who wished to know more about the website as well as meet the staff and listen to future projects and goals. Later in the day went and watched the pawpets show and closing ceremonies and spent the rest of the evening wearing my tail around and talking to friends.

Monday Myself, BPanthress, Puck, and James all finally parted ways. BP and Puck drove me home where we hung out a bit longer, going to the beach again and hanging out. We went out to eat at outback and had one last amazing hoorah before they had to leave.
All in all it was an utterly mind blowing trip, something that I am ever so glad I have made into a yearly event for me. Megaplex is an incredible con hosted and staffed by amazing people and many many awesome attendees. If you’ve enevr been to a furcon Id highly recommend going to Megaplex, and if you do go, never be afraid to come say hey to a derpy silly albino alligator ^_^
